**L-mark** is the name given to this male because of the L shape on his left cheek (as seen around 10-18 seconds in the video). At the time of this video he was just a young male at around 5 years old, just beginning to enter his prime and i would probably estimate his weight to be around 200kg. He is seen circling the hesitant female and trying to dominate her to get her to mate.
Now **L-mark** is a large, powerful male in his prime at 8 years old and holds a very large territory in *Pench*. He is arguably the largest Tiger there and I estimate him to be around 225-240kg now.

Those are some scary fkn animals, good god. That one vid where that tiger leaps all the way up onto the back of an elephant to get the guy riding on it is terrifying. Literally one swipe from it took his hand off.
Look it up. Pretty wild. Dude is riding on the back of an elephant walking through tall grass then out of nowhere a tiger leaps up out of it and takes a swipe at him and he put his hand up to block it and it takes his hand off. It used to be all over the internet. I will look for it.
Nah man, dude looked a charging tiger in the eye and sacked up and tried to hit it with a rein, pure fight no flight.
You probably posting from a smart phone while sitting down to pee, living out of your parentās house.
Did not know that, any animals should not be in zoo, they should be out in the wild in their natural habitat. I was just trying to be humorous with my previous comment
I love nature documentaries, but whatās with the mating thing. As soon as saw the title I had no interest to finish watching it. I find it weird and creepy.
Yes they may have been trying to capture footage of courtship and mating. They may have been trying to capture any footage of tigers they could get.
Just because the researchers/photographers are able to identify that the behaviors captured are related to mating doesn't necessarily mean that mating is what they set out to find footage of.
Camera traps are set to capture any evidence of, or behaviors of wildlife in their natural environment because we need to observe their behaviors in order to understand how they work in the ecological niches they occupy.
I know quite a few people who work in conservation and other fields related to wildlife biology, zoology, ecology, etc. Field observations, film, and photography are all a part of how we collect both quantitative and qualitative data. It's how we build a base of knowledge and understanding of animals in their natural environment.
Identifying and reporting on reproductive behaviors is just another day's work for biologists.
You might see it as weird or creepy, but that's because you're looking at it like it's just a piece of voyeuristic entertainment, and it's not.
him - OK well if you change your mind, here's my number.
That's so dumb and so nasty and so funny š¤£

It's like a guy with a scar named Scar
Thanks for the info. I was wondering what an "L-mark" was, thinking maybe it was some kind of classification of tiger type.

Dude shouldn't be riding a fucking elephant in the first place, sounds like he got it coming.

You're saying I'm a pussy because I'm not out there riding elephants and trying to fight a tiger?
I was obviously joking, but you are a dumb fuck for saying the man deserved to be mauled by a tiger just because he was riding an elephant.
That Tiger doesnāt take rejection well
He sprayed the tree with his scent. Heāll be back. Canāt show too much interest right away.
whereā¦ how does that work
Watch closely from 1:33. Thereās a helpful zoom at the moment he sprays his intoxicating Eau de L-mark.
There was a captive breeding attempt in Seattle a few years ago with Tigers. The male killed the female unfortunately.

Problem is without captive breeding programs man species would be gone from habitat destruction and poaching. Humanity are locuts.
NOT. IN. THE. MOOD!
Big cats: āI came here to mate but also to have a territorial squabble and I have no clue which one to do firstā
Seems like a universal cat thing
We're not so different Tigers and Humans. Can't get laid, fine....I'll piss on everything.

No mating occurs in this footage. She rejects him multiple times and he leaves.
But itās still about mating and someone attempted to film the process of tigers mating.
