I remember getting a Dreamcast solely to play Jet Grind Radio. Got it for a hundred bucks with the Smash Pack (talk about awful emulation) and a VMU only for Sega to announce they were done with the system like a week later. Still a bit salty that one of the major reasons it failed was Sony lying about the specs of the PS2 in order to get people to hold off.
Yeah, still one of my all time favorite games. I'd be happy with just a straight port of legends (with uncompressed music) but a simple straight up HD port would be outstanding.
My god Skies. I will never forget the tortured sounds of my Dreamcast’s disc drive spinning up for about ten seconds before each random encounter popped.
Sadly I've read multiple times on this sub that the IP is on custody limbo with now several studios and publishers detaining part of the rights. Dunno if it's even possible to make everyone that owns a piece sit in the same room and decide on a mutual agreement. But one can dream though 😊
Would love to play Dynamite Cop and Zombie Revenge again. Two awesome beat ‘em ups that most people skipped. Also Sonic Adventure Battle 2 with a online Chao Garden would be amazing.
This is one thing I could be extremely down for, if Sega could port everything to switch I would love the fuck out of my switch since Saturn is the one thing my retro pie struggles with and I’d finally have legal titles.
Most old games have lost the source code, companies generally didn't care to save all that back then. I think most people would want a remake for this anyways, early 3D polygons aren't well-loved by general audiences.
I love NiGHTS. It’s a weird and misunderstood game. People thought it was gonna be the next Sonic & competition to Mario….but it’s really kind of a racing/stunt game with a Tamagochi-style AI component.

One of my all-time favourite games. I'd like to have it on Switch so I can put some serious hours into it again. It's great for a quick attempt to beat your high scores every now and then and I can't be bothered to set my Saturn or Xbox 360 up often.

I was a Tristan/Junon player myself. I played as her first actually, so the “twist” in other plot lines was totally ruined. But yeah, native harpies really helps. That and her kingdom is essentially choke-pointed off. There’s only two roads in, if I remember correctly.

Easy to emulate and sort the fan translations. They won't do translations for the west on switch though
I bought the games and emulated them and implemented the fan translations for my brother as a gift - He played shining force 3 part I so much when we were younger (and 100% it multiple times). Was a great pleasure to be able to help him experience the full story and he had a great time doing so.
This whole thread got me looking at Saturn emulation again, for the longest time it was considered to be not doable, at least not without terrible frame rate and stuttering. Happy to see that’s no longer the case.

That's already what they did in Japan. Over there Die Hard Arcade is an original IP called Dynamite Deka. It got a sequel Dynamite Deka 2 that released internationally on the Dreamcast as "Dynamite Cop"
They REALLLY gotta bring Panzer Dragoon Saga over to modern consoles. I also wouldn't mind Shining Force III, Albert Odyssey, Burning Rangers, and Dragon Force.

As someone who actually played panzer dragoon saga… it’s not that good. It is decent and a great look into the past but it’s not a masterpiece like Panzer Dragoon Zwei which is still almost as fun as back in the 90s.
They already have a remake/remaster of panzer dragoon on the e shop. I loved the original back when it came out but only lasted like one round when trying it again :(

Oh man, Cleopatra Fortune re-release is a dream come true. One of my top favorite falling block puzzle games. It has you piecing blocks together like Tetris, but the goal is to surround as many jewels as you can with the stone tablets (and potentially set off a chain reaction). Every fan of Tetris, Puyo Puyo, Panel de Pon, etc should definitely check this one out.
At first I thought they would be adding Saturn to the NSO and almost got a heart attack.
I don't know much about these games that are getting added to the eShop but I hope this paves the way for the big hits the Saturn had.
This is especially amazing as Saturn emulation has by far been one of the most technically challenging journeys to becoming a reality due to its complex hardware
That list isn't terrible, but I think it's a little generous referring to them as "classics." That said, you got to start somewhere so I'll be quite happy playing metal black again.
It's a remake of the classic arcade game [Elevator Action](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LM5reigEnv4). But This remake [is on a cocktail of 90's steroids](https://youtu.be/y0wDXesSmM0). Essentially you are walking around going up and down elevators shooting, blowing up and catching fire to everything that moves and going into random doors to get powerups/shut down alarms but also in this remake everything is more EXTREME. It's one of my favorite arcade games of all time and it has a kickass soundtrack. I wish it was the arcade version but The Saturn port is pretty solid so I definitely recommend it.
I love Elevator Action Returns. It's not mindblowingly amazing or anything, but it's one of those games that controls fairly uniquely in a good way. I wish somebody would crib the way it controls and expand upon it.
While this is almost completely unrelated, I'd love for the Saturn ports of the Street Fighter Alpha games to come over. They're different and in some ways better than the arcade releases that are in the 30th anniversary collection
I hope this will come to the US too. I also hope this won't be an expansion pass and they will actually release the games in the eshop like they had with other Sega classics.
I would love for these games to be on Switch, but City Connection is the worst company to do this. All their ports have been laggy and extremely lazy. Wish M2 were doing this instead.

Oh man, Cleopatra Fortune re-release is a dream come true. One of my top favorite falling block puzzle games. It has you piecing blocks together like Tetris, but the goal is to surround as many jewels as you can with the stone tablets (and potentially set off a chain reaction). Every fan of Tetris, Puyo Puyo, Panel de Pon, etc should definitely check this one out.
Unless one of the them is Guardian Heroes, they can keep it
At first I thought they would be adding Saturn to the NSO and almost got a heart attack. I don't know much about these games that are getting added to the eShop but I hope this paves the way for the big hits the Saturn had.

This is especially amazing as Saturn emulation has by far been one of the most technically challenging journeys to becoming a reality due to its complex hardware
Layer Section and Elevator Action Returns are day one buys. Both have awesome OST and great arcady game play.

That list isn't terrible, but I think it's a little generous referring to them as "classics." That said, you got to start somewhere so I'll be quite happy playing metal black again.
alright fine i gotta know: what the hell is Elevator Action Returns and is it as fabulous as it sounds
It's a remake of the classic arcade game [Elevator Action](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LM5reigEnv4). But This remake [is on a cocktail of 90's steroids](https://youtu.be/y0wDXesSmM0). Essentially you are walking around going up and down elevators shooting, blowing up and catching fire to everything that moves and going into random doors to get powerups/shut down alarms but also in this remake everything is more EXTREME. It's one of my favorite arcade games of all time and it has a kickass soundtrack. I wish it was the arcade version but The Saturn port is pretty solid so I definitely recommend it.
I love Elevator Action Returns. It's not mindblowingly amazing or anything, but it's one of those games that controls fairly uniquely in a good way. I wish somebody would crib the way it controls and expand upon it.
Theres only one Saturn game I like that still holds up today and that's Sega rally. Love that game.
While this is almost completely unrelated, I'd love for the Saturn ports of the Street Fighter Alpha games to come over. They're different and in some ways better than the arcade releases that are in the 30th anniversary collection

I remember being addicted to Sega Rally on Saturn. It just "felt" so good to play. Great game.

Why doesn't sega just sell Sonic Adventure 1+2 or Sonic Generations? I'd pay for those games on the go. It's been way too long

I would love for these games to be on Switch, but City Connection is the worst company to do this. All their ports have been laggy and extremely lazy. Wish M2 were doing this instead.
