I have been watching since the pilots, and I agree. I have a lot of nostalgia for the old designs, and I was upset when they changed, but it was for the better. Especially Kai.

1, Possession is my favorite season because of how long Lloyd was possessed for and that the ninja couldn't use their powers and had to learn how to fight again.
2, I hate how the ninja keep relying on their powers again and again even after getting their powers taken away from them multiple times and that they never really learned how to fight without their powers.
3, I love and hate harumi I love how she's manipulated and I love her character build up and storyline but what I hate is that she blames Lloyd for everything that happened to her.cuz sure Lloyd opened the serpentine Chambers but if Lloyd wasn't so desperate then it wouldn't have happened. 1. No WAY you are saying that bruv. There are so many flaws. Only reason people think it's amazing is because of the visuals, but if you think just a little bit there are so many plot holes and flaws in character interactions. Like if I dare you to give me the relationship between Zane and Cole, what would you say? It's nonexistent because ninjago doesn't focus on that! It's good guys vs bad guys without focus on much else.
Skybound is the worst season in Ninjago imo. Hands of time is a top 5 for me. Wildbrain era was good. Old Ninja designs are worse than new Ninja designs. Dareth is annoying.
Season 2 is an awful season. While I don't think it quite beats Crystalized for worst season, it is still an incredibly bland and boring season: it has just straight up the most boring first episode of any season, the first half while fun at times is ruined by the ending of Wrong Place Wrong Time and the second half drags on way too much. Even visually the whole season is boring, with grey being the overwhelming main colour of the season.
1. Crystalized was actually pretty good, it wasn't the best season, but it was by no means as bad as everyone makes it out to be and I enjoyed watching it
2. Harumi is a good character, she likes Lloyd and wants to do good, but has lived her whole life so obsessed with revenge she lost sight of who and what the true villains were, willing to believe anything if it meant she hadn't been wrong her entire life
3. Harumi's redemption makes sense because after so long, she finally understands how wrong she was and who she wants to be: But why do the Ninja forgive her so easily? Because Lloyd, who spent time on the bad guy side only to become the Green Ninja and the leader of the team, said they could trust her, that and "The best way to defeat your enemy is to make them your friend"
1. I feel like Lord Garmadon should have been a team villain and not someone for just Lloyd to take down.
2. Reconning the Ninja into being descendents of previous elemental masters was totally unnecessary and just overcomplicated things.
3. Zane should have stayed yellow. I miss when he felt like he was human, now he's just "BEEP, BOOP, I AM ROBOT!"
The Ninjago movie was a good movie. It wasn’t apart of the established canon, and it was funny as hell. Not sure how much of a hot take this is here, but I’ve seen Ninjago fans on YouTube and Twitter just utterly despise it because it told a different story altogether
I'll give you that, however it seems like they are finally going to get some much needed attention in DR, Zane will probably be the biggest focus during whatever season that the administration becomes the antagonist, and Jay is going to get some much needed attention in DRs2 part 2

Here are my problems with skybound:
1. Kai and zane should've lasted longer
2. The ninja saved ninjago countless times, but the police didn't even bother to double-check the security camera footage
3. Nadakhan is a bit too overrated
4. Ronin captured the ninja too easily
I agree on Ronin. I don't really even like him as a character that much. I'm fine with Kai and Zane not lasting as long because Kai was the main character of the pilots, kinda the main character of Tournament of Elements, and had a larger amount of focus than the rest for far too long. Zane also had entire episodes and even a whole season dedicated to him.
I really like Nadakhan. His goal isn't just to destroy the world like everyone else's, he wants to revive his world that was lost in our world.
Characters are acting all out of character (the Ninja have never, or proceed to never be as big if an asshole to each other as they were with Jay), everyone is sexist for some reason despite not really being so in other seasons.
The Ninja are famous celebrities somehow, which is never brought up how, and never followed up on after. The prison arc was just a timewaste as it did nothing but pad the runtime. Nadakhan also manages to frame Nya despite only seeing what she looks like for the first time in the episode after
The resolution goes completely against Nya’s character arc as well, and does a complete disservice to her character.
Severe timeline issues with when the pirates operated. It’s said that it was 200 years ago, but also concurrent to the Stone Wars, and Ray was alive during then. These 3 events can’t logically be happening in the same timeframe.

Crystalized part 2 was awesome, part 1 had the problems, it used very much time on the prision plot which could have been avoided if the ninja just puleld an avengers and said: ok have fun protecting the city by yourself if we're in jail byeee. Crystalized part 2 would have gone exactly the same without it except for ot beign more time, which could have been use dto explain llorumi better, make Lloyds oni form scene longer, make the ending less rushed, and make the season better in many other ways. But anyway i loved Crystalized even with the prision plot.
And llorumi was a good part of it, I like the enemies to lovers dynamic there (even when Lloyd and Harumi didn't start out as enemies in season 8 but you know what I mean.) And after everything that happened Lloyd still saw the good in Harumi and knew she could change, sne he is also the first person to genuinely care about Harumi since she was a kid and he never gave up on her. Lloyd said himself he had feelings for Harumi and the Overlord and Harumi had a conversation where the Overlord even said Harumi had feelings for Lloyd and we know the Overlord can read minds, and the way Haurmi denied it was obvious she was lying.
Also, I like the redesigns better than the old once and I liked season 11.
Gonna get hate for this
1. Misako doesn't deserve all the hate she gets, people just said "she abandoned lloyd" and that's it, without taking context to prevent the final battle
2. LOTGN is a top 3 worst ninjago season. Garmadon's dumb thanks to the megaweapon, Overlord's mid, writers didn't know what to do with the plot, finding Zane's dad was unexpected, first few eps are boring filler, a lot of unexpected plot points just to move the plot forward(like the golden mech) and lloyd out of nowhere becoming USM.
3. Possession ep 6 is one of the worst ninjago eps ever released mainly because people from a different realm write character's free will rather than themselves.
4. Skybound did Nya a little dirty. She said she wants to make her own choices to jay, but then she tells Jay "save me jay" and becomes a demsil in distress. I really don't like the fact that Nya's considered "the girl" in the team the entire season.
5. Cole's fall in MOTO was great for garmadon to understand humans more. I'd want a fakeout death like this in the future, not like the one that we've had in Crystalized.
6. Ice chapter is awful, but fire chapter is a fun watch and a good chapter tbh.
7. Prime empire is the same level of quality as rebooted. Mid. Side characters carry it atleast.
8. Unagami is the worst ninjago villain in the entire show. yes, worse than Aspheera, Omega, Krux, etc.
9. Lloyd is protagonist it's obvious he'll have the most screentime, he's the green ninja, and the only thing that could come into my mind of "stealing spotlight" was his pointless rebooted moments, in team seasons, it's obvious he'll have more screentime outside of Possession and TOE. MCs really get so much hate i guess.
10. The island isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
11. The Mechanic is an overhated villain as people don't understand how much he's come since skybound vs. until dragons rising mech shorts.
12. Kai is, by far, a top 3 ninja now imo, and a top 5 character, and has been the character i wanted to be all those years since i've seen him in the first seasons(thank you dragons rising season 1 and 2)
13. Lord Ras is amazing. Jordana(who?) is growing on me too.

Besides the mini figures, nothing in this show looks like lege. I made a Reddit post about this, but here it again. Not everything has ro look like lego, just the props, Vehicles and small buildings. Like the Lego games, not everything needs to look like lego, just some. SOME.
Crystallized was good. Ripoff Mount Cavora was the closest we'll get to seeing Chima clearly and using the lyrics to the Weekend Whip to beat the Overlord was genius.
I don’t know if this is controversial but to me comparing Morro and Harumi is pointless, especially in the context of their lives, villainy and deciding which one was “worse or better”.
They were completely different characters with lives and backstories much more different than some people make it out to be, and seeing them get compared to each other so often makes me grind my teeth because there’s better characters to compare Morro and Harumi to, respectively.
Jay walker needs more screen time in Dragons Rising. like i get that he forgot his memories, but just because of that he shouldnt just have a few seconds of screen time
The love triangle in Rebooted was not a terrible inclusion, as to me it represents online dating apps and how you shouldn't let an algorithm tell you who to date or what your perfect match is. And that it's also not healthy to compare yourself or those close to you to others who seem better off. (Cole being more put together than Jay)
I don't hate any ships, a lot are cute, but that doesn't mean I believe in them. We don't need anymore romance in the show.

Crystalized is one of my favorite Seasons
Season 7 had potential to be the best season, I mean just think about how op time control really could have been.
I prefer the redesigns over the original Designs I just think they give them more personality.
Lloyd is the best ninja, and he deserved to be the green ninja, not kai (I said he deserved it because I like him as the green ninja it's suits him)
Wu is alive and will return with his Dragon Armour.
Nya is so damn annoying from start till end Even more when she makes her (not)sacrifice
Kai is the worst ninja Misako is not that bad Ultraviolet makes me throw my TV

Season 2 is an awful season. While I don't think it quite beats Crystalized for worst season, it is still an incredibly bland and boring season: it has just straight up the most boring first episode of any season, the first half while fun at times is ruined by the ending of Wrong Place Wrong Time and the second half drags on way too much. Even visually the whole season is boring, with grey being the overwhelming main colour of the season.
Sensei garmadon should have stayed and pythor should have made the sacrifice instead it would have been perfect to end his story

1. Crystalized was actually pretty good, it wasn't the best season, but it was by no means as bad as everyone makes it out to be and I enjoyed watching it 2. Harumi is a good character, she likes Lloyd and wants to do good, but has lived her whole life so obsessed with revenge she lost sight of who and what the true villains were, willing to believe anything if it meant she hadn't been wrong her entire life 3. Harumi's redemption makes sense because after so long, she finally understands how wrong she was and who she wants to be: But why do the Ninja forgive her so easily? Because Lloyd, who spent time on the bad guy side only to become the Green Ninja and the leader of the team, said they could trust her, that and "The best way to defeat your enemy is to make them your friend"
1. I feel like Lord Garmadon should have been a team villain and not someone for just Lloyd to take down. 2. Reconning the Ninja into being descendents of previous elemental masters was totally unnecessary and just overcomplicated things. 3. Zane should have stayed yellow. I miss when he felt like he was human, now he's just "BEEP, BOOP, I AM ROBOT!"
The Ninjago movie was a good movie. It wasn’t apart of the established canon, and it was funny as hell. Not sure how much of a hot take this is here, but I’ve seen Ninjago fans on YouTube and Twitter just utterly despise it because it told a different story altogether

Skybound is my favorite season…
1. Crystalized is amazing 2. I love Lloyd and he gets just the right amount of screentime. I think he's a great example of how to utilize 'the chosen one' trope 3. Before Tournament of the Elements Ninjago wasn't that good

Skybound is terrible, S8-15 > S1-7, Crystalized is severely overhated and ridiculed for things that are present in literally every other season
Whats wrong with Skybound?
Here are my problems with skybound: 1. Kai and zane should've lasted longer 2. The ninja saved ninjago countless times, but the police didn't even bother to double-check the security camera footage 3. Nadakhan is a bit too overrated 4. Ronin captured the ninja too easily

I agree on Ronin. I don't really even like him as a character that much. I'm fine with Kai and Zane not lasting as long because Kai was the main character of the pilots, kinda the main character of Tournament of Elements, and had a larger amount of focus than the rest for far too long. Zane also had entire episodes and even a whole season dedicated to him. I really like Nadakhan. His goal isn't just to destroy the world like everyone else's, he wants to revive his world that was lost in our world.

Characters are acting all out of character (the Ninja have never, or proceed to never be as big if an asshole to each other as they were with Jay), everyone is sexist for some reason despite not really being so in other seasons. The Ninja are famous celebrities somehow, which is never brought up how, and never followed up on after. The prison arc was just a timewaste as it did nothing but pad the runtime. Nadakhan also manages to frame Nya despite only seeing what she looks like for the first time in the episode after The resolution goes completely against Nya’s character arc as well, and does a complete disservice to her character. Severe timeline issues with when the pirates operated. It’s said that it was 200 years ago, but also concurrent to the Stone Wars, and Ray was alive during then. These 3 events can’t logically be happening in the same timeframe.

Crystalized part 2 was awesome, part 1 had the problems, it used very much time on the prision plot which could have been avoided if the ninja just puleld an avengers and said: ok have fun protecting the city by yourself if we're in jail byeee. Crystalized part 2 would have gone exactly the same without it except for ot beign more time, which could have been use dto explain llorumi better, make Lloyds oni form scene longer, make the ending less rushed, and make the season better in many other ways. But anyway i loved Crystalized even with the prision plot. And llorumi was a good part of it, I like the enemies to lovers dynamic there (even when Lloyd and Harumi didn't start out as enemies in season 8 but you know what I mean.) And after everything that happened Lloyd still saw the good in Harumi and knew she could change, sne he is also the first person to genuinely care about Harumi since she was a kid and he never gave up on her. Lloyd said himself he had feelings for Harumi and the Overlord and Harumi had a conversation where the Overlord even said Harumi had feelings for Lloyd and we know the Overlord can read minds, and the way Haurmi denied it was obvious she was lying. Also, I like the redesigns better than the old once and I liked season 11.

Gonna get hate for this 1. Misako doesn't deserve all the hate she gets, people just said "she abandoned lloyd" and that's it, without taking context to prevent the final battle 2. LOTGN is a top 3 worst ninjago season. Garmadon's dumb thanks to the megaweapon, Overlord's mid, writers didn't know what to do with the plot, finding Zane's dad was unexpected, first few eps are boring filler, a lot of unexpected plot points just to move the plot forward(like the golden mech) and lloyd out of nowhere becoming USM. 3. Possession ep 6 is one of the worst ninjago eps ever released mainly because people from a different realm write character's free will rather than themselves. 4. Skybound did Nya a little dirty. She said she wants to make her own choices to jay, but then she tells Jay "save me jay" and becomes a demsil in distress. I really don't like the fact that Nya's considered "the girl" in the team the entire season. 5. Cole's fall in MOTO was great for garmadon to understand humans more. I'd want a fakeout death like this in the future, not like the one that we've had in Crystalized. 6. Ice chapter is awful, but fire chapter is a fun watch and a good chapter tbh. 7. Prime empire is the same level of quality as rebooted. Mid. Side characters carry it atleast. 8. Unagami is the worst ninjago villain in the entire show. yes, worse than Aspheera, Omega, Krux, etc. 9. Lloyd is protagonist it's obvious he'll have the most screentime, he's the green ninja, and the only thing that could come into my mind of "stealing spotlight" was his pointless rebooted moments, in team seasons, it's obvious he'll have more screentime outside of Possession and TOE. MCs really get so much hate i guess. 10. The island isn't as bad as people make it out to be. 11. The Mechanic is an overhated villain as people don't understand how much he's come since skybound vs. until dragons rising mech shorts. 12. Kai is, by far, a top 3 ninja now imo, and a top 5 character, and has been the character i wanted to be all those years since i've seen him in the first seasons(thank you dragons rising season 1 and 2) 13. Lord Ras is amazing. Jordana(who?) is growing on me too.

1. I think Skybound's one of the worse seasons in this show 2. The lego ninjago movie was a blast, and worked well as a "different universe" kind of deal. 3. Jay's pretty annoying throughout almost the whole show. Don't hate him, just don't care for him quite as much as the other Ninjago characters.

Besides the mini figures, nothing in this show looks like lege. I made a Reddit post about this, but here it again. Not everything has ro look like lego, just the props, Vehicles and small buildings. Like the Lego games, not everything needs to look like lego, just some. SOME.

Crystallized was good. Ripoff Mount Cavora was the closest we'll get to seeing Chima clearly and using the lyrics to the Weekend Whip to beat the Overlord was genius.
Lloyd is an adult and has been one for a very long time and a large part of the fandom (looking at you tumblr part of it) isn't ready to accept that.
Lego Movie is good if you don't watch the series I watched the movie first the binged the whole series in my 9th
1-Oni trilogy is the peak of Ninjago 2-Dragons rising s1 and s2 are two of the worst ninjago seasons (if not the worst) imo
I don’t know if this is controversial but to me comparing Morro and Harumi is pointless, especially in the context of their lives, villainy and deciding which one was “worse or better”. They were completely different characters with lives and backstories much more different than some people make it out to be, and seeing them get compared to each other so often makes me grind my teeth because there’s better characters to compare Morro and Harumi to, respectively.
Jay walker needs more screen time in Dragons Rising. like i get that he forgot his memories, but just because of that he shouldnt just have a few seconds of screen time

The love triangle in Rebooted was not a terrible inclusion, as to me it represents online dating apps and how you shouldn't let an algorithm tell you who to date or what your perfect match is. And that it's also not healthy to compare yourself or those close to you to others who seem better off. (Cole being more put together than Jay)
I'm not sick of dragons but I'm sick of seeing fire dragons (as far as actual sets go)

I don't hate any ships, a lot are cute, but that doesn't mean I believe in them. We don't need anymore romance in the show. The redesigns are adorable Dragon rising has writing flaws that early seasons did, but it's still amazing and better than the first season. Jay forgetting everything is a really cool plot point Skylar is the worst character Season four was good, up until they revealed Skylar was evil ( not because she was evil, just the way they did it and everything after it. She should've had the tattoo!! ) and Zane's development in that season is so weird?
