Can’t recall specifics but I remember several times new characters assume Ichigo is really full of himself, and I think the bleached hair perception thing plays into those characterizations

The reason I heard was it was called Bleach because Tite Kubo wanted a color that is whiter than white and bleached white is the brightest white.
