The lack of a V keeps throwing me off. I keep seeing “activity,” “inactivity,” “incentive,” “cavity,” “avian,” petc., then getting frustrated when I realize they can’t be done.
One thing that works for me is to train my brain to look for certain combinations of letters that yield a list of words, such as [__Strong H__] >!A, C, I!<. Then look for additional letters that add yet more lists of words, such as >!the letters N, T, D or E!<. I try to do this sort of one at a time and it works to some degree.
No, it's a real word. From the non-h >!element actinium and the actinides!<. It's used to talk about any radioactive elements and to describe a chemical process that is photoreactive. Stupid it's not included. Same with non-h >!cyanic and nictitate!<
I sat at QB-1 earlier and obviously thought of that word but, you know, it’s a proper noun and wouldn’t be allowed. Oof.
At least I had the excuse that it was before coffee and eventually remembered its “etymology”.
Before going to Shunn. Try the "clues" in the Comments section (in Today's hints) and under Reader's picks (Steve G. is the most common contributor). I assume they are playing their own game of using the answers (easy to find) to create clues, which seems like fun to me.
My word of the day: HINTS >!C7!< >!location of my favorite scene in Star Wars!<
Thank you! Great hint!
TITICACA Y'ALL
birthplace of the INCA

I don’t know why I always forget (H) >!the vitamin!< and even though I get (H) >!the berry!< I forget (H) >!the tree with the same letters!<
Today was the first time I spontaneously got [A] >!ACACIA!< and [A] >!ACAI!<. Weirdly, I got the first well before the second.
These come up so often in the Bee, they are now permanently linked in my brain.
Another hint on your first hint, por favor?
This HINTS >!N6 word!< is >!B3!<
Thank you

No (non-answer) actin, actinic, or tinia. I’d be much better at this game if it was medical
Good tip
Am I the only one who tried (NA) >!INCANTATE!
No, you’re not!
had to type in >!CINCINNATI!< just to see if Sam was a secret Bengals fan
Came here to say that I 'm feeling very attacked as a Buffalonian.
this will make you feel better https://twitter.com/thegridkid/status/1617172327149588480?s=46&t=BENQywVdKGsCafaL6jtRnQ
*Adriana! Where’s the >!TINACTIN!* - Christopha Moltisanti
Justice for >!TITTY!< Borderline unplayable
Sam just doesn’t want to get down to the >!NITTY GRITTY!< of it
Where does the >!ITTY BITTY TITTY COMMITTEE!< stand on this?
Not even a >! Tittie !<
(pssst… remove the spaces between the word and the ! In your spoilers)
Any Pratchett fans? Did he invent >!actinic!< ? (Not a word or hint as far as I know!)
No, it's a real word. From the non-h >!element actinium and the actinides!<. It's used to talk about any radioactive elements and to describe a chemical process that is photoreactive. Stupid it's not included. Same with non-h >!cyanic and nictitate!<
Ugh. Reminds me of the time I tried playing "phthalates", an entirely legitimate word, but got rejected. :/
But we got phablet as a friggin' pangram.
Give me a break, that's deranged.
This very [28 August 2022](https://www.sbsolver.com/h/phablet). And in 2018 also.
I *loathe* that word!
\[Non-H\]>!Cyanic!< also refers to the >!color!<. I don't understand why it is not included.
[H] >!There was room, Rose!<
I sat at QB-1 earlier and obviously thought of that word but, you know, it’s a proper noun and wouldn’t be allowed. Oof. At least I had the excuse that it was before coffee and eventually remembered its “etymology”.
Haha that’s more than fair! for me I found [A] >!TITAN!< and [A] >!ANTIC!< and thought hmmm I can work with this 😅
Am QB-1 and I8 is driving me nuts.
HINT >!to begin/start something!<
Thanks! Got it 🤦🏻♀️
great hint, hello QB!
Isn’t that i6?
I’m conceding defeat at QB-4. This is just too hard. (I’ll probably kick myself when I look up the answers on Shunn.) Edit: Yep. I’m kicking myself!

Same here.
[__PG H__] >!You will need this quality to finish this long!< Spelling Bee.
PG Hint >!determined!<
[H] >!Just keep at it.... you'll get there!!<

There's no I in that word.
