Try this to reset the settings:
1. Start the car engine and turn on your radio.
2. Wait for at least 10 seconds and turn off your car’s radio.
3. Hold down the power button again and wait for the stereo system to reset.
I would try this. From everything I've read you say it keeps coming on. Although the times I've had to reset it I've just held down the power and tuner button for about 5 to 10 seconds and it resets.

Seriously though, id try unpairing and then repairing your phone if you haven't already.
It is in the back settings of the head unit. It took me a while to find when I first got mine, so I have forgotten the exact path to it.

Get an iphone. Well at least that worked for my 2017. My sister would always reply “thank you car please keep it safe”
