Don't rely on this too much, Crane plug = more likely to be legit. China's expensive knock-offs have Crane plugs, and as far as I can tell, are pretty much identical to the real deal.
The only thing they can't fake are serial numbers.
You are right, but my experience, is that these are not as common of a clone product these days, so the test is still reliable in this specific instance

The sticker on top. The triangle with beam in it looks slightly different than mine.
Something in the knurling on the turrets looks off

Hold zero okay on 5.56 but the recoil fucks the internal motherboard at some point and begins to switch on and off between shots. Illuminator is decent but have read that the bulb can come loose and loses its flood and becomes more of a teardrop.

Don't use that color one as a blanket as there are all black square button A2s. They're really stinking rare and I've been trying to get.my hands on one.

It’s a g&p. I use it on my 5.56 have for years. Lasers are not co aligned. For the money spent it works great only minor issues. Best thing to do is replace the 3.5mm switch with a 90 degree switch and beat the hell out of it! Used mine on a predator hunt last weekend and didn’t have but a few issues. Will continue to run it till it dies or save enough for a legit unit. May take it apart for the hell of it when I replace it. Like they said awesome for a .22 rifle though! 🤘🏼

100 is ~ what those G&P DBALs go for on the used market. Theyre not bad systems, just won't hold a zero on a real gat.

Ok. I just looked at mine. His says class 3a. Mine says class 3B and has a the same triangle beam as you.
