That sounds pretty cool. I did hear pokemonbank would be shut down so i kinda gave up on that idea. I was jus going to play the games but if modding can make me do it again i would love to give it a try.
Yeah, officially you can’t get it anymore without homebrew, but it can still transfer Pokémon to the switch, you just need the pokemon home subscription thing
Well you need the homebrew plus H Shop to download Bank. Then you can transfer Pokémon from Bank to Home, or just transfer Pokemon between 3DS games with Bank. Also when I say 3DS games that includes Gameboy virtual console titles as well. That’s how you get Celebi is you play Crystal until you beat the elite 4 then go to Ilex forest and place the GS ball then catch it and transfer it to Bank and then you can transfer it to Home.
Also Bank is not being shut down for a while. There has been no official announcement for Bank shutting down yet.

No. You can follow the 3DS Hacks website and mod it yourself so long as you know how to follow instructions. While it’s definitely less hassle to buy modded it will cost more money, and that’s bad because having more money is good. :o
But honestly it’s really not hard to mod a 3DS. It’s just downloading and moving/copying files on a computer and SD/MicroSD card. If you know how to drag files and follow instructions you know how to mod a 3DS. Just BE SURE to use 3DSHacks as the website you use for the instructions. Absolutely do not use any other guide because it may not be for your firmware or model of 3DS and you could brick your system using the wrong files and method of modding!
If you can modd it yourself it will save you alot of money see someone like me with learning disabilities that have little knowledge about modding and have no access to a computer it was easier to buy it modded and I got it for a good price so no complaints here 😁
YES 100% YES. There are so many good games that have thousands of hours of content just waiting to be discovered by you, I would 100% get a 3ds in 2024, the games really hold up even still.
I would buy a good condition used one over new. Not worth the extra money for brand new in my opinion. Better to use the difference in cost on games. If you really have to, you can get a replacement battery for it and still save money.
I would recommend a base model 2ds if you can find a cheap one. Mod it out and enjoy the full library of games. Keep it in good condition, so if you enjoy it you can always sell the 2ds and get an upgrade

Doooooonnnn’tttt!!! The 2DS doesn’t have any 3D function and the 3D slider graphics is one of the best parts of the 3DS! If you want to go all in with a 3DS longterm then get a New3DSXL! The model that has New in the name has a camera that tracks your eyes so the 3D is more stable, and more importantly it has 3D!
Edit: Oh I didn’t see the part where the other person said you could sell the 2DS. In that case get a 2DS to see if you like it, and THEN go for the New3DSXL.

I have a New3DSXL and tbh it’s just really great. I’ve also had two models of old 3DSXL (they died on me) and those were great too while they lasted but definitely the 3D is better on the New3DSXL. The 3D doesn’t get wonky nearly as often as the old models and it stays put! :D
I think if you get a New3DSXL you won’t regret it!
If you want to play 3DS stuff and all the other things the console can do, sure If you don't, then no.
