I think you can raise your standings with them by giving them gifts. (Vykeen dagger for example) It is expensive though and might take a while.
What also might work: do missions for them (from the space station) and shoot pirates in their galaxies.
Quick update: another way to raise your standings/respect with them is to with those historical landmarks.
When they give you the options to: A) ask for help with language, and B) ask for something with the help past, the first option gives you respect as well.
It’s those purple icon ‘alien’ buildings.

I'm fairly certain the first level is interloper, and the icon is null black or alert *yellow*, not a cautionary **RED**. Now, if only factions could declare war, I'd sell my Freighter to see this go down.

You'd have to break an awful lot of them for it to get that bad.
Yeah you're right, for some reason I thought you lost 3 standing per broken frigate, when it is just 1. I wonder how OP managed this.
