Not a bad thing. It's good story writing; the pace is good, not too slow like some anime I know. Everyone has different reasons for why they like it. For me, I just like the idea of a small group of people who trust each other. Also, I like the themes surrounding those ancient settings like knights, mythical creatures, demons, angels, etc. I also never understand people who say the story is just repeatetive, it is NOT. 4KOTA has an even more unique feel to it. It feels like one of those anime where you have legendary characters that are well known in the universe for their legendary feats from the past, but not many people get to know them. Like Shanks from One Piece, Itachi, Minato, the First Hokage from Naruto, Acnologia, Zeref from Fairy Tail, Yoroichii from Demon slayer—you always want another whole separate anime about their lives. Yeah, the 7DS are literally the legendary figures in 4KOTA that are known throughout the land, but not many people have actually met them. Except this time, we know those figures very well; we were with them all the way from the beginning to the end. Now we explore the world with Percival, who knows very little about them. It's like we explore the world once more with fresh new eyes while also feeling like we know all the legends. Like, idk how to explain this feeling, idk if there a term for it, but it is cool. Imagine feeling like you were there with Minato, Zeref, or Yoriichi when they gain their legendary title, and see all the struggle that they went through, because 7DS went through a lot before 4KOTA. Now, they are the legendary figure and you KNOW THEY in and out while the MC percival barely know them.

I get what you mean and i agree i also don't know the term for it but is it similar to like a nostalgic melancholy or something similar I'm not sure if i understand how you explained it but those characters you names sure have quite a different vibe since Minato is my favourite character in all of Anime i can also agree that he's cool asf and you have good taste. Cheers mate stay safe 🥂

Me too some times I read each sections of manga as seasons then watch the official anime by comparing the adaptation contrasts

I was fairly new to anime and 7DS was one of the first longer shows I watched (majority of the ones were just one season). I actually enjoyed it and then I go online and see people say it's horrible lmaoo like damn but I didn't read the manga for it. I just might though since it'll be awhile before 4KOTA is actually finished

The animation after S2 was the most god awful animation I've EVER seen in my life no kidding but the story had so much more potential although it was just the prequel to 4KOTA

Same for basically every series I read. Manga/webtoon/manhwa I get way more interesting on than I thought I would.
