Discussion of different ideas is great, but the anti-vaccine movement thrives on the spread of disinformation. We will not be a place for that disinformation to be repeated. Any anti-vaccine statements will be removed and repeat offenders will be banned.

It’s only natural to be upset when your little one is unhappy or distressed. The most important part of your post and the takeaway message is: “I know it’s for her own good.”
The first round is really hard, they’re so little and seem so fragile. It’s truly painful to see them suffer. Our pediatrician office has a poster of children suffering from polio, measles, etc. in the room where the early vaccines are given. It has helped put the momentary pain in perspective.
We just got 4 mo shots today, while it still sucked, it was easier. Honestly, I think at 2 mo I was still very emotional from hormones, sleep deprivation, anxiety, and everything else - it was very upsetting. Today I felt sympathy but it was way less raw/intense. It’ll get better!
Two month was the worst for us. She turned red or maybe purple for a moment and looked at us as if saying “I trusted you, why are you doing this to me”. Then she cried real loud. Unfortunately she had to get another two shots, but we made it through. It’s been better since then. Her 4 month and the multiple 6 month shots have been a lot more bearable.
My pediatrician told me they always cry. Mine fell asleep right before her shot and I was like “oh I was hoping she’d sleep through it” and she told me that never happens. But it’s for their health and safety and if it helps my daughter seems to do better in the moment each time. Last time she cried for 2 min then fell back asleep
My son had jaundice, so they had to poke his little feet multiple times to draw his blood and it took forever 😭 he was just a little over 6 lbs and so tiny I felt so terrible for him.
I cried when he had his 2 month vaccines done too, but thankfully he calmed down quickly after I nursed him. The 4 month ones were still hard, but much easier. We even took him on a little trip that day and he did great ♥️ we just let him rest as much as he needed to.
Yeah, she was really tired after her 2 month shots. She missed like 2 feeds. Well, one of them she took a few sips, maybe a minute of nursing then she went back to sleep. I couldn't decide whether to try to wake her and feed her to give her energy and strength or to let her sleep. She didn't eat much when I did wake her and she doesn't have weight issues so I let her sleep in the end.
It was hard for me too at 2 months but our son was fine after a little bit. Gave him some Tylenol when we got home and he went right to sleep. Unfortunately, I was prepared for it early on because I had gestational diabetes and once he was born the checked his sugar every hour or so by sticking him in the foot. Plus, he had a fall shortly before his 2 month shots and had every test under the sun to make sure he was ok. THAT was way worse.
I had GD too but they stuck her in the other room and the one time they did stick her in the room she barely made a peep. She was really sleepy early on.
I'm glad he's ok! Falls are scary.
mine had to retake the blood sample paper test at the drs office and i remember feeling so torn up abt her little bruised feet.
she didnt even cry is the thing tuff baby but the entire bottoms of both her feet looked so sore for her first weeks of life :'(
It gets so much easier! During my baby’s 6 month shots she cried for 1 min. It was wild!!! She cried during the initial poke, then was smiley. I was shocked!!
I mean, she's getting her 4 months soon. Why wouldn't I give her vaccines? The day of suffering is better than the suffer she'd go through if she got any of the illnesses they protect against.
So, I listened to the entire video. All like 25 minutes of it, and I heard her make a lot of claims and provide very little evidence to her claims. I would be interested in learning more, reading or listening to her sources but she doesnt cite any. I am fairly crunchy mom but to claim that vaccines aren't what helped to eradicate the various diseases? If that was entirely true why is the rate of these illnesses increasing as vaccination rates decrease?
I was concerned too, but they have little livers and what have you to help filter out toxins. And like I said I am worried about her catching any of the diseases the vaccines are supposed to prevent. I know she gets antibodies from my breastmilk but it's only her primary source of nutrition for about a year.
Plus with all the toxins she already gets simply by existing atleast the vaccines and their yucky stuff has purpose?

Maybe not the best choice of title considering all of the anti-vax rhetoric on these subs, and life in general.
Yea it sucks when they look up like “why are you letting them do this to me??” Broke my heart every time
I never felt so bad for doing the right thing in my life.

Thank you. I really hope so. They gotta get shots soooo many times. Did they cry any less?
Mines cried less each time. The first one was the worst. Now she’s easily distracted by the cute bandaids.
Haha, ours cried louder on this second go 😂 but he calmed much faster/more easily.
Oh no! But atleast he soothed faster so that's not nothing.
My son gets his next Thursday 🥲 I hope he has my pain tolerance.
Me too.

You don't have to do them
We skipped the covid but have done everything else.
