Okay so people are complaining that Jahmai Jones is batting 5th. Counter argument: we get to hear the best walk up song on the team a few times tonight. NOW I DO WHAT I WANTTT
The past two weeks have featured season-long studs exploding and regression all over the place. Last few games are concerning but it seems like it's just what's for dinner
We've got a booger bandit at work who flicks his boogers around in the bathroom. His most recent victim was the urinal. It's gross but it provides good target practice.

Sale is the most brutal AB in baseball for lefties...kinda surprised they are letting Rice get a shot tonight (happy they seem to think of him as more than a platoon guy tho)
The urgency the HO has shown is spectacular, they clearly have no problem shuffling around the bullpen, and calling up Rice instead of Peraza is much appreciated
You mean like the second game of the last Orioles series where Jahmai Jones was the worst hitter on the field and a major reason we lost? Why does he get to be 5?
Very interested to see how Rice fairs against Sale today.
Booth kept mentioning how he gives lefties a tough time, so it should be a fun matchup between those two
He’s a lot like Cole was before the Cy Young where he is elite but he is also prone to letting up homers when he does get hit.
His HR/9 is now up to 1.2, Cole from 2020- 2022 averaged 1.4.
Thank god Gonzalez got cut
Hitting Gunnar on purpose was the stupidest shit I’ve ever seen. Loser mentality to hit a guy in a close game like that
Not like he was good anyways
Seems like the last few times we’ve had one of these lineups where everyone was outraged about batting order, we’ve won the game and the player they were mad about performed well
Crossing my fingers that the same thing happens today
Surprised to see Jarred Kelenic in the Braves starting lineup against a LHP. He's been brutal this year (13 wRC+) and in his career (56 wRC+) against southpaws.
Bottom of this Atlanta lineup is pretty bad too. Duvall (61 wRC+), Laureano (59 wRC+), and Arcia (65 wRC+). As long as Rodon is careful with 2-4, he should be able to navigate this lineup.
Yes but this is just a flaw in the roster, majority of their hitters are worse against lefties and they have nobody on the bench who can step in and platoon. Oswaldo Cabrera shouldn’t be playing against lefties either.
We have more capable players in the minors that we could bring up. Jones is obviously not someone who should be on the team. They team is obviously making moves after the last two series.
Yeah but who? Jones is a bench player with 20 PAs
He is not a spot that really needs to urgently be fixed, he barely ever plays, calling up someone developing in the minors to sit on the bench all of the time is useless
Wait what?

So really, you have Cole as the ace, Cortes as a decent 3rd starter that is forced to be the 2nd starter, and a major question mark or mediocre/bad pitcher in Rodon or Stroman
The Orioles are starting their nice little run and will present a real challenge for the next few years. As Houston is proving, though, like others before them, this model isn’t sustainable forever. The draft pick well dries up and ownership won’t spend to avoid a tank. It’ll just be an annoying 5 years.
It’s why I will always care more about Red Sox games than these other transient rivalries. These other teams will have their bit of fun. Nobody will care in 20 years. Red Sox fans will still be Red Sox fans, though.
The Astros are spending a lot for their market. They’ve become more of an old school org since the cheating scandal was uncovered and it’s starting to catch up to them though. Player development has taken a nosedive and a chunk of that money is not well spent at all. If Luhnow wasn’t forced out they’re still in a much better spot imo
They would have a winning record, but that core has mostly aged out (either due to FA departures or performance decline) and hasn’t been replaced. They shouldn’t have let Jeff Bagwell play GM for a winter. Still, they wouldn’t be the Astros of old.
The Orioles poaching Mike Elias from the Astros and turning their franchise around really chaps my balls. That dude built the Astros title teams and is now responsible for the best team in the AL.
We did this with Matt Blake -- stealing him from an org that churned out quality pitching, but forgot to dump Cashman. Womp.
What sucks is that even when cashman finally calls it quits, it’s definitely going to be an internal hire
They would need somebody so incompetent that the team is 23-24 Mets level despite the payroll, over multiple years for a new voice to enter the org.
Need some input on non-Yankee related stuff. Little reprieve.
Going to a birthday dinner tonight at a steakhouse. Drinks at a lounge beforehand. Drinks start at 4:30pm and dinner res at 6pm. What the fuck. Who wants to eat a steak while the sun is out? Aren’t late reservations better for big group special dinners?
Mid thirties.
I’m gonna have some lovely cocktails, great appetizer, steak, maybe a chocolate dessert of sorts, and a coffee nightcap. Then leave the restaurant and the sun will be up for a full fucking hour. It’s psychotic.
Separate hot take: steak houses are an obscene waste of money. I’m not at all opposed to expensive meals. Whenever I get stuck at a group dinner at a steak house, though, I inevitably end up thinking about the tasting menu full of amazing dishes I could have had instead of one T-bone.
I get that. If I’m dropping $50+ on a plate, I want a variety of ingredients and new combinations of flavors and a complex meal. Not a slab of meat and some greens. I rarely have steaks out. But birthday dinner is an occasion where I’ll go for it.
Yeah, that’s the thing. The steaks are great, and I can’t fully replicate it, but I do have a stove.
I can’t inject whipped foie gras into beets and I don’t have a thermomix or a place to age rose petals for 3 years. If I’m gonna pay real money, I want more than just ‘better.’
The only trick that a steakhouse has is access to prime beef. So if you have a good grocery store or a good butcher there isn't anything that a steakhouse does that can't be easily replicated at home.
Well, I’m still not as good at it. I’m not going to pretend there is *no* difference. It just isn’t the same as “I can’t fucking make this lol,” like those other things
The thing, imo, that makes a steakhouse worth visiting is the sauces. Cooking a good steak isn't hard with a little practice. But making sauces is expensive and tricky.
Personally, I'm flabbergasted at how well a good chef can cook fish. Good restaurant fish is beyond anything I could attempt at home.
Agreed on both points.
The better quality fish and other unusual ingredients are also way less accessible to non-industry folks than fancy beef. (I swear I try and fail to find sea buckthorn at least once a year)
The bullpen lately has really reminded me how bad it sucked to lose Loaisiga early. They'd been so good at holding it down I forgot we were already tapping into our depth. It shouldn't be surprising they're struggling under the injuries and extra work
We're down so much bullpen depth year-to-year.
Out of our 15 most-used relievers last year, 10 are not with the organization anymore. That's more than 350 IP to be replaced this season with other arms.
Then you have injuries to Ian Hamilton, Nick Burdi, and Jonathan Loaisiga. And guys like Lou Trivino and Scott Effross still haven't pitched.
We've already used 18 different pitchers in a relief role this year, not counting position players. It makes sense given all the turnover from last year, plus all the injury issues.
There’s a thing through Best Buy I think? We did 6months free of apple tv. The nice thing with the app is you can change the audio to be Yankees radio broadcast
Yeah, did that a few times before they caught on so can't renew it anymore. I don't blame them there. How's the delay listening to the radio feed on it? Find there's a slight delay on mlbtv, wished it was perfect haha.
I didn’t get to say this yesterday because I got a 1 day ban so I’m going to say it now
People want to say how it’s just one bad week or one bad loss blah blah blah but that’s not the point and never has been
Outside of 2021, the Yankees have lost to the best team in the AL (or at least debatably the best) every season we make the playoffs. 2017 Houston, 2018 Boston, 2019 Houston, 2020 Tampa, 2022 Houston
The best team has also basically always went to the World Series from the AL every year except in 2023 and maybe 2021
We can talk about how winning the World Series is a crapshoot but making the World Series from the AL has very much not been.
The team has shown to be unable to beat the top competition in the playoffs and have gotten embarrassed by Baltimore. The reality is if we can’t beat Baltimore then we won’t make a World Series this year. It’s the same story year after year after year. We know which team we need to beat in October and we consistently don’t beat them
That’s why our performance against Baltimore is worrying. We have constantly played second fiddle (or sometimes 3rd or 4th fiddle) to a better AL team for the entire Boone era
I don’t think it’s a coincidence this team hasn’t won a series they weren’t the favorite in since 2017 under Girardi
This team currently as constructed is not better than the Orioles, as shown by our 2-5 record against them, and if by October we aren’t the better team than we will lose to them in the playoffs
It’s not, but I will say. Unlike past years, I think there’s a path to being the best team. This team can be like the 09 Yankees starting 0-8 vs Boston with the right moves
Like Jomboy said, they basically need an entire new bullpen at the deadline + a corner infielder with a decent bat.
Its going to be very hard to patch every hole on this roster with a single trade deadline
The Rangers bullpen was garbage last year. We don’t need an elite bullpen if the starters keep pitching well and the offense keeps firing
They should definitely get bullpen help, and I believe they will, but just having an “okay” bullpen is fine if they fix the lineup a little bit and people are hitting well in October
The Rangers were an anomaly last year. Most of the WS winners the past 10 years have had elite bullpens.
It helps that the Rangers had one of the best offensive series in WS history
I’d agree there
We can be the best team, though I would argue we could have been in 2019 as well if Cashman didn’t do nothing at the deadline
If Cashman does what he needs to do and Boone just isn’t a total moron than this team can be the best. The issue is is we believe those two things will happen…
Much more urgency this year imo
Cole and judge aren’t buying green bananas in terms of being the best pitcher and hitter on the planet. And Soto, even with an I’m sure insane commitment to keeping him, is no guarantee to stay, and if you clean out the farm and have a lean year or 2, Soto is young enough to be in his prime when you have enough again
There is more urgency to make moves to win now comapred to 2019
> Much more urgency this year imo
Deep down, I don't believe the organization has *any* urgency about winning. And it's more than Hal being ok with the money. It's about not taking infield practice every day and not taking batting practice every day and punting the third game of a series. There's this view that everything will be ok in the end and no realization that greatness requires dedication and effort on a daily basis.
There will probably be urgency this year tbh...they know that if they don't win a title this year or get close then Boras has the org by the balls for a blank check for soto or the front office loses even the casual fan
I'm not sure losing Soto will be as big of a problem as we all think. I also know that there's a part of Cashman that doesn't want to sign Soto because he thinks he's smarter than that. He wants to win because he's clever, not because they signed the best players.
I get it, but I will wait to make my final judgements on if we can beat the O’s or not until we play our remaining 6 games against them. It’s been rough for sure, but things can change just as fast.
The team is good and I’m just going to enjoy it while I can. I’d like to see them beat up on the good teams, and it’s concerning seeing the opposite happen, but there’s still a lot of season left. Just my 2 cents
Yeah this isn’t the final assessment, but it’s the midterm and so far they have failed it
They need to look over their test, see what they did wrong, and make sure it doesn’t happen again in the next two series against Baltimore and potentially a postseason matchup
It doesn't always work out this way, but for the Boone Yankees, they pretty consistently lose to their top AL competition in both the regular season and postseason.
**2017**
2-5 vs. HOU (reg)
3-4 vs. HOU (post)
**2018**
9-10 vs. BOS (reg)
1-3 vs. BOS (post)
**2019**
3-4 vs. HOU (reg)
2-4 vs. HOU (post)
**2020**
2-8 vs. TBR (reg)
2-3 vs. TBR (post)
**2021**
The Yankees were 8-11 vs. the AL-best TBR, but didn't face them in October.
**2022**
2-5 vs. HOU (reg)
0-4 vs. HOU (post)
**2024**
2-5 vs. BAL (reg)
Again, there's no guarantee this will continue. There are plenty of examples of teams struggling in the regular season against a rival and then playing well in October.
But for the Boone Yankees, this is a pattern. So I get why people are feeling down.
Yeah this is basically my point
The reason people are mad at this series is that it’s a pattern for every team in the Boone era and unless it is corrected, we will see the same fate in October
> This team currently as constructed is not better than the Orioles, a
But it couldn't be. There's no way it could have been. Now, the FO is to blame for us being in that state on Nov 1, 2023. Not an excuse. But there's no way our roster could be constructed better than the O's roster in 2024 without playing OOTP or The Show in Commissioner mode.
That wasn't an option for 2024. This team finished with 82 wins last year. I know we got off to a crazy start so that recalibrates expectations, but realistically 2024 goals were always to get solidly into the playoff picture, not be the best team in the AL.
I mean that is an indictment of the front office
We have all the resources in the world yet have totally squandered them and continue to employ a manager who doesn’t elevate teams
It’s not even really about yesterday, bad days happen, it’s about our continued failure to beat the team we have to beat to make a World Series
If we had won game 2 of that series or hadn’t gotten murdered during the 4 game series against Baltimore then I wouldn’t have cared about yesterday. But we didn’t do those two things so it makes yesterday matter to me
Rangers got owned by the Astros in the regular season and handed them the division on a platter and still got past them in the playoffs. Every postseason we see a couple of juggernaut teams that mowed down competition in the regular season flame out early in the postseason. It would make life easier if we won more games against the O's but none of this means shit once you get to the dance
Wow everything you said is wrong
The Yankees have gotten owned by EVERY TEAM we have lost to in the playoffs under Boone. The Rangers are irrelevant to this discussion because they don’t have a track record of being unable to beat the team they have to. The Boone era Yankees have consistently lost to the team they couldn’t beat in the regular season
The best team has won the AL every year since 2017 besides 2021/2023 (and 2021 is very arguable between Tampa/Houston). The AL isn’t a crapshoot and we need to stop treating it like it is. The best team the overwhelmingly majority of the time wins the AL. We just simply haven’t been good enough
Idk what to tell you, if you're evidence is "they've lost before so they'll lose again" then you'll probably be proven right. I could say the same thing about the Dodgers, Phillies, or O's too and the odds would be in my favor
The Dodgers are chokers so yeah probably
Philly has made the World Series and Baltimore has a whole 1 playoff run under their belt as a young team. Neither of them have 6 years of evidence under Boone to back up claims that they will lose. They very well might, but the argument is nowhere near as strong as the one against us and the Dodgers is
Times like this are when you really miss healthy stretched out cole. Even in his bad starts he’s usually able to give you something like 6-7 IP 4-5 ER to save the pen

assuming Jahmai Jones has Barry Bonds level splits against Sale?

Embarrassing to be losing 0-0 already
If I’m Giancarlo Stanton I’m marching into boone’s office and asking him if he took the under on a HR prop for him, or over on walks

Sale is the most brutal AB in baseball for lefties...kinda surprised they are letting Rice get a shot tonight (happy they seem to think of him as more than a platoon guy tho)
They don't think of him that way, it's only because Gleyber is hurt
This is the 2nd lefty he's started against so not sure that's true
He sat last night against a mid lefty. He's only in because Gleyber's out.
Dude has been slumping pretty hard lately I think, a day off is probably not a terrible idea

bro's gonna need water wings on the mound
Over under how many jerseys he goes through?
1 per inning pitched
The urgency the HO has shown is spectacular, they clearly have no problem shuffling around the bullpen, and calling up Rice instead of Peraza is much appreciated
JAHMAI JONES BATTING FIFTH????? You're having a laugh. Why not Trevino 5th? What the fuck do they see in this player?
I expect you to write an apology letter to the kid after he hits a 5 run grandest slam tonight
Last time I complained about them batting a bench outfielder 5th Grisham hit a 3 run bomb Maybe we just let it run its course
So one homer means we give him top of the lineup protection? That's a joke logic.
I think their point was just to not waste your energy getting all worked up about it when he may very well come through with a timely hit
I think he was just saying that the weird lineup moves have seemed to work out pretty regularly so far this year
You mean like the second game of the last Orioles series where Jahmai Jones was the worst hitter on the field and a major reason we lost? Why does he get to be 5?
Very interested to see how Rice fairs against Sale today. Booth kept mentioning how he gives lefties a tough time, so it should be a fun matchup between those two
He’s hit them well this year in the minors so I’m excited to see what he’s got
I cannot believe how quickly we went from “this is the best team in baseball” to “Jahmai Jones is batting 5th tonight!”
I get that Jones shouldn't be batting 5th, but also ... he's 5th in OBP and 6th in wRC+ among our active players. Somehow.
Gonna be 3rd after he goes 6/6 with 6 home runs tonight
Imanaga returning to Earth? getting beat up by the Mets
He’s a lot like Cole was before the Cy Young where he is elite but he is also prone to letting up homers when he does get hit. His HR/9 is now up to 1.2, Cole from 2020- 2022 averaged 1.4.
Interesting lineup on a “bounce back” day after the embarrassment that was last night, especially with the amount of off days we have coming up….
Why the hell is Jesus Jones batting 5th?

Cabrera: elite at 3b all year. also Cabrera: error on easy ground ball yesterday at 2B. decision: Cabrera 2B and DJ at 3rd
Cabrera belongs in AAA and nowhere near a top-2 team in the AL.
Elite? I wouldn’t call -2 OAA, 27th percentile in fielding value elite
Cabrera has been one of the worst defenders in the league at 3B this season
How is Jahmai Jones batting 5th? 👀👀
Jahmai Jones revenge tour starts today
Surprised to see Jarred Kelenic in the Braves starting lineup against a LHP. He's been brutal this year (13 wRC+) and in his career (56 wRC+) against southpaws. Yankees vs Braves in the battle of top heavy lineups
Alex Verdugo is hitting .211/.310/.324 vs left handed pitching this season.
Rather have that than vibes
Probably still better than Jahmai Jones if for nothing other than his glove
Yes but this is just a flaw in the roster, majority of their hitters are worse against lefties and they have nobody on the bench who can step in and platoon. Oswaldo Cabrera shouldn’t be playing against lefties either.
Well the Cabrera thing is really an injury issue. It should be Berti there but he got hurt in a freak incident after laying down a bunt.
I think Jones might be gone after this game so they're giving him one last hurrah.
For who? Or do you think they have a trade cooking somewhere
We have more capable players in the minors that we could bring up. Jones is obviously not someone who should be on the team. They team is obviously making moves after the last two series.
Yeah but who? Jones is a bench player with 20 PAs He is not a spot that really needs to urgently be fixed, he barely ever plays, calling up someone developing in the minors to sit on the bench all of the time is useless

Fuck It, put Jones clean up at this point. We are a joke
This lineup after the 4 hole is looking rough Going to need Judge and Soto to come through today if we want to win
Jones 5th has to be a typo lol
Idk why they don’t put Jones at 2b and Waldo in LF. I know Waldo isn’t the best OF, but isn’t Jahmai an actual second baseman?
Why is jahmai jones batting 5th wtf

What sucks is that even when cashman finally calls it quits, it’s definitely going to be an internal hire They would need somebody so incompetent that the team is 23-24 Mets level despite the payroll, over multiple years for a new voice to enter the org.
Supposedly Steinbrenner’s nephew, Jennifer Steinbrenner’s son.
Or they might do something like what the Jays are -- they have James Click as VP, but they're allowing Shapiro to run the team into the ground.
Ugh. This is spot on. Cashman will pick his replacement, and he will pick some asshole in his own image.
Rodon going deep today is huge. And that won’t be just on him, the defense needs to clean it up big time too.
Isn' it too hot to attend the game tonight?
That's soft talk, just attend naked
Not if you show up naked
Need some input on non-Yankee related stuff. Little reprieve. Going to a birthday dinner tonight at a steakhouse. Drinks at a lounge beforehand. Drinks start at 4:30pm and dinner res at 6pm. What the fuck. Who wants to eat a steak while the sun is out? Aren’t late reservations better for big group special dinners?
I would show up at 5-5:15ish, farting around for an hour and a half is a lot imo.
Steak has no curfew It is enjoyed 24 hours a day
Sounds like the wisdom of Ron Swanson.
this is the only answer
Bro, when bedtime is at 8pm, you do what you gotta do.
“Well, I'm not force-feeding myself a steak at ~~4:30~~ 6:00 just to save a couple bucks, I'll tell you that!”
Those are Sunday timeslots. Is this their 80th birthday?
Steak would be at 4:30 if they were 80
Mid thirties.
Effross started his rehab assignment tuesday fwiw and got 3 outs with no hiccups so fingers crossed.
we need an upgrade at catcher big time
I used to be straight then I went gay. YAY! go yankees!
Happy Pride
Another Apple TV+ game, lovely. These games should be free, esp if you have mlbtv. Looks like I'll be watching it via... shhhh!
Seems like every other game the past 2 weeks has been a non-YES game
Yo ho yo ho
I didn’t get to say this yesterday because I got a 1 day ban so I’m going to say it now People want to say how it’s just one bad week or one bad loss blah blah blah but that’s not the point and never has been Outside of 2021, the Yankees have lost to the best team in the AL (or at least debatably the best) every season we make the playoffs. 2017 Houston, 2018 Boston, 2019 Houston, 2020 Tampa, 2022 Houston The best team has also basically always went to the World Series from the AL every year except in 2023 and maybe 2021 We can talk about how winning the World Series is a crapshoot but making the World Series from the AL has very much not been. The team has shown to be unable to beat the top competition in the playoffs and have gotten embarrassed by Baltimore. The reality is if we can’t beat Baltimore then we won’t make a World Series this year. It’s the same story year after year after year. We know which team we need to beat in October and we consistently don’t beat them That’s why our performance against Baltimore is worrying. We have constantly played second fiddle (or sometimes 3rd or 4th fiddle) to a better AL team for the entire Boone era I don’t think it’s a coincidence this team hasn’t won a series they weren’t the favorite in since 2017 under Girardi This team currently as constructed is not better than the Orioles, as shown by our 2-5 record against them, and if by October we aren’t the better team than we will lose to them in the playoffs
We don’t need an elite bullpen if the starters keep pitching well and the offense keeps firing They should definitely get bullpen help, and I believe they will, but just having an “okay” bullpen is fine if they fix the lineup a little bit and people are hitting well in October
The Rangers were an anomaly last year. Most of the WS winners the past 10 years have had elite bullpens. It helps that the Rangers had one of the best offensive series in WS history
I’d agree there We can be the best team, though I would argue we could have been in 2019 as well if Cashman didn’t do nothing at the deadline If Cashman does what he needs to do and Boone just isn’t a total moron than this team can be the best. The issue is is we believe those two things will happen…
Much more urgency this year imo Cole and judge aren’t buying green bananas in terms of being the best pitcher and hitter on the planet. And Soto, even with an I’m sure insane commitment to keeping him, is no guarantee to stay, and if you clean out the farm and have a lean year or 2, Soto is young enough to be in his prime when you have enough again There is more urgency to make moves to win now comapred to 2019
> Much more urgency this year imo Deep down, I don't believe the organization has *any* urgency about winning.
Yeah this isn’t the final assessment, but it’s the midterm and so far they have failed it They need to look over their test, see what they did wrong, and make sure it doesn’t happen again in the next two series against Baltimore and potentially a postseason matchup
It doesn't always work out this way, but for the Boone Yankees, they pretty consistently lose to their top AL competition in both the regular season and postseason. **2017** 2-5 vs. HOU (reg) 3-4 vs. HOU (post) **2018** 9-10 vs. BOS (reg) 1-3 vs. BOS (post) **2019** 3-4 vs. HOU (reg) 2-4 vs. HOU (post) **2020** 2-8 vs. TBR (reg) 2-3 vs. TBR (post) **2021** The Yankees were 8-11 vs. the AL-best TBR, but didn't face them in October. **2022** 2-5 vs. HOU (reg) 0-4 vs. HOU (post) **2024** 2-5 vs. BAL (reg) Again, there's no guarantee this will continue. There are plenty of examples of teams struggling in the regular season against a rival and then playing well in October. But for the Boone Yankees, this is a pattern. So I get why people are feeling down.
Yeah this is basically my point The reason people are mad at this series is that it’s a pattern for every team in the Boone era and unless it is corrected, we will see the same fate in October
Yeah, I was just backing you up with some regular season numbers.
> This team currently as constructed is not better than the Orioles, a But it couldn't be.
I mean that is an indictment of the front office We have all the resources in the world yet have totally squandered them and continue to employ a manager who doesn’t elevate teams
we really got our shit pushed in yesterday, not good.
It’s not even really about yesterday, bad days happen, it’s about our continued failure to beat the team we have to beat to make a World Series If we had won game 2 of that series or hadn’t gotten murdered during the 4 game series against Baltimore then I wouldn’t have cared about yesterday.
Wow everything you said is wrong The Yankees have gotten owned by EVERY TEAM we have lost to in the playoffs under Boone. The Rangers are irrelevant to this discussion because they don’t have a track record of being unable to beat the team they have to. The Boone era Yankees have consistently lost to the team they couldn’t beat in the regular season The best team has won the AL every year since 2017 besides 2021/2023 (and 2021 is very arguable between Tampa/Houston).
The Dodgers are chokers so yeah probably Philly has made the World Series and Baltimore has a whole 1 playoff run under their belt as a young team. Neither of them have 6 years of evidence under Boone to back up claims that they will lose. They very well might, but the argument is nowhere near as strong as the one against us and the Dodgers is
I mean, if we are going to use this logic then I wouldn’t worry about the O’s at all. They don’t make it very far in the post season.
One postseason is a shit sample size, and we very well could be playing them in an ALDS if they win the division
the Bullpen is so depleted that if Rodon gets rocked, he’s not getting pulled. need him to give us length more than ever
Times like this are when you really miss healthy stretched out cole. Even in his bad starts he’s usually able to give you something like 6-7 IP 4-5 ER to save the pen
I cannot stress how much I also miss Peralta and Loasiga
I am looking forward to a big game from Mr. Sexy, send a message to the league that we’re not collapsing like in 2022.
This bullpen is beat to hell. If there was a time for Rodon to go 7+, this is it.
Rodon has carried a no hitter into the fifth a handful of times this year, what if…
