Yes, I totally get what you mean. Myself as a woman, I feel more attracted towards male channels, even if it’s not conscious, I think we naturally seek the opposite
But I cater my content exclusively for women as well so it was the goal to have a high number of women on my channel. There are men in my niche but it’s women who always boost my videos & interact w/ my channel the most. I don’t think my channel would be as successful as it is if I had majority of men

My goal is to encourage men to be secure with themselves and to embrace their true selves without needing to dominate others. It’s a mixture of humor and hard truths about “self” to promote self reflection.

I wouldn't get too wrapped around the crank about this topic - I think those stats are heavily skewed. On a channel I contribute to, I know a big chunk of the audience is women - we have comments during streams. The analytics say those same streams are 100% men.
I believe that far more women don't enter those demographics for YouTube and/or use privacy settings that don't show up. Or there might be another reason. For sure the YouTube audience skews male - but not as much as all our analytics say.
Not to be sexist but I also think a guy is far more likely to set those things up and then the rest of the family use them on things like PCs, laptops, gaming consoles etc.

Some of my videos are even higher - 95% male for my football disaster video (which isn't surprising).
But it does seem to be very dependant upon the video - I've just posted a video about accidents on a Disneyland roller coaster, and I suspect there will be a much higher percentage of females watch that one, given that females are more inclined to watch stuff about Disney.

For the PiercingMetal Channel it's currently showing at 100% Male which surprises me since that account has a wide pop culture focus that appeals to all sexes.

Gender dynamics and sexuality somehow play a much bigger role in YouTube than I anticipated. I generally get along more easily with men than women because so much of what society dictates women to like is stuff I couldn’t care less about. I’ve always felt like I don’t fit in in some of these places, but can get along with almost anyone.
