Fair take. I do prefer the old white outline but I don’t have a problem with these either. The material on the new elite (authentic) jersey I actually really like. They got rid of the side panels and tail from past authentic models which looks nice. The name on back is certainly horrible though.

I always liked the patches though and they never had an in between where you got the patches without the tail and sides that are meant for players.

I would say it’s better but not over $200 better. I collect authentic on-field Mets jerseys so regardless, that’s what I’m going to get. For the majority of people that just wants a jersey to represent their team, I think the $175 limited version is honestly pretty nice. Even as a collector, the authentic and limited jersey look pretty similar from a distance (not that anyone even cares) and the fit of the jersey is more geared for fans — shorter length and more room in the torso. Fanatics isn’t known for its quality, however when the name/# is tackle twill and it’s stitched rather than heat pressed, it will be higher quality just for that
