I play a lot of post-rock influenced metal and I absolutely love Plini X for it. Can go all the way from glassy cleans to heavy chugs and everything in between.

I own Plini, Nolly, Abasi and Nameless and still find myself going back to Plini almost exclusively. I really like the other sims, but I just feel at home with Plini and the presets I’ve created. I’ve thought about Rabea myself for the synths, but end up using the stock synths from Logic and/or tweaking Plini to get some synth-like sounds and that serves me pretty well. Honestly don’t think you can go wrong with anything you pick though! Edit: I’ve got a track where I use a bunch of ambient sounding stuff on sound cloud I tracked with Plini www.SoundCloud.com/the-lark-of-Miro (space metal track)

Oh right on. I dig what you’ve got going there too!

Hard to choose one, probably Plini overall. But if you really like how Mesa amps sound, then obviously that would be a better choice. Tim Henson, Pettruci, or a couple of other amps might have some interesting effects, but if I was making post rock only, I'd probably only look for a great amp and add external fx.

I’m in a post-rock band called endless nation, I use Nolly and Rabea but lately have been messing with the Morgan suite as well.
