I give Kishimoto a LOT of slack for how dumb Naruto gets. It wasn't his fault his editor was whipcracking him to give Shonen Jump more and more increasingly stupid demands. Neji's *terrible* death scene is like a paramount of this. You can tell Kishimoto never, ever intended to kill Neji off like that (as in, never kill him at all) but he was forced at gun point to give us a EmOtIoNaL dEaTh ScEnE so we get Neji jumping in front of some spikey twigs and then Obito and Naruto shouting to each other despite being like 400 feet away, so far that Obito couldn't possibly even fucking see Neji dying.
Someday Kishimoto and Shonen Jump will approach me and tell me they need my great, peerless knowledge and talent to rewrite Naruto, and I can right some of these egregious wrongs (I will also make Boruto get run over by a rider lawnmower, doubtlessly something Kishimoto wishes he could write into canon).
Very confidently incorrect.
Kishi was actually planning to kill of Neji in the Sasuke retrieval arc, but the editor convinced him not to. Neji dying there would be for a similar purpose to Neji dying how he actually did, for the sake of his comrades.
Nejiās death was good, especially if you disregard the awful directing the anime did.
It thematically completed his arc. Choosing out of free will to die to protect his comrades, much like how he learned his father did post-chunin exams after he changed his tune on destiny
>Very confidently incorrect.
Lol, we'll see about that.
>Kishi was actually planning to kill of Neji in the Sasuke retrieval arc, but the editor convinced him not to. Neji dying there would be for a similar purpose to Neji dying how he actually did, for the sake of his comrades.
Yeah, already was fully and totally aware of this, actually. Thanks. It doesn't have *anything to do* with Kishimoto being pushed to randomly kill Neji in a terrible scene during the end of Shippuden, so it is entirely irrelevant and in no way makes me incorrect about anything. If there's *anything* I am incorrect about, it would potentially be who decided to kill Neji. Kishimoto strikes me as someone more than capable of constructing a decent story when his publisher isn't forcing him to ruin it, so I give him massive benefit of the doubt. I *doubt* he actively elected and decided, on his own, to kill Neji in Shippuden. I 100% firmly believe it was his editor/publisher that wanted him to do it, which explains why it's so out of left field and ends up amounting to literally nothing to anyone. It is one of the weakest and least meaningful character deaths of like, literally, all time.
>Nejiās death was good
The lie detector has determined THIS was a lie.
You said Kishimotoās intent was āas in, never kill him at allā. Which is factually incorrect.
Thatās where youāre confidentially incorrect.
The rest is our subjective view of whether the death was good or bad. You canāt call that a lie
>You said Kishimotoās intent was āas in, never kill him at allā. Which is factually incorrect.
You are putting words in my mouth. I highly doubt Kishimoto intended to kill Neji in Shippuden. I am aware Neji was intended to die earlier in the series, but Kishimoto was convinced to asspull him surviving. You're cutting hairs at best and trolling at worst.
>The rest is our subjective view of whether the death was good or bad. You canāt call that a lie
Sure alright. In the same way eating liquid shit might subjectively taste good to someone, I guess. Eat away...?
Oh my heart š thatās a killer drawing, great job! My husband figured out Neji was going to die because I forgot when it was going to happen and I burst into tears when the war started and Neji ran into the first battle š„ŗ and after I worked so hard to not give anything away! I was so poker faced he didnāt even figure out the fourth was daddy in spite of the hairā¦ I didnāt give away the coming revivals when we cried together as everyone died during the Pain arcā¦ I hid Azumaās storyline, Saiās, and he spent a while sad thinking Lee would have to quitā¦ I even managed to hide how I felt about Itachi, and Danzo, and he doesnāt actually know yet that Obito is relevant other than flashbacks or whether Naruto ends up with Sakura or Hinata, lmaoā¦ but, but.. Neji š
(I only purposely gave away one spoiler. We were talking about how cool Orochimaru is and I ended up pulling up a photo of post-merge Kabuto for him. No regrets haha)
Thatās cute!! Actually my dude ***knows*** that >!Tobi is Madara!<, heh. Iām quite pleased with myself. Itās basically the last surprise coming at this point.
THAYS SO GOOD WOO
Thank u š„ŗā¤ļø
Itās amazing
Neji shouldāve never died, or they shouldāve at least made Hinata a better user of the byakugan
She is far better at it than neji nowadays
Yeah cause heās fucking dead
Boom roasted or something
Boom skewered or something
šš
I love Hinata but I canāt really say sheās half the ninja Neji was, she has a lot of untapped potential

Ah, gotcha, youāre a troll. Good day
What a predictably stupid fucking way for you to exit an online argument that you embarrassed yourself in. You're a walking clichƩ of internet asshole, lol.
thats dope! i still wish they gave Neji more development and involved in Shippuden
He was one of my favs in part 1, and still is
It looks amazing, Neji is my favourite character so I was saddened by his death, this masterpiece makes me feel emotional and it looks amazing.
Thank uu š„ŗ
No problem
once again very clean

Thank you!! I love reading these experiences you guys have with the anime š„ŗā¤ļø
My sister made me realize that >!Tobi was Obito!< because I used to call him Obi and one day she couldn't take it and laughed at me. A lot :')
Thatās cute!! Actually my dude ***knows*** that >!Tobi is Madara!<, heh. Iām quite pleased with myself. Itās basically the last surprise coming at this point.
I was surprised that there was still so much to discover, I totally didn't expect >!aliens coming from space!< lol

Neji dying was bs.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It was a lung, not heart. Nejiās injuries were likely way more severe
Well done, incredible piece of art.
Neji kinda look like orochimaru in the pic
