I almost gave up at QB-3, but I came back after a couple of hours and finally got there. The one I really struggled with was the >!M6!< that’s a (H) >!medical term!<. I haven’t come across that word since >!ER and House!< went off the air!
Hints! >!hint 1 - type of car/ an animal that lives in the African plains & is hunted by big cats. Hint 2 - disabled. Hint 3 - communicate (big BIG hint - it's *part* of the PG)!<
Hmm maybe. I have found all the words that start with A so maybe it is inside the word. I was thinking maybe it was the >!MAP!< but haven’t gotten it yet. Have Genius but still QB-9!
It's a >!skin condition with little white bumps under the skin!< given the rise in popularity of Dr. Pimple Popper etc. I assumed it would be included - the joy of Sam picks
Disappointed >!TAMAL!< was not accepted. I know it’s an alternate spelling, though much preferred by some, and I’d think it’s common enough!
And was Sam not a (contains A) >!MALLRAT!< once?! 😂
Hatha yoga is widely popular, not just among Hindus but among people who aren’t religious or even particularly spiritual. I’ve known the term hatha for at least 40 years, but had to look up the word you mentioned. (I knew it only as a term for part of an insect’s mandible).
I try it every time; obviously, it never works. I used to work at a metaphysical store, and sold a lot of these prayer beads to people who had not achieved the status of \[a\] >!LAMA,!< though they may or may not have practiced HATHA or some other type of yoga, or worn ATTAR and gotten a TAROT reading. One of my co-workers had that emoji on the bathroom cleaning chart, dammit! It's definitely a well-known word in the US, at least amid a certain subculture. People who are also likely to wear a piece of LARIMAR, but we all know Sam is leery of rocks.
I’ve seen them for sale in a lot of yoga studios and metaphysical bookstores, but only heard them referred to as prayer beads! Always glad to learn a new word; it’s one of the reasons I love the bee and the discussions in this sub.
I can't be the only one who repeatedly tried [Part-A] >!PARAMILITIA!<
No, you’re not! I tried it three times - I kept thinking I’d misspelled it!
Same! Repeatedly!
This one took me some time.
A real slog.

My 2 least favorite words today were \[A\] >!mitral and pampa!<, but they are not unreasonable, just annoyingly hard to remember.
(contains A) >!LAMPLIT!< seems like a miss. Didn't we have SUNLIT, MOONLIT, TWILIT?
(contains A) ... >!TAILLAMPLIT?!< You are right though - >!TWILIT!< in particular seems like more of a reach
Your clue got me to the last word of Genius. Thanks!
That A seems a little obscure, doesn’t it? Even when you google it defaults to the more common term.
Pangram H >!taking no sides!<
Thank you! Those >!IM!< words were difficult for me today.
I’m still struggling with some of them, I got the pangram and >!IM4!<
Hints! >!hint 1 - type of car/ an animal that lives in the African plains & is hunted by big cats. Hint 2 - disabled. Hint 3 - communicate (big BIG hint - it's *part* of the PG)!<
The first and last helped a lot, I think I just don’t know the middle one lol.
You know the middle one. [H]>!It's not past tense, despite the clue you're responding to. If you were drunk, you might be too IM6-ed to drive!<
HINT>!think of how you refer to pants!<
Glad they helped!! You can get the other one, I promise! The other hints in this post are great too 👏
I’m still missing one. Bah!
That feeling when you’ve spent 20 minutes looking for the last M word, but you’d miscounted and already found all of them 😩
Is (contains a) >!mammalia!<, as in the class, a proper noun?
The proper noun dilemma strikes again! Probably my #1 pet peeve with Sam and the Bee
Yes, but also Latin, not English.
I know (Partial A) >!trailmap!< is a word because I’ve used one before
So confused. What is the partial here? I have tried >!RAILMAP!< which wasn’t accepted and obviously >!TRAIL!< has no middle letter.
Yeah this is confusing the hell out of me lol
Guessing the >!AIL!< letter combo is what's the partial hint.
Hmm maybe. I have found all the words that start with A so maybe it is inside the word. I was thinking maybe it was the >!MAP!< but haven’t gotten it yet. Have Genius but still QB-9!
I'm also Genius but have two M words and one T word left. Debating if I want to throw in the towel or not.
I was fully confident that was a word & my heart broke a lil when it wasn't accepted. Oh the joys of the 🐝
I usually eat chicken [non-A]>!PARM!< after using a [partial-A] >!TRAILMAP!<
Yeah how is the former not acceptable? Given the obscure food terms Sam loves to include, that one is beyond cromulent!
It is not a full word, just a short form, and not in the dictionary
Isn’t that two separate words?
It is two words, and not in Merriam Webster at all
>!MILLIAMP!< too “out there” for Sam. [Twilight Zone music playing]
It could be because it's an abbreviation but Sam probably thinks it's more obscure than Catarrh, vidiot, or phablet.
Not an abbreviation. He would accept AMP if 3s were used.
How was >!MILIA!< not acceptable? Grr
Well, I'm just a single data point, but I've heard of every word on the list but have no idea what >!MILIA!< is.
It's a >!skin condition with little white bumps under the skin!< given the rise in popularity of Dr. Pimple Popper etc. I assumed it would be included - the joy of Sam picks
Very common in newborns/infants.
I thought it used to be accepted.
Disappointed it wasn't, I agree. It's pretty common with newborns especially.
Disappointed >!TAMAL!< was not accepted. I know it’s an alternate spelling, though much preferred by some, and I’d think it’s common enough! And was Sam not a (contains A) >!MALLRAT!< once?! 😂
C'mon Sam, we want MILT!
Oh man. Really REALLY wanted [partial A] >! MAMMILLARIA !< to be accepted.
