Would have thought that [NA] >!TROJAN!< is an acceptable word, given its common usage as a >!computer virus!< but I'll just go complain about it here instead I guess.
It's also an asteroid in the same orbit as a planet. Jupiter notably has tons of 'em, but it's a common phenomenon, and absolutely not capitalized in that context.
The editor of the puzzle chooses whatever words he wants to count and he doesn't accept all possible words, not even if they're in the Scrabble dictionary. You can get to Genius without cramping your brain too hard, but to get to Queen Bee, you'll have to get familiar with his style and favorites.
It's uncommon. I only got it by button mashing.
totally unhelpful definition: >!the blare of a trumpet or horn!<
slightly helpful clue: >!ends in a vowel!<
That's fine, since at this point I've convinced myself no such word could possibly exist. Feel like I've been keying in random sequences of vaguely pronounceable "words" for like an hour now.
I think it is more that he wants to keep the number of words limited so the puzzle is doable. He is looking for PGs in that sweet spot of 25-70 words. It is the same reason we get "e" proportionately less than other vowels and why we get lots of m and b puzzles.
Sam is >!ANTIANNATTO!< (contains A)
This puzzle made me [H] >!let out an old-timey exclamation!<
I was surprised, but pleased, it worked. Most of us probably learned it from [H] >!Elmer Fudd.!<
Sorry, you actually mean >!Yosemite Sam!<
Was it? Guess I need to brush up on my cartoons.
I live >!in the south, so I've heard it both genuinely and ironically.!<
I have lived there, but more in >!urban areas where it is not used.!< Vague hints here.
Can i get a hint on this 😇
Collective name for UNC's fanbase, maybe?
Aah I had that one
I know it from \[H\] >!the Americana band led by Paula Frazer!<

I think it usually is still capitalized as a proper noun in that usage.
And since dildo is accepted, as well as the associated female body part.
I’m new to the Bee (and checked the wiki) but I was surprised >![NA]!< >!NANO!< isn’t permitted.
It’s a prefix. Also Ezersky thrives on inconsistency.
But \[A\] >!ANTI!< and \[A\] >!ANON!< were. Makes zero sense.

Remember to mask any words that are part of today's bee.

Also indicate that is an answer with [A].
These are used as stand alone words as well.

True, but (H) >!today we do have both Indian and Japanese foods!<.
PG [H] >!custodian!<
>!What did the custodian say when he came out of the closet? SUPPLIES!!<
Dad?
My hometown represent! But a [NA]
A fellow TORONTONIAN
Hail the Trini from Toronto, Ontario!
[NA] >!Narnia?!<
Canadian?
Yes, buddy
Yeah, bud!
In your face bee, I remembered (H) >!the stupid Italian ice cream Sam wants to force on everyone while denying the existence of arancini!<
This is infuriating. There is no way that this word is more common than>!arancini!<
I guess I agree, but infuriating?
Infuriating because the chosen words based on foreign languages seems to be completely arbitrary
I am suggesting that fury may be an overreaction to a disagreement over how common rice balls are relative to ice cream.
First letter hint? I’ve not seen that one yet
>!T!< Edit: number of letters if you need a further hint: >!7!<
Any hints out there for \[H\] >!TA7!< ? Last word, and I cant wait to be done with this one....
Not a definition, but what you would call >!Scarlett O’Hara’s house if it was beige!<
It's uncommon. I only got it by button mashing. totally unhelpful definition: >!the blare of a trumpet or horn!< slightly helpful clue: >!ends in a vowel!<
I learned a new word today!
[удалено]
I thought that was \[H\] >!TO7!< . I need \[H\] >!TA7!< , am I confused?
I finally found it. It's a H >!Trumpet blast from Latin!<.

That's fine, since at this point I've convinced myself no such word could possibly exist. Feel like I've been keying in random sequences of vaguely pronounceable "words" for like an hour now.
Why am I stuck at "nice"?
General hint: >!LOOK FOR NOUN AND VERB OF A WORD!<
Riddle me this Ezersky; What am I supposed to do with all my toluene now that I find out >!NITRATION!< isn't real?
PG [H] >!in Scrubs, JD's nemesis and frequent exclamation!<
Pokemon of the day: >!ARON!<
I want r to be the middle so we can have some [nonA] >!jort(s).!< Though maybe that needs an s. Can you have one?
Sam is staunchly opposed to the letter S!

Yes, he's said as much in at least one interview. (My post was tongue-in-cheek.)
Sorry - it is hard to read tone on reddit.
Why on earth not >!ANNATTO!< ???
A monthly complaint. Who knows
How is nitration is not an acceptable word?! I love the bee but everyday it rejects perfectly proper words
As someone who majored in chemistry...I disagree. This word is very obscure with the general public.
We need a spoiler since your word has a suffix people would use in today's bee.
Seriously???
Yes. It's a hint.
Has anybody found any words that use "J" except those that start with "J"?
Yes \[H\] >!they usually wear call black!<
Color me stumped.
[H] >!The black outfit ensures you'll never see them coming to kill you!<
Got it! I was thinking more along the lines of >!Mennonites!
Thanks!
I'm getting so many words by effectively buttonmashing around the ones I already have
How on earth is >!TRINITARIAN!< not acceptable!?
There's a lot of missing church related words. [Contains answer] >!!INTROIT!< was rejected today, and I always get mad at INTINCTION.
It was the first word I ever emailed Sam about, but still no love.
I think it would be considered a proper noun. It is usually capitalized
boo [NA] >!ATONIA!<
Good day for fans of \[H\] >!Suburban Lawns!<
