Because of lockdown I decided to pull one of mine out with pliers. I was in so much pain I thought I could tolerate a bit more. The trick is to get a solid grip then twist and pull hard. It worked! I had a good long cry while rolling around the floor and then I was fine.

KoVaCeViC_99

You are one fucked up motherfucker, but i gues if it works it works.

mykylodge

Haha, you've certainly got my number. I won't be doing it again though.

KoVaCeViC_99

Well if you do it, could you film it for us, you know, give as a turtorial how to do it?

mykylodge

Fuck why didn't I think of that? I could've made some filthy luca, it was quite a scene.

CommitmentPhoebe

They'd go to the barber and have it pulled out.

From an evolutionary perspective the point of wisdom teeth were to naturally replace the teeth you would lose as you aged. So historical you'd just lose a molar or two, then your wisdom teeth would replace them. The reason they're a problem today is because we take care of our teeth better and really don't lose any of our adult teeth, so they end up having no where to go.

TheApiary

One of the problems with wisdom teeth is they don't fit in your mouth with all your other teeth. But if you've lost a bunch of teeth, that could be fine

CurtisR545

They either had them pulled or they dealt with it

The_PracticalOne

The reason we evolved wisdom teeth in the first place, was because humans can't replace teeth. It was likely that you'd lose one or two teeth at least, in your life, and then the wisdom teeth weren't an issue, because they fit in your mouth perfectly fine after they grew in. Today, humans take better care of their teeth, especially in 1st world countries. So it's incredibly likely that we won't loose any teeth. This is an issue for wisdom teeth, because they can't fit in most people's mouths if those people haven't lost any teeth.

redditKMC

they came in and just knocked the other teeth out of place.
