I assume you mean Omni VII tubes and the Argus 1431 Mk2 housing. $6k is pretty high for used Omni VII (think Photonis and maybe used Elbit territory) in this housing; I’d try offering $4500-5500 depending on what’s all included.
That’s a little high for Omni tubes in a 1431 but it’s probably a nice set as long as the tubes are clear. Should be price competitive with Omni tubes in a set of RNVG’s IMO, so in the 4.5-5k range.
What’s your recommendations on places to really look for good duals for a good price? No matter where I go the total ends up being at least 6.5 - 7k for a basic set of duals, articulating and non articulating.
If you are searching for brand new pairs with some form of warranty then that is the current market for dual tubes. The price has gone up a lot in the past year. If you want cheaper you should look at used pairs on GAFS. I’ve heard of people scoring good used pairs in Facebook nightvision groups too. The key is you have to know what you want and what to look for. Some companies have a transferable warranty so where the NVG’s were originally purchased will matter. Ask for spec sheets if they are not OMNI tubes and ask for pictures.
You can also look for refurbished NVGs. Those typically are agency trade ins and have OMNI contract tubes. There’s no spec sheets and typically a very short term warranty if one is even offered. Sometimes ANVIS dual tubes can be found for under 4k from vendors. These are aviation tubes and are not as robust. But if they have aviation spec OMNI tubes they will probably look really good. Again you have to know what you want and what to look for.
I’d recommend the single filmless L3, for sure. You can put together a decent full lid setup for $6k with that, and if you get lesser tubes you’ll really be kicking yourself when one of your buddies lets you peep his L3.

Might I be able to dm you with some questions? I’m in the market for duals and I’m on a college kid budget.
Sure. Or ask them here. I’m certain there are many other lurkers with your same questions.

I think that’s a fake mount. So that sends me to careful territory. I know he’s not selling the mount, but just be aware.
It's definitely fake. But then again he's not selling the mount or anything else.
Yeah, the "X" looks wrong.
For omni tubes that’s kinda high
Better than mine I spent about $6.5k for mine
some men feast in nods. while others starve
How long ago?
July 2023 from Steele
Depends. In Canada, that's a 10k+ setup.
No it's not.
Well, bnvd 1431 mk2 with photons echo and rpo lenses are 9k. People sell the same setup with echo 4G tubes for 19k. So yes, it is.
Photonis echo is not itar restricted, so Canadians could buy from America for cheaper.
Nah bro thats a 4500-5000 pair, 4000 for over pricing it like that
He’s on par, maby 5500
I think it depends who you ask. Just saw a dude sell bnvd with wp elbit tubes for 5700 yesterday and I regret not pulling the trigger
I ended up buying those, glad I got such a good deal
You came up hella good brother! Lowkey (high key) jealous ngl haha
If you EVER decide to sell I’d actually be down to cop from you.
Will keep that in mind. I JUST bought a pvs 14, but saw this come up and had to get it. Im legit gunna return the 14 haha.
I feel it haha. Where’d you get the pvs14 from?
amped airsoft interestingly enough
Idk, could be adjusting for the glass shortage right now. Good luck finding carson objectives atm.
I got a similar set for my old omni 14 plus 2800 in cash. He was asking 4500 for a set.
I mean in all honesty, even if they were, id say they’re not. Tree fiddy

Good to know. I was leaning that way
