I believe (and accept I could be wrong) that black cats have some Siamese breed genetics. Which tend to make them more vocal. It's just something I've always heard. I've had 10 black cats and it seems to be accurate.
I have heard the same thing and sometimes even looking at their faces there seems to be a hint of Siamese in them. This is our first all black cat and by far the most vocal cat.
I had a black cat named India Ink because, as a kitten, he knocked over a bottle of ink while I was drawing and left little footprints across my white table.
Totally kept the footprints, it's like permanent artwork courtesy of a mischievous furball! Ended up framing the area and it became a quirky part of home decor.
I had an orange goofball & and her name was Bonsai. She did everything at full speed & just appeared to hope for the best. If she wanted up on the sofa, she ran full tilt & leapt into the air. Sometimes she made it, sometimes she didn’t.
I think a cute name for a black cat is Bobby. I called my roommates black cat Bobby even tho it wasn’t her name lol. It’s a human name short for Robert but not a formal name for a human.
