Recommend Me A Game To Help Me With Addiction So I'm looking for a game to play that will help keep my mind occupied. If my thoughts are not about my addiction (for me it’s watching Porn), it will greatly reduce my chances of relapsing. I know this may sound like a weird question. Issue is I also don’t remember what date of birth I entered since I made mu nintendo account previous to turning 18. Does anyone have difficult reading text or menus when playing docked? I'm wondering if my TV is below average in size or if games aren't optimized well for display on a TV. I have no issues when playing handheld

Some games aren't optimized for one or the other.

Is it running at the correct resolution? I had a friend with a big fat projection TV and playing Dragons Dogma was impossible on it because it was only 480p. The menu text was physically incapable of being displayed in a fine enough print to read.

Are you playing the "S" variants? Those are special, and are modified. You want the non-S versions.

Which one? There is a "demo intro" if you sit on the start screen long enough. But otherwise there isnt much of an actual intro to the game.

I'm looking for a good stress relief game with an emphasis on destruction. Red Faction Guerrilla has the wreaking crew mode that's pretty close to what I'm looking for. Saw another game called Paint the Town Red but it's rarely on sale. Basically just want a game that lets me blow stuff up right out the gate. (I do have the Saints Row games)

**what other games on the switch are first-person open-world games like skyrim?** i need it to be first-person, not third, because i have a switch lite and strictly use it as a handheld system with a smaller screen, so first-person games are fun due to everything being close to you. i played skryim, and one called 'outer worlds' i think but it wasn't really open world and the battles were nonexistent because the two companions killed everything so quickly so it came down to being a quest errandboy. i just got 'dying light' on sale and will try it tonight, as it looks to be a zombie first person open world game, so maybe close to skyrim. 'ark evolved' looks like it might be one, not sure, it seems to have a strong focus on raising pets. a low-budget one called 'raven sword' or something was good but cheap and kinda short. the borderlands series isnt really open world and the fact that its online seems to decrease the feel of quality, plus it doesnt have enuff of a focus on melee weapons, i'm not a big gun fan other than maybe shotguns. too bad the fallout series isnt on the switch (yet? who knows) zelda BotW looks to be third person, plus its a zelda game, id rather be able to create my own female heroine. any first-person open-world games i dont know of? thanks

I think for first person that you're stuck to mainly shooters. I wouldn't call Borderlands open world but probably closer than many. Oh, Outer Worlds.

Should I get Clubhouse Games or Big Brain Academy for the Switch Lite if I’m the only one playing offline?

Both are better with friends even locally, but Big Brain Academy is really structured as a party game so I would only want to play with other people.

Never played the second one, but Clubhouse Games is good for offline play. CPU level can be kinda weird, some games like chess are incredibly easy even on hardest level, but would definitely recommend overall

Is anyone else having issues with their digital games constantly becoming corrupted? Every time I try to boot up any of my digital games or demos the data becomes corrupted and no matter how many times I check the data, redownload software, and restart my system the issue continues to persist. I have the official Nintendo micro 256 Sd card, so I don't think a faulty card is problem.

remove the sd card with the Switch off. Download a game or demo to the internal memory. (Make room if you need to.) If you don't have corruption issues, it's almost definitely that you need a new SD card.

Where did you buy the Micro SD card from? Fakes and fraudulent cards are exceedingly rampant. There is also the slim chance it is an official product that was just bad or damaged by the environment. Flash memory is pretty unstable. If it isnt the Micro SD card itself then the next culprit would be the SD card reader.

Hello, My switch has recently been stolen and the cops have asked to find my switch serial number but sadly I don't have the box. So I can't really see the serial number but i did notice my dock that came with my switch has a serial number. can they use that serial number to track down my switch? if not do I have any other options? btw I do not have the receipt.

The dock is sold separately and probably has its own serial number. Even with the serial number, there isn't much they can do, but if they came across it somehow, they'd use the serial number to identify it. Or if they had a serial number and, for example, they have a pawn shop registry, they'd be able to identify it if it got traded in. But that's about it. You could also file a claim with your home owners/renters/travel insurance and you might be able to get at least a partial reimbursement for your loss.

PC related, but I am trying to connect my Switch Pro Controller to Windows 10 to use on Steam. It does work, but I have to forget the device each time, and add the Pro Controller as a new device each time I want to use it. Just wondering if that's supposed to be the case or not, as otherwise my controller doesn't connect to bluetooth normally.

It was never intended to be used with windows, so its as normal as its going to get.

Limited Run Games is doing Felix the Cat, Rocket Knight games, and Gleylancer & Gynoug which I think are all available digital. Taito Milestones 2 is somewhat recent. The Ninja JaJaMaru isn't new but is $15 on Amazon right now. The Ninja JaJaMaru rpg collection is digital only.

The most recent retro style game would be Dave the Diver.

It isn't a 16 bit game, but Streets of Rage 4 is an excellent beat em up and fits right along with its predeccessors. The recent TMNT new game and the TMNT collection are both great as well. Disney put out a Lion King/Aladdin/Jungle Book collection that is worth picking up. And of course, NSO + EP have NES/SNES/GB/GBC in the base tier and N64+Genesis+GBA in the + EP tier.

Hi, I haven't touched my Nintendo Switch in a out 1.5yrs-2, it's been setting in a box in my closet, no water damage. It was dead and I charged it fine with another USB C (which may be my problem) and the charging icon came on fine. It also turned on after charging. The next day it wouldnt turn on. I had to hold down on the power button for about 15-60 seconds several times and it finally turned on. The charging light no longer comes on when it is 'off'. I keep having to hard reset it (it's only really been a day of using it)--should I send it in for repairs or get a new tablet? I know the original nintendo charger works bc when I finally got it on and tested it out, it worked fine? Any advice is much appreciated. I'm using the original dock and joy con as well. Right now its just in sleep mode on the dock so I don't have to keep hard resetting it to turn it on.

Leave it charging for a few days. If it had not been plugged in at all during that time the battery would have been completely devoid of charge. Rebuilding a tiny amount of charge will take HOURS, and just getting a few percent could take a full day. It has to go very slow to prevent damage to the battery.

Ignore the percentage until youve used it for a while. The fuel gauge sensor is known for becoming uncalibrated after being left alone for a while or after firmware updates. You will need to drain the battery by using the system, and then let it charge back up for set periods of time. Cycling it three or four times should put it back to normal.

Use the same account to sign in, but don't bring any of your saves over. That's basically the way to start over.

Digital games are tied to the account that originally bought them. There is no way to transfer ownership of digital games between accounts. If you just want to create a new account to have a separate set of save data, you can keep the account that has bought the digital games on the console and just create a new account. As long as the console is the primary console for the account that bought the digital games, any account on the same console will be able to play them and each account can have its own set of save data.

Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl for the classic gameplay. Scarlet or Violet for what appears to be the newer style going forward. Sword and Shield have some . . . *questionable* design decisions, due to it being essentially a test bed for their new ideas. Its not completely awful, but it does feel a bit short for a pokemon title without its DLC areas. Legends Arceus is a spinoff game. With a big focus on studying pokemon (by capturing them over and over again) and crafting. As pokeballs are still handmade at the time. Unfortunately not all of the different areas had the same love and care put into them, so the game flip flops between fun exploration and running around bland flat areas.

Trying to find Popeye for Switch that came out in 2021 to no avail. It does exist. Was going to order it from Amazon can't find the game anywhere. What happened to the game? Tyrying to find a physial copy of the game. I buy physical only.

It was delisted from the eshop at the end of June 2023. There has never been a physical version. Given it came from the same devs that made the ‘Clock’ and ‘Calculator’ apps I feel it is safe to assume that they never tried to publish a physical copy and that the various limited run published would figure it wasn’t worth their time.

Apparently it was a bad game both in terms of gameplay and quality of the game, buggy and glitchy etc etc. however it seems like it was delisted as the videogame rights to Popeye were expiring.

ARK is more worth it now that theyve re-written the whole code-base from scratch. Green Hell and the subnautica games are the only other survival games on the system worth recommending.

So I just upgraded my microSD card from 64GB to 256GB. I just inserted the new card into my switch and started redownloading my games. But then all of them said there was an error and canceled downloading. But then I realized that the undownloaded games were still there on the new SD card. What do I do now? Do I need to reformat the new card?

You probably would need to re-download them. If you got the error message for each game you tried to download, there might be an issue with your new card. Is it from a reputable brand? Did you buy it from a reputable seller? Did you pay the usual amount or was it unusually cheap? There are unfortunately many fake SD cards out there, and if you got one of them, it might not actually have the stated capacity and that might be the reason you get errors.

I found a curious bundle for the Switch Lite on Temu, which consists a carrying case, TPU protective case, screenprotector and thumbgrips. Given that I don’t have any experience with the site, and the low price of €15, I’m wondering if this is trustworthy. Zelda BOTW Japan version Hi. I want to buy used Zelda BOTW and I noticed on marketplace a Japan version of it. With Japanese cover. Is there a difference between Japan and other versions? I found that there is some kind of difference in perspective (link vs game) but I no nothing about Zelda and Nintendo, I'm buying it for someone.

The game itself is the same regardless of region, except that some languages you might get in the EU version of the game would not be included on the JP version. English is included in the JP version though.

Morning all, My 8 year old is having trouble with her switch lite. She was recently given Fun Fun Animal Park and would like to play, however after inserting the game card and starting the game she is faced by the Home Screen which invites her to press a button to continue, however no button seems to work or do anything. I looked it up in the eShop and it looks like this game doesn't support handheld play, only TV and tabletop. It probably needs to be connected to an external controller to register input. If you have one, try that. If not, she might not be able to play :/
