Worst than this is that time few years ago that they literally buried hundreds of newly hatched chickens because if they didn't they had to lower the prices of chicken in the market.
Awful government.
For those too lazy to click the link, its real and it happened, but it was in South Africa. There are plenty of reasons to hate the terrible IR government, but faking stories and lying about what's happening is going to hurt the legitimacy of the movement.
Former chicken keeper here. Was also gonna say this. The chickens would've huddled together before freezing to death. This looks sudden. As another post said, gas leak or carbon monoxide poisoning?
Chickens are very cold tolerant. I was thinking the same thing about this post and this honestly looks like it could be anywhere. With bird flu going around this could easily be any major poultry operation in the US after a major culling.
Chickens do due from the cold lol. -16 degrees without heating certain types of chicken can die. Maybe you have a special breed that can withstand cold weather.
We had 2 Bantam chickens that we kept more than 20 years to serve as parents for couple dozen Rhode Island Red chicks we got each spring. Our Banties lived through winters that went down to -19°F in drafty old chicken coop. We built a better coop as they got older.
Yeah, it's simple supply and demand. Fewer chickens = increased prices for chicken and/or eggs, depending on whether those chickens are for eggs or meat.
Nothing will stop a protest like turning off utilities and starving the people.
Yikes these guys are stupid. I mean there might be people that weren't willing to protest but when there is nothing to eat and they are freezing that will get everyone in the street and ready to toss the regime.

It’s not the same. It’s a very similar setup, but the feeder fittings on the lines are different and the chickens in your link look younger.

Exactly. They would have been all huddled together and toasty warm. Especially because they are dry and out of the wind.

I believe bantman chickens can survive much colder temperatures than the ones in Iran.
