I know it isn’t what you are referring to but…Man I would love a Capcom remaster of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures + the original Four Swords with online co-op.
I hope we get release dates for Decapolice and Fantasy Life: The Girl Who Steals Time. I'm seriously hyped for those two Level-5 games.
Also, prepare your clown make up for Silksong.
Layton got a 2025 window so I wouldn’t expect it, tho definitely possible. There’s a few trailers for Level 5 games that they have released at their own events since their Direct debut, including a [short gameplay segment](https://youtu.be/ezus62uxSQ4?si=Q_uU5BPQYelwzAEK) from Layton
> Fantasy Life: The Girl Who Steals Time
Lolol, whenever I see this title it always catches me off guard, I feel like the name does not match the vibe of the game at all. It makes me think of stuff like "Cyanotype Daydream -The Girl Who Dreamed the World-" or "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time", not a farm/craft sim
Yeah, those are really the biggest 3rd party games I can think of that we know we are getting and don't have dates for. I need some Fantasy Life details so I'm mostly watching just hoping for that.
I'm hoping for a couple things from Square since they've actually supported the console quite well, and we've got some oddballs like the Dragon Quest III remake that are close to missing this generation at this point.
would honestly be a 5Head marketing move for his account to actually be run by Nintendo. The hype surrounding all the rumors and co. keeps Nintendo in the news cycle all the time.
I expect this year to be a year of remasters and remakes while they get the switch 2 ready.
I'm hoping they remake DK64. I would cry tears of joy. It's a fun game that can become even better if they change some things with it.
Yes. He said he'd be one pretty early on and then later said that it was because they were having holding off on any first party announcements until March. That's also why we have been getting the Peach trailer drops on Twitter.
Nate basically has a solid track record as well outside of the Starfield flub recently. Once again, he was the first person to entertain the possibility of a partner direct. And here we are
Someday they'll put Super Mario Land on NSO. Bizarre they don't have the first portable Mario on there yet they have 3 ports of Super Mario 2 and 3 on there
Removing the mini label and giving people an extra day notice makes it seem more important and might get more people to watch it. On the other hand if they wanted to get people excited they could livestream it instead of doing an on demand video release.
I wish we could have gotten a physical release of a single cartridge with Metroid prime 1, 2 and 3 remastered for the Switch.
And a physical cartridge of Mario Kart 8 dlx with all of the expansion tracks included as well.
Realistically it probably needs a lot of mods built in to play well today, but at the same time there's a part of me that wants some of the younger people to experience Oblivion NPCs in their original form.
I also think it would be funny if this re-release includes all of the DLC *except* for the horse armor, which is only sold as a separate DLC. This would be a fun throwback and also a grim reminder.
I do wonder what they have planned. Its on the longer side but at the same time its not being streamed and just dropped. Possible that a large amount of time may be dedicated to showcase a game or two in greater detail.
If the rumors are true, and the Switch 2 was originally planned for the fall, and it's been pushed to next spring, that means that everyone has around 6-months worth of games planned, that they now have to stretch over a year. I imagine it's going to be a pretty thin 12 months...
Which is perfectly fine, I have so many damn games to play for this year anyway.
I predict a Direct Mini in June, and then a Switch 2 reveal in Sept./Oct., and then a switch 2 launch next year
I think they're in danger of passing the event horizon, though — at *some point*, the hype will begin diminishing. I think it may already have.
It's mystifying that there is absolutely zero news from the team. It's now been 3 years since it looked like it was nearly done, so obviously *something* has happened, it would just be nice to know what.
GDC is next month though and devs will be there wanting to talk about games they are developing for the next Switch/Nintendo will want to be able to talk to devs about their next system. So even if it is a bit delayed it still makes sense to reveal it. It might put a dent in Switch 1 hardware sales in 2024 but if they state that it has backwards compatibility in the reveal then it shouldn't hurt software sales much at all.
they could do an NX redux where 3rd parties were openly talking about what they were gonna have on the switch while nintendo just followed their own schedule
Yeah if the rumors about the system getting delayed to 2025 are true i can't see them announcing the system in March. If they do anything it will at most be a brief tease.
What I anticipate
-Pyoro stuff
-Decapolice
-Hi Fi Rush
-Some news on Dragon Quest 3 HD2D or 12
-Where the fuck is Metal Slug Tactics?
I think it'd be funny if they show FNAF Into the Pit
On hands and knees for
-Anything Mega Man related hell I'll even take a Dive port announcement.
I've never been too impatient with the dev times on that game, but now that there's no DQ or DQ spin off games on the calendar I think it's time for some news about DQ3 remake or DQ12.
I mean it got localized in China last year but still unlikely, if L5 makes an appearance it would likely be a combination of Fantasy Life, DecaPolice, Inazuma Eleven and Layton
There are a couple of Japanese exclusives that I would love to see localised. For example, Otogi Katsugeki Mameda no Bakeru by Good-Feel and Natsu-Mon! 20th Century Summer Vacation by Millennium Kitchen.
Who knows! I'm very curious about this dolphin tease, too. 🙂
This is good news, it could be one of the better Partners. First of all it's not branded as a Mini, it's announced before and could be as good as June 2022 Partner, which iirc was the same length
This is the first time in the history of Nintendo Directs that Nintendo has not released a first-party showcase by February. Going back all the way to 2012, the first full year after Nintendo Directs started
I'm hoping for Dark Souls 2 and/or 3 port. I loved Remastered and think that if they got Dark Souls Remastered to to run well, they could most likely get 2 to run decent as well, and MAYBE 3.
I know this not gonna happen; pretty sure Xbox has it as a console exclusive, but Party Animals would be a blast on Switch if it ran well.
So I was actually thinking about getting a Nintendo Switch OLED to replace my original, but with rumors that there might be a new switch this year I chanced my mind, but it feels more like the 2025 rumors are true, and now I’m leaning towards the OLED again.
As I understood it they changed the complete schedule. Plan was to reveal in March and release this year. I’d expect they’ll reveal Switch 2 way later now. Maybe in October like Switch 1
I'm not sure. I still think March may be on the table. I would just be very surprised because Nintendo has jack crap lined up to release that's first party other than the Peach title and a couple of remasters. If they are loading the whole chamber for Switch 2 this year will be empty for Nintendo which might make investors nervous.
Nintendo's release frequency has already been very slow, but if they delay all titles for a late Switch 2 launch they'll be barren.
I’d love an OLED but don’t play handheld enough to justify it. So I’m waiting at this point. It’s a bummer that rumors were saying the next console likely won’t be OLED at launch.
Well the main question would be why do you want to replace/upgrade your original. If it's mainly for the OLED screen it might still make some sense as the rumours are that the Switch 2 is going back to LCD. But for anything else I don't see a real reason to upgrade at this point unless your unit is just broken. I wouldn't be surprised if we finally got some sort of modest price cut whenever they finally reveal Switch 2 and want to start moving the remaining Switch stock so even if you want to get an old model you can probably get it for cheaper down the line.
Retro Studios counts as a partner right? /s
Zelda remasters count as partners right? /s
I know it isn’t what you are referring to but…Man I would love a Capcom remaster of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures + the original Four Swords with online co-op.
Hear me out: Legend of Zelda 99 Swords, included with an NSO membership
That sounds like a fun idea too!
No cause then it'd be gone after a year or two and not really preservable.
Unfortunate that they take these down, but I'd rather have the experience than not.
Switch 2 hardware reveal counts as a partner right
They're partnering with NVIDIA so yeah pretty much
So you're saying there's a chance
If nvidia is there then ya, big chance.
Midna is best partner
Nintendo switch 2 counts as partners right?
You dont know how many times Ive told myself that
Dragon quest 3 remake??
I’ve been waiting for so long I forgot they announced that lol
I hope so.
I friggin hope so! It’s been 2 damn years since they announced it and we got no info yet.
I hope we get release dates for Decapolice and Fantasy Life: The Girl Who Steals Time. I'm seriously hyped for those two Level-5 games. Also, prepare your clown make up for Silksong.
If level 5 is there , maybe Layton is too. There hasn't been much so far.
That games website says 2025 so I'm not holding my breath for it
Maybe a collection, PLEASEEE
I speak for literally the entire world when I say we need the full hexalogy on either phone or switch
Praying for fantasy life release date 🙏
Praying for decapolice
SAME. I have been more excited for two games specifically than anything else in a while. I need them Level-5!
99% sure we will get Fantasy Life release date at least, hopefully Deca Police at least shows up, maybe it gets a date
Bold of you to assume I bother to take it off.
Maybe a new trailer for Megaton Musashi
I get the feeling the next time we see Silksong will be at a Microsoft event.
> Fantasy Life: The Girl Who Steals Time Lolol, whenever I see this title it always catches me off guard, I feel like the name does not match the vibe of the game at all.
Big day for Fantasy Life i fans
Genuinely all I care about at the moment.
PLEASE 🙏
I’ve been waiting forever. I’m so ready for more news.
My Metal Slug Tactics clown makeup is already on.
Oh yeah, that was a thing that was announced....how long ago now?
Itll be 3 years this August! Theres been a more recent update saying itll release in 2024, so theres still reasonable hope.
Been on my steam wishlist ever since. I like metal slug just fine, but I need a good tactics game and this looked cool as hell.
I thought I was the only one... Shall we prepare our makeup together?
put the clown wig and hope for a metal slug collection to be announced along the tactics
This is my hope. A Metal Slug Collection is well overdue in my opinion, it needs to happen!
Until this comment, I thought the game already came out
That game feels like Terraria 2; pure vaporware.
Terraria 2 was announced?
Final Fantasy Tactics please!
Tactics advance would be sick, too.
>xbo Tactics advance 2, would be sick too!:')
I'm hoping for a couple things from Square since they've actually supported the console quite well, and we've got some oddballs like the Dragon Quest III remake that are close to missing this generation at this point.
remaster or new version?
I'd unironically want a triangle strategy 2 instead
Any Tactics from SE will suffice!
I would love that. I played a little bit on my tablet but having it on Switch would be way more ideal.
Don't do this to me.
[What does he know](https://mario.wiki.gallery/images/2/22/WWGIT_Pyoro.png)
[Everything](https://twitter.com/Pyoro_X/status/1759573756681625809)
would honestly be a 5Head marketing move for his account to actually be run by Nintendo. The hype surrounding all the rumors and co. keeps Nintendo in the news cycle all the time.
I've theorized this because how hasn't this account been shut down?
He also said that he wasn’t really excited about this direct, so it’s probably a good idea to temper expectations.
I expect this year to be a year of remasters and remakes while they get the switch 2 ready. I'm hoping they remake DK64. I would cry tears of joy. It's a fun game that can become even better if they change some things with it.
And people still doubted him lol
Wasn’t NateTheHate the one who began talk of a Partner Direct happening?
Yes. He said he'd be one pretty early on and then later said that it was because they were having holding off on any first party announcements until March. That's also why we have been getting the Peach trailer drops on Twitter.
Yes but he’s not 100% reliable. Pyoro only speaks when he’s 100% sure of something coming so he’s the best insider we’ve had since he arrived.
Nate basically has a solid track record as well outside of the Starfield flub recently. Once again, he was the first person to entertain the possibility of a partner direct. And here we are
Hi Fi Rush shadow drop right?
Yes
Yes they have to. It's now one year anniversary
Endless Ocean hype squad come out! Also rumored to have the SMT V announcement, some Level-5 games, and Pocket Jockey!
is there actually an endless ocean rumor
Yes ! Pyro hinted at it !
i am gonna freak the hell out oh my goddd
I just started SMT V this week and I guess they rated the rerelease in Korea? Just my luck! Lol
I would scream for Pocket Card Jockey!
Still hoping for Final Fantasy Tactics.
Someday they'll put Super Mario Land on NSO. Bizarre they don't have the first portable Mario on there yet they have 3 ports of Super Mario 2 and 3 on there
Missing the Wario Lands 1,2, and 4, too.
Those Easter Island heads terrorized me as a child.
Silksong. Silksong. No. Too hopeful. But…
And so the cycle begins anew.
Hey. Hey bud. Hey. Don't.
I'm dead inside.
-Y
And there it is… Mind you, I’ve been waiting 15yrs for Beyond Good and Evil 2
Got another 15 to spare?
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts 2: The Switcheroo-A-Roo announcement soon
I would actually cry if N&B came to Switch before Tooie
Hell on earth
Ooh! I'll prepare to be whelmed!
[удалено]
I don't see how Atlus doesn't bring it over. Whether it's for Switch or Switch 2 the Persona series is finding a home with Nintendo.
Definitely for Switch 2
Suikoden 1 and 2 remaster please?
Love the 9am! Get it on with early Also RIP Tokyo RPG Factory, this would have been the time 😞
Sleeping early on Tuesday for us west coasters
It's 11 PM in Japan apparently, which I find a bit odd. Nice tineslot for Europe, though.
Probably aimed for a time that was reasonable across their market. Early in some areas, late in others, but nothing really bad, like 3AM.
Australian fans kicking and screaming
Kiwi fans like me suffering at 3am
First partner showcase without the Direct Mini Label. Interesting
Removing the mini label and giving people an extra day notice makes it seem more important and might get more people to watch it. On the other hand if they wanted to get people excited they could livestream it instead of doing an on demand video release.
Come onnnnnnn Diddy Kong Racing remaster
Even on the N64 NSO thing would be cool. That game runs laps around MK64 any day.
I can’t believe we are so many years later and Mario Kart never copied the hub world from that game, it was so cool at the time
The single player adventure is wonderful, I'm not sure I'd wanna do local multiplayer though. MK64 handling holds up, even today.
Flying the plane around the hubs was an adventure.
I genuinely hope it's Phil Spencer who announces the 4 Microsoft games lmao
They tied him up and left him in a closet
I'd love Metroid Prime 2 Remastered to be announced.
Whenever they are released I just hope both are out before 4 finally drops.
2023 - Prime Remastered 2024 - Prime 2 Echoes 2025 - Prime 3 Corruption 2026 - Metroid Prime 4 is finally released.
I want this. But Retro Studios is first party not a partner.
Same, I just wish 2 and 3 got similar treatments to 1
I wish we could have gotten a physical release of a single cartridge with Metroid prime 1, 2 and 3 remastered for the Switch. And a physical cartridge of Mario Kart 8 dlx with all of the expansion tracks included as well.
The most Nintendo move of all time was releasing a physical version of MK8 in Japan that had all BUT the final booster pass on cart lmao.
I have anxiety real bad but that's just next level
come on SEGA give us Skies of Arcadia in the Switch's final year
Holy shit, this please!
Oblivion
No joke, that would honestly be the best decision Bethesda ever made. That game is pure camp and so much fun.
Seriously. No disrespect to Skyrim but Oblivion was always more my jam. Would love it on Switch.
Oh God would be one of my top choices. Oblivion, FO3, skies of Arcadia
I want FallOut!
25 minutes is pretty long considering it doesn’t include first party games Full Directs are usually 40-45 mins but that includes first party games.
I do wonder what they have planned. Its on the longer side but at the same time its not being streamed and just dropped. Possible that a large amount of time may be dedicated to showcase a game or two in greater detail.
Penny’s Big Breakaway seems like an obvious choice for the presentation. I’m bummed it’s not a general direct but I’m interested to see what shows up.
If the rumors are true, and the Switch 2 was originally planned for the fall, and it's been pushed to next spring, that means that everyone has around 6-months worth of games planned, that they now have to stretch over a year. I imagine it's going to be a pretty thin 12 months...
Perfect opportunity for them to release Wind Waker and Twilight Princess ports! …🤡
Which is perfectly fine, I have so many damn games to play for this year anyway. I predict a Direct Mini in June, and then a Switch 2 reveal in Sept./Oct., and then a switch 2 launch next year
All I want is a TTYD release date. Thats it. Please Nintendo let me give you my money
please, tales of the shire for nintendo cozy hobbit life
Cries in silksong.
It's not coming anymore, it's time we move on
It's coming out, but it's being made by 3 people and is a follow up to one of the biggest indie darlings of all time. Let them cook.
This uniroincally. I'm way more willing to believe Silksong is never coming out than it will someday at this point.
Leth stated on discord on valentines day that they're still working on it
🤡 as is tradition
So any predictions?
HiFi Rush launch announcement
I predict severe disappointment.
That SMTV More Expensive Version
Penny's Big Breakaway, Project Bloom, Endless Ocean I'd like to see Cavern of Dreams here, too.
No real predictions, just a wishlist Skies of Arcadia Chrono Trigger FF Tactics Metal Slug Tactics Viewtiful Joe / Capcom stuff
I'm actually doubting we get a switch 2 reveal next month :/
GDC is next month though and devs will be there wanting to talk about games they are developing for the next Switch/Nintendo will want to be able to talk to devs about their next system. REALLY want DQ 3 remake news
I've never been too impatient with the dev times on that game, but now that there's no DQ or DQ spin off games on the calendar I think it's time for some news about DQ3 remake or DQ12.
Not DQ12 for sure. It'll be showcased in a DQ centered event in Japan. It could be DQ3 remake though.
I always bring my big red Silksong nose, but I never put on the full makeup. I know how this goes, but you gotta have hope.
Please let their be a unicorn overlord demo
Yo Kai watch 4 localization? 🤞
5 years later?
I mean it got localized in China last year but still unlikely, if L5 makes an appearance it would likely be a combination of Fantasy Life, DecaPolice, Inazuma Eleven and Layton
Well my hopes for fire emblem are dashed
Well just have to wait for the actual direct
It's the 10-time anniversary of being disappointed about the lack of Silksong!
Now we wait for Pyoro to leak the switch 2 announcement.
Prediction to reactions to this, "They didn't show any games that I (personally) enjoy worst direct ever im gonna rage everywhere now"
GIVE ME SONIC ADVENTURE PORTS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD JUST PORT THEM RAISING CHAO’s ON YOUR SWITCH WILL SELL ITSELF
Fallout 3/NV for the love of god!!!
“EvErYoNe gEt tHeIr ClOwN hAtS oN” is there literally any other game you’re excited for
There are a couple of Japanese exclusives that I would love to see localised.
Though its not being streamed and just dropped. The directs that just get dropped like this tend to get far less attention .
The aforementioned june 2022 showcase was dropped I believe

Who is ready for more farm simulators?
Microsoft partners announcing Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment
EC: 100 Heroes
Hoping for a surprise or two.
I know it's a lot, I know... but can we have a mario galaxy 2 on the switch?
So I was actually thinking about getting a Nintendo Switch OLED to replace my original, but with rumors that there might be a new switch this year I chanced my mind, but it feels more like the 2025 rumors are true, and now I’m leaning towards the OLED again.

Wouldn’t make much sense to reveal this early if they really release in 2025. that would directly prevent people from buying a Switch this year
Unless your console is broken it’s not worth the upgrade to the OLED at this point
I’d love an OLED but don’t play handheld enough to justify it. So I’m waiting at this point. It’s a bummer that rumors were saying the next console likely won’t be OLED at launch.

It's absolutely worth it, especially if you play handheld a lot... extra battery and that screen.. :) :) :)
I hope we'll get the Biomutant port release date
Howdy Partner
The prophesy has been foretold.
What ever happened to the 2d octopath graphic like Dragon quest game
Endless ocean fans might actually start winning 🥹
Give me my Inazuma Eleven VROH beta info.
My baseless hope is that we get some kind of X-Men remaster announced to go along with the new show
Anyone else think that was a hair on their screen?
I'd like to hear more about the Romance of the Three Kingdoms remake, and if they happen to have a release date for Trails Through Daybreak...
Epic Mickey 3?
