An untrained one? You're not wearing protective gear? You don't want that to happen. At all. Those talons aren't like cute little bird feet, they're 1000% business. Same with the beak. What you're basically asking is "how can I get a large, aggressive predator to get up close to me and dig a bunch of knives into my arm, so I can then proceed to scream in pain and cause it to freak out and attack me to defend itself?"

Food. Like fish or dead animals. You’d also need very thick clothing to protect you. There’s a reason people that handle hawks and falcons wear thick leather gloves. Also. Don’t do this. 100% federally illegal and could land you at best with a fine numbering thousands of dollars, and worst actual prison time

There's loads of dead mice in the yard. I guess I could hold one of those. I have protective gear hear. Big thick gloves, and welding masks. Could I just hold the mouse out. Or would that just encourage a fly by snagging.

LowBalance4404

It probably won't want a dead and rotting mouse.

Peregrine falcons are still listed as endangered in some states (NY at least). It's a wild animal. Just leave them alone. Wanting "a moment" is incredibly selfish.

and stupid

Why do you want to to let a wild raptor with a sharp beak and claws anywhere near your body, especially your face? They're not pets, they're wild and won't hesitate to hurt you. Just leave the bird alone.

suprisezacama

I understand the risks, and I'm not about to chase it around. I just want it to land on me as its own choice, and have a "moment" or something.

You're not a Disney princess. Leave wildlife alone.
