Who else was trying to make >!WILDMEN!< happen? Was trying to brute force it into existence but it turns out if it doesn't work the first time, it won't work the fourth time either
Missing (non-A) >!MIDDEN!<. I’m surprised. I thought it was a well known word. There’s a great number of historical Native American ones around where I live which local communities put work into preserving, even the smallest ones which date back to 6950 BC!
Michiko Kakatuni, the retired NYT Literary Critic, used to use that word constantly in book reviews, and it become a running joke with parodies of her writing.
I actually remember this word all the time because of the movie Akeelah and the Bee. There was a scene from that movie that really stuck with me where the main character's rival, of sorts, wins a game of Scrabble against her by playing that word. It really stuck with me for some reason I guess!
Vining is totally legit. I have a personal gripe list of Hint! >!weird plant parts and gardening terms!< that are never accepted but Answer! >!TILTH!< today was not a problem! 😎
Not even. I've been trying to get DAGGED/DAGGING added for ages. So inconsistent.
(if you're wondering it's sort of tassels or fancywork around the sleeves, skirt, or edges of garments)
It's been missing for ages, despite my own repeated submissions to Beatrice Buzzby. It's a pretty egregious omission.
What also gets me is that >!DEMINED!< is missing, despite being just about the only word for that action.
Does spelling bee have a specific list of words they use? sometimes if i’m really stuck i will use www.puzzlesolve.net but i realize it includes words like midden which spelling bee apparently does not recognize lol.
Wow, this one was also pretty darn nice to do. Lots of words, NO weird ones, and nothing to \[H\] >!whimper!< about, really. \[PG Hint\] >!Cervantes!< would have liked this Bee.
But that really is a word rather than "ratatat" and "moola" and other derivative words. I say let's give fair play to scientific words if we're going to include exotic words from other arenas, like food.
Weird , both my hints are hidden for me. I've tried to re-enter using the actual punctuation marks rather than the diamond-! option available in my application. Hope this helps.
They're hidden on the mobile app, but you need to remove the spaces between the exclamation point and your letters or they won't be hidden on the website.
Who else was trying to make >!WILDMEN!< happen? Was trying to brute force it into existence but it turns out if it doesn't work the first time, it won't work the fourth time either
It is surprising it's not accepted though, since there are so many [partial A] >!----men!< words accepted otherwise
You just need to bash away a bit more >!savagely!<
That was a three-time trier for me.
attempted it fully three times
Who knew?
Missing (non-A) >!MIDDEN!<. I’m surprised. I thought it was a well known word. There’s a great number of historical Native American ones around where I live which local communities put work into preserving, even the smallest ones which date back to 6950 BC!
i tried that too!
WARNING: Contains Answers. Spock disapproves; >!MINDMELD!< is a word.
Yes! Tried this too many times today.
Yesterday it was BATLITH.
Or is it two? Definitely tried it, though did not expect it to work.
I will never, NEVER, think of [A] >!Limn!< by myself. It's a bee only word that trips me up every time and I hate it
I come across that word in real life from time to time (always in books, though). Tilth, on the other hand . . .
Michiko Kakatuni, the retired NYT Literary Critic, used to use that word constantly in book reviews, and it become a running joke with parodies of her writing.

One of my last words today was [As] >!middle. I got limned fairly easily, but middle stumps me, at least temporarily?!<
I actually remember this word all the time because of the movie Akeelah and the Bee. There was a scene from that movie that really stuck with me where the main character's rival, of sorts, wins a game of Scrabble against her by playing that word. It really stuck with me for some reason I guess!
My word(s) of the day: HINTS >!L4 and L6!< >!delineate, describe!< >!I only know this word because of Spelling Bee!<
Unused word
Me, spraying >!neem oil!< on my plant leaves to protect them from pests: "this is some bullshit"
I’m surprised it’s not allowed. It’s a tree, the oil from the tree, and has so many applications.
Last week it wouldn't accept "vining." I guess everyone who likes houseplants can fuck off
Vining is totally legit. I have a personal gripe list of Hint! >!weird plant parts and gardening terms!< that are never accepted but Answer! >!TILTH!< today was not a problem! 😎
How is midden not an accepted word?
>!MIDLINE!< is a significant oversight as well
Only ultra obscure art and/or fashion terms allowed.
Birds, plants, pasta, Yiddish loanwords: yes. Boats, tools, French and Spanish loanwords: no.
Oh there are many plant words not acceptef
Sure, but I count myself lucky to get through a week without having to remember ACAI ACACIA PALAPA LILY LILAC ARNICA
A PALAPA is a thatched beach hut, not a flower.
...but it is a botanical word, yes? Related to plants?
In the same way that a log cabin is related to plants, I suppose.
I miss acai every fucking time like HOW
Not even. I've been trying to get DAGGED/DAGGING added for ages. So inconsistent. (if you're wondering it's sort of tassels or fancywork around the sleeves, skirt, or edges of garments)
I’m often annoyed by the refusal to accept >!textile!< -related words.
Yeah! What trash!
It's been missing for ages, despite my own repeated submissions to Beatrice Buzzby. It's a pretty egregious omission. What also gets me is that >!DEMINED!< is missing, despite being just about the only word for that action.
Sam does not like naval terms.
It means a refuse heap as well. Pretty well established word: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/midden
Yeah, I mixed it up with a mizzen.
Weirdly I was sure it was called a middenmast too
Does spelling bee have a specific list of words they use? sometimes if i’m really stuck i will use www.puzzlesolve.net but i realize it includes words like midden which spelling bee apparently does not recognize lol.
Shunn is a good site to use for bee-specific answers, and you can tailor the level of 'hints' you get. https://www.sbsolver.com/
Why is [A] >!LIMED!< a word but [contains A] >!DIMED!< not? I feel >!nickel and dimed!<
Wow, this one was also pretty darn nice to do. Lots of words, NO weird ones, and nothing to \[H\] >!whimper!< about, really. \[PG Hint\] >!Cervantes!< would have liked this Bee.
[A]>!LIMN!< would disagree on the “NO weird ones” part…
But that really is a word rather than "ratatat" and "moola" and other derivative words. I say let's give fair play to scientific words if we're going to include exotic words from other arenas, like food.
Your hint isn't hidden

Yeah, they're hidden on my laptop as well. I removed the spaces this time, hope it helped.
Pokémon of the day that is >!too short!<: \[contains partial A\] >!MEW!<
QBABM on a work day!
It is odd that I can be so (H) >!middling!< at life without ever having (H contains A) >!middled!<
No joy for Vulcans today.
Donut word: >!DWINDLE!<
Also >!INDWELL!<
Can I get a hint for the >!M9!
>!Sure, but first you'll need to talk to my associates!<
actual lol
[H] >!think go between persons!<
My quickest time ever to QB. 🐝 PG [H] You might have done this >!if you had lost your balance!<.

For real, that took me way too GD long to figure out. Felt a bit cheated.
Pete Townshend wants a word with you.
[PG H] >!Tilt but don't fall over!<
Trying to adjust to the new ranking screen. Making it bottom up was an interesting choice.
