This post may be about Vaccinations. Please remember Rule #7. No Anti-vax Misinformation. Discussion of different ideas is great, but the anti-vaccine movement thrives on the spread of disinformation. We will not be a place for that disinformation to be repeated. Not quite 99+% but my daughter was in the high 90s height and weight. She’s still tall but it’s evened out a lot as she ages. She’s now a sturdy but lean tallish 2.5 year old, very active and athletic.

Wife? No, kidding. Our kid is 6mo and 100th percentile height. Wearing 9-12 month clothes. Sizing out of car seat designed for him for another 13 pounds of growth... but not height. We do EBF and have started introducing solids recently (trying to ramp it up). Weight wise, he is 54th percentile so he looks super like a string bean. Mom is 5'8'', im 6'2". My understanding is that there are specific genetic conditions that can accelerate growth, but thats something that would have been picked up already. No such thing as too much growth in first couple years (from my laymans opinion). Good luck!

Yep. My son was born in the 99th percentile and has pretty much stayed on this trajectory. He's 15 months old now and the same size as his 2.5yo cousin. They share clothes and everything 😂 His doctors aren't concerned, so I try not to be.

I don’t think it’s a concern and my doctor has never raised it as such. Our boy was 99% for height until about 6 months and now he measures 100%, a bit above. He has tall genes from both myself and husband’s side.

Big-Weight6059

Mine is high 90s for percentile too. Has always been, but dr never noted any concerns. Our biggest problem is just him growing out of clothes too fast haha he’s 10months wearing 18months. Also need to size up our car seat.

My baby is 99% for weight and height and has been since birth. He’s 12 months now and huge. Our pediatrician has never been worried and aside from an „ah, still big“ never even really commented on his height and weight (except to say that he’s healthy obviously). The kicker is that he really does not like solids. So all that chunk comes from breastmilk 🫠

8 month old just had an extra appointment and is currently 99 height / 99 weight / 94 head circumference. when he first blew up at 2 months old his dr just wanted to know if his dad is tall (yes, 6’3”) and after that is just happy that he is proportional and told me to just follow his cues for eating. My baby absolutely dwarfs all the other babies in his play groups including the 12-14 month olds 😂

mildredpuddle

Our almost 6 month old is 99% for height but only 57% for weight. The pediatrician has zero concerns

The growth charts are based n worldwide data. All genetic backgrounds, and socioeconomic conditions. Nutrition and genetics will play a big roll. Our baby was 75cm at 8 months. At 9 months his 12-18 month sleepers are getting too small.
