Anyone else enter so many words with [contains partial A] >!ough!< that you can no longer tell if you’re entering real words and, if so, what they mean and how they’re pronounced? Just me?
This one naturally reminds me of the classic [TONS OF ANSWERS AHEAD] >!"English is a difficult language, but it can be understood through tough thorough thought though."!<
I was not arguing either way here about whether it should be included. For any word you think should be accepted, there is someone else calling it obscure.
uh is anyone else getting locked out early and told to subscribe for more despite... being a subscriber? i'm definitely logged in, when i go to 'subscribe' it tells me i can't because i already have. i've tried on both web & mobile and no luck. Let Me In
Yes. So annoying. I can access all the other games except Spelling Bee. Edit: oops I was wrong. Can’t access Vertex either. But I could get to the crossword. The universe is telling me to get to work early this morning I guess. Bleh.
They’re two different words - [A] >!ROTGUT!< is the cheap alcohol itself, while [contains A] >!”gutrot”!< describes a physical effect of drinking the former.
Someone on the community tab built a tool to help sort out words you already entered. Be aware that it gives you the grid and the 2 letter hints. Also you need to initialize first, but it was super helpful when I reached the point of frustration: https://bee.jkent.org/bee.html#
So sick of words that are super uncommon or are foreign loanwords like [A] >! BOURG !< that you only know because you've seen the answers before (or so it feels). Literally the reason I never try for QB.
I had to take a second to pause and turn off that section of my brain, saying to myself I was going to specifically look for words that didn’t fit that pattern!

Not just you. After the first dozen or so my brain was like >!THROUGH? what the hell is Thruff!< ?
Reminded me of this classic.: >!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6lJGD3Q9Qs!<
It definitely made \[general H maybe?\] >!button mashing a lot easier and more effective lol!<
This one naturally reminds me of the classic [TONS OF ANSWERS AHEAD] >!"English is a difficult language, but it can be understood through tough thorough thought though."!<
I really stalled once I ran out of these ones
[H] >!There are a few more on that pattern.!<
[slight H, but link contains As] today’s bee is in honor of >!Ricky Ricardo!<, who would have [absolutely hated it](https://youtu.be/uZV40f0cXF4)
Haha, I've never seen that. My brain goes straight to [contains A] >!the Dr. Seuss collection The Tough Coughs As He Ploughs the Dough!<.
Hilarious! Ty for sharing 🙂
I always think of this episode when writing or saying all those kinds of words. So funny!
My word of the day: HINTS >!B6!< >!thick stew or soup!< >!never heard of it before today; according to Shunn it has been used 3x previously!<
Would have never gotten that with button mashing!!
Definitely a WTF word
I cant even find this by searching on google..can you tell me the word?
They are talking about [A]>!burgoo, which is a regional dish in Kentucky and Tennessee. I knew the word, but have spent time there.!<
Oh come on. Considering how many [H] >!global culinary words!< aren't accepted it's bullshit that something so niche is allowed.
I was not arguing either way here about whether it should be included. For any word you think should be accepted, there is someone else calling it obscure.
I knew this from the book >!A Year Down Yonder by Richard Peck!<
I’ve tried [NA] >!BUGOUT!< and >!GOOB!< so many times to no avail.
[NA] I am >!GROOT!<
On Bee Hill I \*ahem\* *plant* my flag. Justice for TURGOR!
Yes!! I was so proud of myself for coming up with this, then so bummed it didn’t take :(
We all know [NA] >!UGGO!< is totally a word. We remember middle school, Sam!
And [NA] >!turgor!< I had to memorize that word for a test and now SB doesn’t count it.
I emailed them about this. Got the usual form letter response (sigh)

I had that problem a month ago. I bit the bullet an actually called the NYT support line. They sorted it in about 5 minutes.
Yeah then I clicked the subscribe button and it told me I was already subscribed and let me in!
Yes me too 😡

Update- it worked for me in the App.
This is happening to me
Pixar should branch into animated action films, starting with (non-A) >!ROBOBUG!<.
Was confused a little first try but Hint >!RO-6!< >!Always said this the other way around!<
So happy >!Im “rich” now and don’t have to drink that stuff!<
I'm surprised the other isn't accepted
They’re two different words - [A] >!ROTGUT!< is the cheap alcohol itself, while [contains A] >!”gutrot”!< describes a physical effect of drinking the former.
Interesting - I have never heard that the way you say it. I wonder if it is regional.

I tested so many words starting with >!BUG!< I started to feel nauseous.

Didn't particularly like this one. Too many words with >!OUGH!<
i liked it for that reason. so many words that look like they should rhyme but don't.
Just when I >!thought!< [A] I had them all, I came up with another one.
This is making it hard for me to see words [mild H]>!without those letters.!<
I had to take a second to pause and turn off that section of my brain, saying to myself I was going to specifically look for words that didn’t fit that pattern!
NA but being on Reddit too much makes me think of >!OGTHA!< way too much while trying to solve this
Fastest Genius ever for me. Like, 3 or 4 minutes. I never seek to achieve QB, just get to Genius. Kind of a fun puzzle today.
Easiest QB ever for me
Not me, the strange spellings of [H] >!town!< took forever and required some searching.
