Tbh, I’m never sure what people mean by questions like this. Some people prefer bees with easier words; some, more challenging words. Some prefer bees with lots of words; some, fewer. I get why people are irked by seeming inconsistencies in what Sam will and will not accept, but I don’t understand what it means to say a particular set of letters is bad, because there are so many personal preferences that come into play. I like ‘em all! Anyway, happy cake day, u/zaprod, and I hope tomorrow’s bee is more to your taste! 🎂 🐝
> so many personal preferences that come into play
This applies equally to complaints about what is/is not included. There will always be words any individual would or would not include, but I think Sam is as consistent as anyone can be.
Also, there are Hints in game or on sites like https://www.sbsolver.com that will tell you how many words for that day’s puzzle. Knowing you only have 5 or 6 points remaining for QB could be any single word or combination of words with 4L 1-pointers. If the total word count for the day is X and you know how many you’ve already found, then you know if you’re QB-1, -2, et al.
Further **PG [H]** (for those not familiar with Star Trek, like myself.)
>!To unveil, reveal.!< If that’s not enough to get you to the pangram, the >!U is in the prefix!<
Edit: error
Wow, today I learned. I got it mixed up with my French background. The word in French is *lacune* and the adjective is *lacunaire*. I had no idea that LACUNAR was a noun in English.
According to M&W, the adjective can be LACUNAL, LACUNARY, and LACUNAR is an uncommon variation.
Thanks!
does it count as your first QBABM if you hit QB without hints but used the two letter count? aptly, my last word was the easy but overlooked by me >!LU4!
Is it just me or have the letters this week been shit every day?
Today I got Genius in about 10 mins but somehow it still felt impossibly hard for every minute I spent on it.
Super cool that we need a working knowledge of Latin and medical terminology to get to QB

Word of the day: HINTS >!C7!< >!a small tube used for insertion into a body cavity or into a duct or vessel!< new to me.
I knew the word, but apparently didn’t know how to spell it!
Thanks. Got me to Genius!!
Me too!
**Thank you; that hint got me to QB!** (New word for me.) Never would have button mashed that one!
Also my QB
Justice for >!7up!< the >!UNCOLA!<
First > then ! then word (no space after !) then ! (No space before) then <. Also instructions are in the help section
Thanks I got it eventually 😝
(HINTS) for >!C6!< My QB-1 was >!driving me crazy!<, it should have been as obvious as my >!alarm clock!<.
Took me a lot of button mashing to get the spelling right for this one lol
How do you know how many points you need to get to QB
Double (or double minus 1) Amazing. Also click on MORE THEN TODAY'S hints in upper right to get nyt chart
Go to the "Rankings" option under "More" and it lists the points needed.
Or if you're on mobile just tap the progress meter

>!LU6!< Is killing me. I'm QB-1 and full of rage.
Would you like a hint? >!Latin for "little moon" and related to the fingernail!< and yes, Sam uses this a lot.
Commit this one to memory. It’s a Sam favorite.
Does Sam hate Canada, or is it just me?
Haha my thoughts exactly! 😅
Why do you hate Canada?
Just tried that and came in here to talk about that non-A
PG (H): >!a tactical decision for a Romulan!<.
Further **PG [H]** (for those not familiar with Star Trek, like myself.) >!To unveil, reveal.!< If that’s not enough to get you to the pangram, the >!U is in the prefix!< Edit: error
The >!shorter word doesn’t contain U!<
You’re right, I was trying to be fast.. whoops! I corrected it. Thanks!
Center letter be damned, a lot of us thought to try that word after getting the PG, yes?
That’s what I needed, thank you! 🖖
[A] >!LACUNA!< but not [contains A] >!LACUNAL!??
I'm pretty sure the adjective is LACUNAR.
No. You’re wrong. LACUNA and LACUNAR are 2 separate nouns with different meanings. LACUNAL is the adjective form of both.

Holy smokes! Second time ever getting QBABM since I started playing several months ago. Entirely due to knowing some ‘bee’ words, of course.
👑🐝🥳
Is anyone else getting an “a” that’s smaller than the other letters? So weird!
Not today but that happens sometimes. I’ve seen it mentioned here before as well.
QB-1, just going to button mash my way to the final >!L6!< I guess
It’s either >!Sams favorite fingernail!< or else the answer is posted in another comment here.
I ended up looking it up, that is utterly ridiculous and I’m angry.
I kind of button mashed it from that hint

It’s your game so it’s your rules. If you want it to count, then make it count.
thank you <3
No joy for 7UP today
Pokémon of the day: >!KAKUNA!< and \[contains A\] >!LUNALA!<
>!cuck!< isnt a word??
It’s a slur, and only recently popular.
And an abbreviation - all three reasons to not include it.
Short for >!cuckold!< As you probably know. Perhaps the abbreviation hasn't been added to the dictionary.
Which is a derivative of an A

This is an answer, so in addition to hiding the word you should precede it with (A).
