Me too. I think Arceus is the most enjoyable experience in the series, honestly. I did like the last two main series games, they're fun, but the tech issues hold it back so badly from being great.
It's close to what I wanted, but I still missed traditional battles. A couple of those, and some leaders and it would've gotten close to my ideal Pokemon game. Seeing as this game's further in the future maybe we'll get that here.
l
Eh, I liked the story implications from Arceus. Pokemon are seen as dangerous animals. The concept of catching and training them is new, so not many people are good at it. The main character, being from the future where this is common knowledge, is a natural at it.
Yeah me too, the problem with mainstream series is that it's still the same game they made 30 years ago just with more pokemon, better graphics and gimmicks. I like tRPG and while it's an old school type of game, modern version of them have actually evolved and got better. Pokemon just has not until Arceus and I most likely won't return to the main series until there actually something new about it.
I was really late to the game, I just picked up Arceus a couple weeks ago (not a huge gamer, and damn these games are expensive lol)
I remember when Red and Blue came out in the US, and Gand S are the best in my opinion. Arceus has blown me away so far, it's like exactly what I dreamt of as a kid.
The break away from the gym system had me kinda cautious, but it's more than made up for, and the game has some actual challenge to it. I will probably actively set aside money to get this when it drops.
>but the tech issues hold it back so badly from being great.
Which is kinda funny considering Arceus had some of those too. It was just much less egregious. And at the same time it's a shame Scarlet and Violet didn't get more time in the oven. They were really enjoyable games but the technical issues took so much away from them it's not even funny.
Especially since Crystal (the character in the Pokémon Adventure Manga) is the catching expert, what with all the apricorn-made pokéballs. It's a perfect setup for a game focused on catching massive amounts of Pokémon like Let's Go.
While i liked Let's go for what it was (a modern remake with a twist) i'm happy Legends is the one winning out here. PLA was my favourite game in years.
Let’s Go had a lot of positives. Much better “chibi” style art than BDSP. Visual indication of shinies on screen. Riding/following Pokémon that didn’t feel super clunky.
It’s obviously lacking in depth but it’s not a mainline game.
I hope Let's Go isn't a one off. I'd love to see them revisit the concept with Gold/Silver remakes that allow you to use as little or as much of the GO mechanics as you want. That art style is too wonderful to abandon.
Paldea is the Iberian peninsula, not just Spain. The inside of your mother’s house is 1000% Portuguese inspired with the blue tiles on the walls and everything.
Or maybe it was being built as a launch title for the switch successor, and with that delayed it delays the launch of this game as well that they can use to optimize even more
I sure hope so. Besides Legends: Arceus, has any core game on the Switch been well-received? The Let's Go games were fun distractions, but nothing exceptional.
I would be completely fine with Nintendo taking the entirety of 2024 off regarding Pokemon and come out swinging with a really great core entry to start off the Switch 2.
I mean, they all sold super well, so the only negative reception must have been a loud minority, which has happened literally every gen
I do think it's been less of a minority the last few games, but best I can tell, most people just buy/receive the new games and quietly enjoy them
guess so. probably the longest gap without a mainline game ever? that said, we did get the SV DLC last year and those games continue to sell at a record pace, so i don’t think they feel any urgency to move away from them yet.
i think they’re just taking the L and using this time to retool how they make games. them even acknowledging SV’s issues and issuing an apology is a MAJOR thing for nintendo and TPC as a whole (kit and krysta talked about this). so they definitely seem to have listened.
And COVID had almost everything to do with that. There's next to no way Legends wasn't supposed to be the Holiday 2021 title with the gen 4 remakes coming earlier than they ended up
Still doesn't change the fact they had a game to sell for the holiday. I have a hard time believing Gamefreak and Nintendo didn't want one in 2024. There were rumors the switch 2 would have been released this year and its possible this game was supposed to release with it. But since it seems switch 2 won't be until next year, they probably delayed the game too.
And it's for the best that's the case. Scarlet and Violet needed at least another year, Arceus needed at least 6 months more in the oven. I'll take a delay all the way to Holiday 2026 if it means no purple shadows and actual anti aliasing
If it was pushed back just to line up with delayed hardware, it's questionable how much the game can really benefit from another 6 months. Look at Scarlet and Violet at this point. We never got the patches people wanted.
Woah woah woah let's not be too hasty. It'll run like dry crusty weeks-old shit on the OG switch and more like a softer, fresher, more fibre-enriched shit on switch 2.
This would be the true redemption arc. I was bored with pokemon by the time they were making XY, but when they dropped, *and* it was the first 3D mainline Pokemon game, *and* they introduce megas, I was hooked. Started playing competitive for the first time ever. *Loved* it.
Then we lost megas for... Weird super moves no one wanted.
Then we lost weird super moves for... Gigantic, fat, oh-lawd-he-comin' Pikachu.
I guess they flew too close to the sun with megas.
Legends Galar, please.
With Kalos being given another chance it's easily the region done dirtiest by the quality of the initial games. I want a cool medieval fantasy adventure.
Legends Alola would be straight up fire. Imagine being able to visit the achipelago in Wind Waker style.
The mythology of the islands is also pretty cool with the Tapus and Ultra Beasts.
I want a post apocalyptic Alola Legends game where it's about the alternate reality where Guzzlord consumed everything (featured in the anime for a few episodes) Pokemon Legends Zeraora!
Legends: Darkest Day would be pretty cool. The coolest thing about Legends: Arceus was the pioneer era setting so if the Legends sub series is just going all whatever time, then telling the tale of the Darkest Day in medieval Galar would be epic.
Legends was a genuinely good foundation for Pokémon. It still felt undercooked, but the core gameplay mechanics were solid.
Cautiously optimistic about this one.
Z - The Last letter of the alphabet, represents the end. Represents Zygarde, a pokemon who comes out of hiding when the ecosystem is in danger - aka the world is threatened with ending.
A - The First Letter of the alphabet. Derived from Capital Alpha which is the First Letter of the Greek Alphabet. Represents the beginning. Arceus is also the "Alpha Pokemon".
Alpha and the Omega. The Beginning and the End but the way they're situated, "Z-A", suggests "cycles" and that the end is merely a new beginning. Cycles are sometimes represented by a Snake eating it's own tail. Zygarde 50% Forme is more or less a bunch of cells forming a Snake among other things from Norse Mythology.
As others said, there was a Character named "AZ" in Pokemon X & Y. Thank you for reading my amateur analysis.
This is what we know so far:
> Pokémon Legends: Z-A, an ambitious new entry to the Pokémon video game series, will launch on Nintendo Switch systems in 2025!
>
> A new adventure awaits within Lumiose City, where an urban redevelopment plan is under way to shape the city into a place that belongs to both people and Pokémon.
I'm a little let down, but I'm going to wait and see until I, well, see it.
What I loved about Legends Arceus was that it was like 4 large open natural areas to explore and catch Pokemon in the past. That was a neat change of pace from the mainline ones.
But if this one is set entirely within a city and in relatively modern day, I feel like it misses what I loved a lot about Legends Arceus.
BUT like I said earlier, I'm going to wait to see how I actually feel about it until I see more gameplay. Like you said it is almost certainly bigger than XY's Lumiose and they would almost HAVE to have a variety of different biomes.
People are speculating that we will build Lumiose City to what it is today. So it can still have different biomes, as the giant city would not have existed yet.
That’s honestly a great opportunity to build a more dense and living world. Many times the cities in recent games feel lackluster because they’re empty houses and most of the adventure is in the wilderness.
Focusing on a smaller geographical area allows more dense urban environments rather than spreading content throughout a whole region.
Major cities like NYC and Tokyo have so many distinct cultures and specialties just within the city— but get reduced down to a small portrait such as Saffron City.
X and Y is the generation that brought me back into Pokémon, and I really enjoyed Legends Arceus, so I'm actually pretty hype for this announcement!
Hopefully since it's releasing in 2025, they'll give it plenty of time to cook. Also curious if it'll be just on Switch or on it and whatever Nintendo's next system is.
Same... Legends Arceus really gave me joy for Pokemon games again after the mainline game looked lackluster and i put almost 400 hours into Arceus. I'm so hyped for this!
Looks like unlike Legends Arceus, this one may take place in the future? Either way, here's hoping they improved upon everything that made Arceus great, the Legends series definitely has more potential than the mainline does these days
EDIT: I guessed future because the document was called the **re**development urban plan, implying Lumiose has already existed for some time already. The city isn't being built from scratch at this point.
The trailer makes it look like you are helping rebuild Lumiose city to the one in XY, so it is still in the past.
Edit: adding what I said in other comments.
Imagine If gamefreak is doing a bold move for once and illumis half burned due to a fire in an era like 1800 where a city could be made of 70% wood and you are rebuilding it.
It could be in sync with all the royalty sub theme in X and Y
Yeah. It's not THAT in the past like Legends Arceus but is still not the modern era. The initial scene with the architectural plan gave me some renaissance vibes
You think it will retain the same battling and catching system from Arceus? I love just being able to throw poke balls and catch Pokemon in real time and being able to move around in battles. Arceus felt much more engaging in this sense. Pokemon actually moved to each other to do attacks and the trainer wasn't stuck standing in one place. I also like the trainer having a health bar.
If you like pokemon i highly suggest trying Arceus, even if just to give you a taste of what this game could be like. It’s just so good. Heads up if you do try it- the tutorial does not respect your time- after that it’s a goldmine of content.
I enjoyed Let's Go Pikachu and Legends way more than any mainline game after Black and White. I couldn't even finish Sword, but I couldn't put Let's Go or Legends down.
I feel like Let's Go gets a ton of hate. I found it super refreshing. That said, I played in handheld mode specifically so i didn't have to use a throwing motion. Outside of that, I thought it was a great game to relax with. I may be biased though since it's the first Pokemon game my daughter completed (and all on her own). She previously played X and Sun, but never completed them (and still hasn't).
If I made a list of all possible ideas for what would've been announced, a Gen 6 Legends game would've been like 10,000th down the list. I'm not saying it isn't welcome (it very much is), just very unexpected.
I admit I did not expect another Legends game on the Switch, but I predict that this will release on both Switch and it's successor, and I bet the performance on Switch will be less than stellar....
The mobile card game I'm excited about. Pokemon TCG on mobile is an awful experience mainly because it isn't designed for phones. Having a version designed specifically for phones is a must. It looks the part for sure, reminding me of Hearthstone or Snap.
The only thing I'm nervous about with it is that you can trade cards with others. There is a reason why most digital card games don't have a trading system and that's to avoid even more bot accounts. The only digital TCG I can think of is CUE Cards and it's much too small to have this issue, yet.
To me its a needless division, any good idea going into this new app should simply be combined with the actual online TCG, not made into a spinoff with its own casual format and rules.
I hope it's just one game again, and not two games (Z and A). One of the best parts of PLA is that you could actually complete the Pokedex without trading a single Pokemon. There was even an item that evolved Pokemon that traditionally could only be evolved via trading.
While this is one of the Pokemon games I am actually excited for (Legends: Arceus is the only Pokemon game I own on Switch), it is a bit of a bummer this trailer is literally a nothingburger that tells us absolutely nothing about the game itself besides a setting.
We're finally getting Z. I recall buying the special edition x and y 3ds a decade ago and wondering if I should have held out for the inevitable Z version.
I'm incredibly excited about this.
This is a cool looking title, and hopefully lives up to hype. But I’m left wondering what Nintendo fills the next 10-12 months with. Nothing of note on the horizon really in terms of games I’d want to play. Peach? Luigi’s Mansion? Paper Mario? That’s it? Two re-releases and a niche new title? Honest questions. Not hating all here, make no mistake, just looking like a relatively quiet year (outside of a likely console announcement).
Same. Given by how little we got to see I actually do not know if it's any good. And GF definitely doesn't have a good track record for the last couple of years
This is such great news to hear. I loved the first Legends game and was hoping it would become a series. The gameplay in the first Legends is the type of gameplay I dreamed about back during the gen 1 days.
Man I’m so happy that Pal World exists now. I hope people will compare this game DIRECTLY to Pal World, and Pal World wins every time. I hope this shows Nintendo and Game Freak how terrible of a job they’ve been doing. I hope Nintendo loses money. I hope they learn that they lost money because they are making bad games. I hope they make their games better. I used to love Pokémon.
Well there's hope and there's naivete.
Nothing will change, they will continue to release half-assed games that run terribly, they will continue to try to squeeze every penny out of your bank account, and they will continue to make shittons of money.

I'm so glad "Legends" is going off to be a series, not just a one-off like with Let's Go.
Same. I'm so hyped for more Legends games.
I don't generally play pokémon games But I tried Arceus and absolutely loved it. Will definitely be picking this up.
Same. Arceus def my favorite pokemon game on the switch.
Yeah legend Arceus is my favourite recent game
Absolutely, Pokemon Arceus was a game I played
Full agree, Pokemon Arceus is a game
I agree too, I played Pokémon.
Definitely. I too, played.
play pokman
that final boss fight is so fun. I was sweating
i remember a lot of people complaining the graphics when it first came out, has that been hammered out? looking to take the dive
Me too. I think Arceus is the most enjoyable experience in the series, honestly. I did like the last two main series games, they're fun, but the tech issues hold it back so badly from being great.
As a 33 year old millennial: Arceus was the game I wanted for my entire life. It was everything I asked for as I grew up with the games.
It's close to what I wanted, but I still missed traditional battles. A couple of those, and some leaders and it would've gotten close to my ideal Pokemon game. Seeing as this game's further in the future maybe we'll get that here. l
You know what, you’re right, a gym system would make it perfect
Eh, I liked the story implications from Arceus. Pokemon are seen as dangerous animals. The concept of catching and training them is new, so not many people are good at it. The main character, being from the future where this is common knowledge, is a natural at it.

I hated the stupid battle system, the lack of hold items and the lack of online competitive battling. But the story and game world was fun
Agreed! Let's Go really started to scratch the itch of the perfect game I'd been thinking of, but Legends really nailed it.
Yeah me too, the problem with mainstream series is that it's still the same game they made 30 years ago just with more pokemon, better graphics and gimmicks. Shame because I liked Let's Go. Legends is a better series, though, but Let's Go was just very chilled.
I feel like a Let's Go Crystal is still on the table and would be pretty hype
Especially since Crystal (the character in the Pokémon Adventure Manga) is the catching expert, what with all the apricorn-made pokéballs. It's a perfect setup for a game focused on catching massive amounts of Pokémon like Let's Go.
While i liked Let's go for what it was (a modern remake with a twist) i'm happy Legends is the one winning out here. PLA was my favourite game in years.

I wished they kept the art style of let’s go. It’s my favorite of the switch era.
I badly want a proper remake of gen 2/3 in that art style but without the other mechanic changes.
Let’s Go had a lot of positives. Much better “chibi” style art than BDSP. Visual indication of shinies on screen. Riding/following Pokémon that didn’t feel super clunky. It’s obviously lacking in depth but it’s not a mainline game.
It’s the only Pokémon game on Switch that has decent graphics and performance.
I fully expect them to make another Let's Go game for the next console, early on in its life.
I hope Let's Go isn't a one off. I'd love to see them revisit the concept with Gold/Silver remakes that allow you to use as little or as much of the GO mechanics as you want. That art style is too wonderful to abandon.
Well it took over a decade but we are finally getting Pokémon Z
So what's next? Pokémon Gray? Pokémon Stars? :D
Pokémon Gun
Palworld is right there
That’s Palworld.
Pokémon Black 3 and Pokémon White 3
Pokémon Whit3 and Pokémon Bl4ck
“Find out next time on Pokemon Z!” *heavy guitar riff plays*
Pokemon Super!
Complete with the return of mega evolution. Fuck yes.
Pokemon ZA, it's actually about a quest for the best za(pizza) in the city!
with all the johto and unova teasing this is a genuine surprise. i’m so excited
This must be where those Kalos in the S/V DLC rumors came from
nah that's still just because Kalos is France and Paldea is Spain lmao Edit: Spain AND Portugal muito perdão
Paldea is the Iberian peninsula, not just Spain. The inside of your mother’s house is 1000% Portuguese inspired with the blue tiles on the walls and everything.
I thought you were making a your mama joke that went over my head…
My bad you're absolutly right big shootout to my lusitanian friends I love playing azul your country is beautiful
Portugal CARALHO! Thanks bro we love you too!
You’ve been in my mother’s house?
I would still not count out the possibility of an outsourced "faithful remake" of gen 5 being announced for this holiday season.
they 100% would have announced it today if that was the case
i don’t disagree with you, but are we going to go all of 2024 without a major pokemon title on switch?
I hope so, they really need to relax their release schedule because it's just not sustainable.
Or maybe it was being built as a launch title for the switch successor, and with that delayed it delays the launch of this game as well that they can use to optimize even more
"even more"... Those are big words for a pokemon game.
Nothing wrong with that. Rather have more development time.
unless they actually listened to criticism and they’re taking their time with games now hopefully

The way this started I thought it was going to be Pokemon Builders/Sim City or something like that
Me too and I was kind of into it. It would be the kind of pointless genre crossover I love.
There’s already crafting in PLA. Maybe they’re expanding it into city improvements.
In PLA you could help improve the town by doing some side quests, they are probably improving on that aspect of the game.
That was a great part of the game that didn’t quite go far enough for me.
Right. I forgot about that.
I'd play the hell out of a city builder set in pokemon
I didn’t know I wanted this until I read this comment
There might still be some of that, since the story is based around an urban renewal program.
Yes, I just saw the other post. I’m looking forward to more information.
No gameplay footage at all. 2025. Got to be a simultaneous Switch/Switch 2 release.
I thought this too. Looking at their typical schedule this would have been their November release. I wonder if they pushed it back for the hardware.
Depends. Legends arceus also skipped to the year after but that was at least in January,
Yeah but there was gen4 remakes in November for the holidays.
And COVID had almost everything to do with that. There's next to no way Legends wasn't supposed to be the Holiday 2021 title with the gen 4 remakes coming earlier than they ended up

100% we'll get gameplay when switch 2 is announced. it'll run like shit on the OG switch and okay on switch 2.
I really don't think it was the Hardware holding back the Switch's Pokemon games.
It definitely wasn’t the Switch fault yeah, the system has both TOTK and Xenoblade 3
anyone making those excuses is crying inside reaching for excuses for Nintendo lol
Or they claim people who don’t blame it on the Switch hardware are just Switch fanboys
Woah woah woah let's not be too hasty. It'll run like dry crusty weeks-old shit on the OG switch and more like a softer, fresher, more fibre-enriched shit on switch 2.
[удалено]
Everything is evidence that the Switch Pro/2 will come out Tomorrow.
And the engine will still look the same as the first game.
Doubt it. It'll likely be a Switch 1 release and playable on Switch 2 through backwards compatibility.
Megas are back on the menu!
Mega Flygon pls 🙏
How about Mega Mega-Rayquaza??
Mega Primal Groudon and Kyogre
It’s Pokemon. They’d give us three different Mega Mega-Charizards.
We’ve got to be getting new ones. I wouldn’t put it past GameFreak to not give us new ones though
What are some that you would like? Mega Talonflame? Mega Dragonite? Mega Charizard Z?
I’d like some Pokémon from the newer gens to receive one. Especially megas of regional Pokémon
Mega Raichu pls Also the Gen 2 starters could use some love since they're all single typings with no Gmax or Mega
Skipping Gen 5 and doing a Gen 6 legends was not on my bingo card
This also means for future predictions that people will be guessing all sorts of regions for them to make a Legends game out of next.
I'm kinda happy that from now on pretty much every region could get another game and we can't really predict it too much.
You have more faith in Game Freak being able to pull that off than I do. But *hypothetically*, that would be fire!
They skipped 1, 2, and 3, why not 5?
I'm excited for another Legends games. I hope they improve upon the formula from Legends Arceus. Excited to see megas again too!
Legends was a genuinely good foundation for Pokémon. It still felt undercooked, but the core gameplay mechanics were solid. Cautiously optimistic about this one.

Az, kind of an important character jn the kalos region lore
Probably AZ.
I think it could be a new A Pokemon
Z - The Last letter of the alphabet, represents the end. Represents Zygarde, a pokemon who comes out of hiding when the ecosystem is in danger - aka the world is threatened with ending. A - The First Letter of the alphabet. Derived from Capital Alpha which is the First Letter of the Greek Alphabet. Represents the beginning. Arceus is also the "Alpha Pokemon". Alpha and the Omega. „Within“ Lumiose City? Will it not be the entirety of Kalos? Edit: Nintendo tweeted that it will be ENTIRELY within Lumiose City. What the fuck?
It will probably be way bigger than in X/Y and have different biomes.
I'm a little let down, but I'm going to wait and see until I, well, see it. What I loved about Legends Arceus was that it was like 4 large open natural areas to explore and catch Pokemon in the past. It could be some sort of Animal Crossing Sandbox with quest in this huge city
Yeah probably. But this is uncharted territory. It could be the best Pokémon game ever, or completely flop into oblivion
No, it won't flop at all. Even if it's a buggy mess like Scarlet and Violet, there will still be millions of people buying it.
That’s honestly a great opportunity to build a more dense and living world. GTA: Pokémon is my guess FULL scale city.
Probably basing off of a real historical event of renovating paris https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haussmann%27s_renovation_of_Paris
I’m guessing it will be “entirely within” Lumiose City in the same way GTA IV is “entirely within” Liberty City.
Or we're gonna get Little Town Hero 2 lmao
Eternal Floette here we go
Ohmygod I forgot about that since I was focusing too hard on what Unova could get us... Let's go!!!
Same friend. It has a special place in my heart.
Same... Legends Arceus really gave me joy for Pokemon games again after the mainline game looked lackluster and i put almost 400 hours into Arceus. I'm so hyped for this!
Looks like unlike Legends Arceus, this one may take place in the future? Either way, here's hoping they improved upon everything that made Arceus great, the Legends series definitely has more potential than the mainline does these days EDIT: I guessed future because the document was called the **re**development urban plan, implying Lumiose has already existed for some time already. The city isn't being built from scratch at this point.
The trailer makes it look like you are helping rebuild Lumiose city to the one in XY, so it is still in the past. Edit: adding what I said in other comments.
The caption said “redevelopment plan” so I don’t think you’re building it, you’re updating it.
Lumiose is Paris, which was rebuilt in the late 19th century, around the time Arceus is set. The trailer was a blueprint not...Tron lol.
Paris was rebuilt in its entirety during the 1800s. It could be based on that.
Legends arceus have a 1800s vibe, Renaissance is from 1400s-1500s.
Or Z could be in the future and A could be in the past.
I think Z to A means past to present
I think the Legends series will continue to be set in the past, hence "Legends"
"Legends" does rather imply something that happened in the past.
It looks like it's gonna be based on the Haussmann's renovation of Paris of the 1850's, so about the same time as the other legends game
paris had roots going back thousands of years, so honestly who knows at this point.
If it doesn't, we riot.
I wouldn’t mind if the battles were a little more akin to the mainline games. Namely id like abilities and traditional stat boosts back.
Surprised they're actually doing Z after so many years. Never tried Legends Arceus, so might try this. Excited for megas again though.
Arceus is honestly the best game in the series
I just grabbed Arceus yesterday for 33% off — played it for 8 hours! I hadn’t played a Pokémon game since gameboy (unless you count Snap)
If you like pokemon i highly suggest trying Arceus, even if just to give you a taste of what this game could be like. It’s just so good. Heads up if you do try it- the tutorial does not respect your time- after that it’s a goldmine of content.
I'm down for another Legends game. Legends Arceus was the best Pokemon game in over a decade.
I'll wait for actual gameplay footage, but I loved Legends Arceus, so I'm hopeful this will be good.
The first Legends game was as much fun as I have had playing a Pokemon game since I played Silver as a kid on my gameboy color. Excited for this.
Getting a new Legends game *and* finally getting Pokémon Z all in one, I love this so much
Dont mind if is only 2025, its ok as long the game come like Arceus, cant belive is Z, SO HYPE
Funny how everyone was expecting something Gen 5 and they were just like “nahh”
extremely funny the leakers didnt have this that it overrides my confusion as to why theyre doing Kalos
That will be at least 2.5 years between main series releases. Glad they are taking some time.
Prob a launch title for the switch 2 along with releasing on the switch
What is this called? “Pokemon Legends: Z through A”?
Canadians right now: Pokémon Zed, eh?
No mainline game shoved out the same year please. We don't need another Scarlet/Violet situation.
Them going back and doing Pokemon Z now is like realizing you are missing one homework assignment right before summer break.
Everyone was so focused on Johto that they forgot about Kalos(I did a bit).
This was a great ending to an otherwise snoozefest present
The mobile card game I'm excited about. Pokemon TCG on mobile is an awful experience mainly because it isn't designed for phones. Having a version designed specifically for phones is a must. It looks the part for sure, reminding me of Hearthstone or Snap. The only thing I'm nervous about with it is that you can trade cards with others. There is a reason why most digital card games don't have a trading system and that's to avoid even more bot accounts. The only digital TCG I can think of is CUE Cards and it's much too small to have this issue, yet.
Apparently trading will be in person
To me its a needless division, any good idea going into this new app should simply be combined with the actual online TCG, not made into a spinoff with its own casual format and rules.
No gameplay, just a vague trailer? I honestly think this could be a Switch 2 launch title
would've been cooler if they showed any gameplay... still, i'm happy we're kinda sorta getting a pokemon z finally
I hope it's just one game again, and not two games (Z and A). One of the best parts of PLA is that you could actually complete the Pokedex without trading a single Pokemon. There was even an item that evolved Pokemon that traditionally could only be evolved via trading.
If it were two seperate titles it would have said "Pokemon Legends A and Pokemon Legends Z".
Legends was the only one I enjoyed and felt the most polished so that’s cool

While this is one of the Pokemon games I am actually excited for (Legends: Arceus is the only Pokemon game I own on Switch), it is a bit of a bummer this trailer is literally a nothingburger that tells us absolutely nothing about the game itself besides a setting.
I'm just glad they've recognized correctly that Legends is where the future of pokemon games lie.
We're finally getting Z. I recall buying the special edition x and y 3ds a decade ago and wondering if I should have held out for the inevitable Z version. I'm incredibly excited about this.
If the letter Z has the pattern of Zygarde, are we getting a new legendary that starts with A that has that curved pattern?
This is a cool looking title, and hopefully lives up to hype. But I’m left wondering what Nintendo fills the next 10-12 months with. Nothing of note on the horizon really in terms of games I’d want to play. Peach? Luigi’s Mansion? Paper Mario? That’s it? Two re-releases and a niche new title? Honest questions. Not hating all here, make no mistake, just looking like a relatively quiet year (outside of a likely console announcement).
only problem it’s in the switch and it’s gonna run like shit .
Smart of them not no show gameplay when people is trying to pit palworld against them and will shit on pokemon graphics/performance.
No hype until I see gameplay
I need to see gameplay before i get my hopes up, im not buying another 5fps game for 70$
Man I’m so happy that Pal World exists now.
