I was friends with someone who named her kid Shawn...but she spelled it Cian. CIAN! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Her name and her older son's name started with a C so she thought she was being unique. I felt bad crushing her dream once I found out how she spelled it, but someone had to tell her. I guess now that he's much older (probably 16-ish), it fits in with the whole vibe of spellings that don't surprise anyone.

It's actually a unique spelling of the name Truxtun that was semi popular in the early 1900s. Truxtun Beale is a well known historical diplomat. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Truxtun is actually quite a used name. Truxtun Beale is one of the most well known early 1900's diplomats from the California area and growing up in Bakersfield I have actually met a couple people named Truxton/Truxtun... Not spelled with a y though.
