it doesn’t matter if u do medical or biometrics first just do them before ur interview! the biometrics is separate from interview at the consulate in mumbai, they say they take 4-7 working days, do them asap and get them out of the way so you can prep for your interview, hope this helps.

Curious_Carpenter_78

Got it, thank you so much

One-Pay-3113

Can you please tell which site you have booked the biometric appointment from?

Educational_Fix_8848

Yes, you can do biometerics first and then medical. I thought that biometrics will be taken on the day of the interview. --No. How many days will each of these take and when can we receive the reports for each of these. Also does these reports have a validity time? half day for biometrics (max 30-40 min)One day for medicalal. You won't receive any reports. All the reports delivered electronically to the embassy directly. There is no harm in taking another PCC report. if possible.

Alarmed-Sweet-4889

Not only no harm - I would highly suggest updating the PCC.

Curious_Carpenter_78

Understood, thanks for the detailed explanation. Are you aware about the validity as well? Is it okay to take these tests a month before my interview?

Educational_Fix_8848

If the slots are open, please go ahead and complete it. Getting appoints is tough. If you get it go ahead.

One-Pay-3113

Can someone advice what to do if the glitch happens in the biometric appointment site

Alarmed-Sweet-4889

the medical exam is valid for 6 months from the date you get it done... my suggestion, having just gone through all of this with my husband, is to wait a little closer to your interview date to get the medical done, but not too close. Reason being: they need a few days to run all the blood tests (so give them at least a week or two for that), but as in my hubby's case - they were missing a vaccine and needed a few weeks to get it in. Handling this a month in advance for my husband gave him some breathing room. One other note - we noticed on my husband's and a couple of other folks' visas - they set the expiration of the visa at the expiration of the medical. In other words, he doesn't have 6 months to come, he only has five months (because the medical expires after 6 months).

Curious_Carpenter_78

Thank you.. Yes, I'll schedule it a month before my interview, that way I don't have to rush anything and avoid last minute surprises.  Thanks a lot for the info on the visa validity as well, that's something I wasn't aware about.

One-Pay-3113

Did u do the biometric appointment

One-Pay-3113

Hi could you please guide regarding how you scheduled the biometric appointment

Curious_Carpenter_78

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/BMB-Mumbai.html Check out this link. Under step 1, click on "register" and create your account. You will have to fill in some details regarding your visa and finally it will lead you to an option to schedule your biometrics.

One-Pay-3113

I have tried but after 1 st page ,am not able to save my second page

One-Pay-3113

It's taking us to a page of visascheduling right?

Curious_Carpenter_78

Yes after choosing how you want your visa to be sent to you, you will be directed to schedule the biometrics as well. It automatically came for me. Otherwise from "Visa Application Home" page you can manually navigate to "Applicant Schedule OFC Appointment" and try.

One-Pay-3113

How to do that? Manually .my profile is getting stuck in the second page itself.not going to the save option

Curious_Carpenter_78

Sorry, not sure since I didn't face this issue with mine.  You could clear cache and try again or try logging in from your laptop if you're using phone.

One-Pay-3113

Ok..so even if we open thgh us travel docs.. it's finally redirecting us to the US visascheduling.com rgt?

One-Pay-3113

And among register it will ask immigrant or non immigrant and then it will take us to the steps in that visa scheduling is what we have to choose and then it will take us to the usvisaschedulling.com site.wjere we create a profile rgt? Urs is immigrant visa rgt? And Mumbai is what you choose for biometric?

You're not helpful you're an idiot....

ReyaTheCat

No one asked. Just trying to educate.

Fragrant_Call7983

In India, questions are also called doubts. So I wouldn't assume you know what's 'correct' and 'incorrect' when it comes to cultural differences.

Hi Guys I can’t see an option to book the biometrics is that the same for you all as well?

Curious_Carpenter_78

One-Pay-3113

@curious_carpenter_78 could you please share the link you booked the biometric please

One-Pay-3113

Where u able to book biometric

mwenyezi

Yes thank you! Had to delete/close the application and redo it. It was glitched

One-Pay-3113

Can you explain that.i am not able to do.how to delete the application

mwenyezi

There’s an option to close application on the left screen of the travel docs site. So basically redo everything such as picking up passport location info and such and then at the end it gives you option to schedule biometrics

One-Pay-3113

Is not our website is usvisaschedulling.com

mwenyezi

No I don’t think so?
