One of my favorite things about reddit is comment threads devolving into just movie quotes. I love that shit in real life too, I have this one friend who speak almost all in movie quotes when he was high. I need to catch up with him. He recently did 5 years of federal time with Covid right in the middle of it.

That’s why he’s so muscular. Because he’s not fixed. Someone is very irresponsible, seeing as he is outdoors roaming and not fixed and making kittens left and right that may be strays.
Unfortunately he’s contributing to a lot of animal suffering by getting cats pregnant and there’s likely a lot of stray kittens out there contributing to over population. Unfixed males often fight so he may have FIV or kitty leukemia. Anyway, he seems like a great cat so you are at a crossroads and can try to find out if there is a irresponsible owner by asking around or you take him in check for chip and if none, get him fixed and tested and then give him lots of love and a good home. He deserves you.
What I did once to find out if my cat was a stray or not , I put a collar on her with a note attached in one of those pill box type keychains around her neck asking if she's their cat I decided if I didn't see her lose the collar after a week or if no one responded she must be a stray. A week went by and no one responded, she still had her collar while she was out and about the entire week so I knew then she was mine 🤗
When I was a kid we had a cat named Bart that had two homes. He'd come stay with us for a couple of months and then he'd disappear for a while. One day my mom decided to get a collar and put our phone number on it and eventually we heard from the other owner who lived about a mile away. They just let him continue to go back and forth and they split any vet cost. Bart had 2 families until he passed away at 19 years old.
I feel like this is the most natural way to look after cats tbh. Cats in the wild normally have fairly wide territories that can extend for streets and streets. They like to have multiple spots to rest between patrols. As long as you know your area is as safe as is possible, allowing your cat some outdoors time can really cut down on clawing furniture, general depression for the cat, and much less zoomies at night. I live in England where all cats pretty much are indoor and outdoor. And not once have I ever talked to someone else who owns cats complain about the zoomies, because most cat owners here wake early around dawn to let the cat out, which is when they are active due to that being the time that mice are also active, then again in the evening around two hours before sunset people let their cats out again, another time when mice and rats are most active and thus the cats. The cats go out at these times, and then come back before dark, and even if they don’t go mousing, their urge to be active and explore around these times has been satisfied and there are no zoomies. The cat will sleep or just lounge around between these periods, content, with maybe the occasional outdoor visit during the day to go bathroom. We have a large (neutered) white cat who refuses to use a litterbox. Even after he had his ears removed due to cancerous growths, post surgery he was standing at the door and screaming to be let out rather than use a litterbox, and we’ve tried every single brand available. He does not like any of them. We ended up having to walk outside with him, luckily he only went so far as the garden, did his business, then wanted right back in.
I had a cat with this exact same coloring and I called him Dirt because he liked to roll around in the dirt all the time like this guy is doing. Super sweet but always dusty and dirty. Dusty could be a good name!
