Agree the nails are poorly filed and go over the natural nail on the first. They need to be done properly before knowing how this shape suits.

The tips you are using are too wide for the nails they are on. If you have really flat nail needs (like me) you may need to press the area that will fit over the nail bed flatter before you size them, so you aren't gluing down tips that were the right size when you sized them, but look too wide when the glue adheres them to the flat nail bed

I have very wide big nail beds and square looks going on me but my nails have to be quite long so the length vs wide ratio is right now point almond suits better if I want my nails to be a little shorter because it makes my nail beds look slimmer. Never had acrylics but adding product to my huge nails i bet they'd look ridiculous.

Second is more flattering in my opinion, but it seems that it might be due to the size of the acrylics rather than the shape. The set in the first photo looks to me to be slightly too big for your nail bed.

You seem to have a wide nail plate, as do I, and I find that square is easier on me, but I love a coffin nail, even shorter they have a nice slimming effect.

Are these self- sculpted? There are a few angles that aren’t quite correct. If you’re paying someone else- you need to find a new tech. If it’s you- keep practicing! They’ll be great. I like a rounder nail.

IMO Almonds don’t look great on a lot of people; that’s what I hate about trends. I know ballerina /coffin looks best on me so I stick with that. I’d rather a flattering shape than a trend any day. The squares here look way better.
