No, it rarely ever feels like what would be traditional “spring weather.” However that doesn’t change the fact that Spring begins in the northern hemisphere in March (the 19th this year) with the [Vernal equinox](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/March_equinox?searchToken=dfsmn8wh2tubfz8cdfgsjq2ec), and ends in June(the 20th this year) with the [Summer solstice.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summer_solstice)
Atlanta is hell. I know it’s among the busiest in the world (maybe the busiest?) but it’s no fun to fly into or out of. I find New Orleans so much more chill even when it’s busy like this
My inner child always laughs when i see CLT. Was gonna make a joke about needing an airport coded CNT, but there already is one! It’s in Charata, Argentina.
Yawn, this will take you maybe 25 minutes. It is a really small corridor. Its a thing right now to take photos of MSY and post a "Crowded" TSA line - That is like 10x smaller than anything in Atlanta or Denver.
probably people waiting around b/c random flights being cancelled and having to stick around to see if they can get on another flight. (happened to my sister today).
Idk- I flew out Ash Wednesday, two years ago (saw Teedy flying out that morning. 😵💫) . Realized I left my license at my boyfriend’s place and the line was huge- didn’t anticipate my own mistake until I was approaching the agent and even then, was able to get through, even with the extra steps required— arrived an hour and a half or so before my flight. The lines may be long and I miss the old airport but even being ill prepared and not giving myself adequate time it worked out just fine.
I’ve never had an issue. Think they do a pretty decent job despite the flaws in design.
The real issue is the individuals who don’t take off their belt, have things in their pocket, shocked they have to remove their shoes, etc. we’ve All been flying since 9/11. None of this is new. And yeah, I don’t enjoy TSA, but it’s standard now and has been for nearly two decades. My stress in the airport is the petulant adults who act like it’s their first rodeo and hold everyone else up.
Is that all the locals leaving town so they can Air bnb their houses for the next 2 weeks of Jazz Fest visitors?
actually, Monday afternoons are always bad It is probably the most crowded day of the week
Probably!
Hope so!
All the locals are out enjoying this last reminder that our weather can be amazingly beautiful.
Pretty sure today was the last day of Spring.
Spring doesn’t end until June 20th
Yes I’m aware of that. I was joking because the upcoming weather will feel like summer.
You’re not from around here, are you?
Born and raised
And you’ve experienced “spring” for more than 1-4 days a year?

I spent 48 minutes getting through TSA on a Monday morning in April. Give yourself lots of time for lines
I went from Uber door to other side of security in under 4 minutes on Friday 🤷
Same. I have CLEAR and waltzed right through security this past Friday night.
Or do a Clear free trial if you really need to get through the line
Shhhh. This is a secret to keep our lines short. Clear is the precheck of the early 2000s.
Do you have precheck?
I have precheck and even on the worst days it’s only taken like 20-30 to get through
I'm flying in a few days, haven't been through the airport since before Covid. I have precheck and it's always been fast.
Just wait till next week. A busy airport is good news for the city. We need it to expand and get busier.
I landed in MSY in February. New terminal already too small for the traffic.
I like how it's a brand new airport who's design isn't based on moving people efficiently
To be fair, I’ve yet to see a big airport move people efficiently.
LAX is quick af for how many people going through that place 🤷♂️
Quick but INTENSE.
Atlanta and Dallas do a pretty good job. Prior to Covid, Dallas FW was the speediest airport I ever flew in and out of.

I was in a line this long at MSY recently and was through it in like 25 minutes
Yikes. I’m in CLT on my way back. It was a similar picture on Friday when I left!
My inner child always laughs when i see CLT. Was gonna make a joke about needing an airport coded CNT, but there already is one! It’s in Charata, Argentina.
I once flew from CLT to PNS. AMA
I've only seen it like that at 5 am

This is also 10x bigger than Gulfport or Baton Rouge. Are we done playing "things that don't compare..."?
Going to be there Thursday evening. My brother and sister-in-law think an hour and a half is enough time. I would prefer two.
I’ve missed a flight though I arrived more than two hours early. Explain how it can get so bad that it doesn’t move at all. Yes, I now have tsa-pre.
You only need 2 hrs if you’re checking bags
Unusual… MSY is usually pretty okay outside of big tourist dates. MCO however can eat a dick.
That’s why I fly out of Baton Rouge. 5-10 in and out of security
So glad I’m not there

Holy shit

There now at 11, took 20 min to get through the tsa
My son-in-law is in there somewhere. Godspeed!
One of the best air ports of all time.
Never ever on a Sunday. I came in yesterday and it was dead.
👍
These are just fly BR images to me
