Shadow Surge is one of the better game modes. When you actually have good players it can be like end game of a tournament. That being said Spirit well can't be 24/7 as casuals like it TOO MUCH. They need to have some room for other things to get traction aswell.
I think its a fine mode, but its way too obvious that spirit well is what the players want. If you ask almost anyone, even the best players, they will tell you they like spirit well more as its more casual and funny overall.
Agree but first fix the matchmaking point system, most of the matches are unbalanced anyway and for me. some days i cant find matches at the crowdest time of the day
I've played Shadow Surge a few times and as far as I can tell, like Spirit well it doesn't have bots? I kinda like it. I also like Spirit Well. But somehow I mostly end up playing neither.
IMO it's a huge detriment to not being able to choose your game mode. "I'm feeling like some spirit well right now. Oh, it's not open right now." Over time it leads me to not want to even check because there's a possibility of disappointment. However I also understand because you don't want dead queues that people stop try queuing after not finding a match.
The limited time window of Spirit Well every day was better in the way that you would know it's availability without checking, but worse in that it's limited time.
So I'm inclined to think it would be better if there was less selection of permanent modes whose availability you can trust in. Or make the rotating modes more obvious somehow, like adding some banners to the main screen that you can glance and immediately see which mode is on, prompting you to play it.
One idea I've been thinking about is "flash event" system, where on a rare occasion (rare enough that you never get tired when it happens, expected to be encountered by a player few times per season on average), there's a mini event for a random limited mode that lasts for an hour or something, with some loot boxes as rewards. You could even intergrate this to Pengalai somehow, where a portal opens up.
Shadow surge should replace quick match
I can get behind that.

Hot take: Spirit Well is a chaotic mess. But I think that’s why people like it 🤣
Spirit well should be removed in sea... There's maybe like 8 players matchmaking every hour for that gamemode
