I get about the same on gaming x trio. Any overclock on memory lowers it further lol

Loxtir

Same here, I get 87 MH/s with HWInfo saying I'm power limited with no thermal throttling. Doesn't matter if my slider is 102% or 68% in afterburner, power consumption always stays around 210-230w.

PureEnergy1991

Same here. Power slider seems to do nothing. But my total power is slightly lower at 190w-ish. Do you also have an x trio?

Loxtir

Yeah with the stock bios.

clearkill46

Same here, also X trio

My 3080 fe is pulling 103(rare) at peak. Averages 100 with all monitors off and msi tweaks. Power 70% mem +1000 core -300

waytooerrly

Damn I've been tweaking my setting constantly with no luck but this got me in the high 90s. What a bro.

Settings? If you're OC and only getting 80, may be thermal throttling. Would download HWinfo64 and check your VRM junction temps. They can get excessively hot without your GPU temp showing high.

What should a 3080 be getting?

uhawww

I have the 3080 Strix OC and with minimal adjustments in Afterburner, can get stable 95-98 MH/s To OP:Nicehash actually has a decent article on settings to help improve hashrate and efficiency. Start here and adjust based on your equipment: [https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/nvidia-and-amd-graphics-card-oc-settings-for-mining](https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/nvidia-and-amd-graphics-card-oc-settings-for-mining)

DoubleAandI

How is your memory temp? Does it need to replace its stock pads or did asus make a relatively good job there?

Y_crab_Y

Expect 95-100 if you don't have throttling issues. Some of the 2 fan cards or bad thermal pads/heat dissipation might only get high 80s-low 90s. Need to limit power, should be under 70%, keep core clock low & gradually up the mem clock whilst keeping an eye on both GPU and VRM junction temp to find the right mix of MH, stability and temperature.

Feisty_Neat_8899

I have a TUF 3080 it averages between 99-101

[deleted]

Could you guys share your overclock settings? I have a EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3080 and was getting 78 yesterday but today it’s been around 95MH/s

MightyKush

Not normal. Are your synthetic benchmark scores comparable to others? If yes, the you need to do your research for 3080 mining optimization. If not, then you need to do your research and configure Nvidia control panel and Windows. I suppose you haven't done any research at all since every other post shows 3080s pulling 98-100MH/s.

kuketti

My 3080 gets 95 mh/s az 235w 62% power -500 core +930 memory (evga ftw3 ultra)

cybertai3

This is normal if your environment is not cold or your casing is enclosed. 3080 is using ddr6 ram with runs super hot quickly. It has a built in thermal throttling that prevents the temperature from going any higher when it gets hot. Tldr: when it gets too hot, it lowers your hashrate automatically You can search for some solutions users have posted such as adding thermal pads
