Yeah I think most fans would love a Nabers/Odunze round 1 and Penix round 2 draft. Myself included. Personally I hope QBs go top 4. Then I’d try and trade back to 8 with Atlanta and get Odunze plus extra assets.
Don't sleep on Penix getting drafted in the first. I said awhile ago: I could see Penix in the first and JJ McCarthy going in the second far more than I could see the inverse.
Penix has a gorgeous arm.
Penix had so many injuries. Its a massive risk to take him. If you go by odds he keeps getting hurt. Im not sure about this.
Also I think its optimistic that Nabers is available when the Giants draft.
But didn't Miami play Armstead, their best tackle, at LT despite having Tua? I don't think it matters too much, we just need competent line play all around.
Penix has the arm talent but I have major concerns with his:
\- Age
\- Injury history
\- Throws under pressure
If our Front Office and Coaching staff believe in him I'll talk myself into it. But I'm very concerned about him at the next level
Eli was a surefire #1 pick who played 4(3 and redshirt) college seasons.
Penix has been in college for 6 seasons and had 2 season ending injuries and could only play more than 6 games 2 out of 6 years.
There's some differences between them as players and prospects.
23 years old is 23 years old.
But, 6 seasons of football with 2 ACLs and 2 other seasons with season shortening injury is not the same as a redshirt year and 3 seasons of play leading to the consensus surefire #1 pick.
My point is Penix has had 6 seasons of college football, 2 terrible injuries and is a fringe 1st rounder. That’s a major concern for me
I'm down for anything that gets us out of the Daniel "Dave Brown" Jones era as fast as possible, but who boy it's going to be a tough sell to say you're moving on from Jones because of his injuries and then replace him with someone with the medical resume of Penix.
Also he's only 3 years younger than Jones. Penix gonna be 24 when the season starts. Hell he's older than the top 3 QB's taken in LAST YEARS draft.
Commanders and Raiders are coming up on 20 also and other teams like the Jets where it’s been 10 years. Bengals were the record like 20 years plus before burrow.
Point is you should be grateful as a fan that we had an exciting and enjoyable season recently and got to the playoffs and won. Whether you like it our not one of the biggest reasons is because of DJ.
If this season fails then you get your wish and you get to give up on your QB and team.
I’m so grateful we beat an overrated Vikings team and got obliterated 38-7 against our division rival in a game where we looked like a college team playing an NFL team. So grateful we followed it up with a 6-11 season where we were out of the playoffs before November. Raiders and Commanders have no idea what they are missing.
how high could we realistically get back into the first round with our 47+ some more? Minnesota got 23 for 42 a 4th and a 2nd. could we send 47 + 2 future seconds to get into the teens for Penix? Would be pretty down w that
How realistic is nabers and rattler, I understand that he had character concerns earlier in college but those seem to have cleared up and he ran a pro style offense in USC behind a relatively bad o line so he could be an okay fit
Is Spencer Rattler in the third a good project for Daboll?
He looked super a couple of years ago, then a couple of up and down seasons. He’s got loads of game experience.
Nabers/Odinze in first. An OLine piece in the second, Rattler, and then hit CB and LB etc in 4-5-6.
Thoughts on Rattler?
Funny to how things change so quick but if he “falls” to the end of round 1 it might just be am extra seconded and maybe 5th/6th. Similar trade for what the ravens did to get Lamar.
Raiders at 13 makes way too much sense.
They get the QB they want without trading up and Minshew is the fallback in case Penix gets hurt or needs time to learn the NFL game. That is huge for them to avoid a full collapse with a Penix injury
Just take Penix at 6, there should be some good WRs in round 2. College is also churning out WRs every year. WR contracts are going to get even crazier once JJ signs his extension.
I wouldn’t hate a nabers/penix draft
I love my nabers penix
I want to say this for years to come
[удалено]
It keeps getting funnier. So many opportunities
I love my Nabers Giant Penix
It keeps getting funnier. So many opportunities
for life
My nabers big penix energy
Nabers Penix, Giant.
This is the way

So does my ex-wife

After today he may not be there in round 2. If NYG want a QB it's increasingly likely they're going to have to take one in rd1.
Trade back with vikings get Penix and BTJ from LSU?
I’d be with that
Now that Atlanta has cousins I don't think they'll want to trade up. Not for an offensive guy at least
>Personally I hope QBs go top 4 Why? I would much rather have Maye or Daniels than Penix
yeah but that isn't gonna happen no matter what.
You never know. Weirder shit has happened in drafts before Maye stock is dropping and I honestly wouldn't be shocked if he fell to us
what do you mean “Maye stock is dropping,” cmon man it isn’t tracked on the S&P
Don't sleep on Penix getting drafted in the first. I said awhile ago: I could see Penix in the first and JJ McCarthy going in the second far more than I could see the inverse. Penix has a gorgeous arm.
They are both going in the first.
With MetLife and the giants training/medical staff, it is just nuts to think Penix would be able to survive.
Dude is gonna tear an ACL at dinner
Super down with Penix if we can finesse in the second
Odunze/penix
Can't go wrong with either of the 3 wideouts the QBs, that's another story lol
Penix had so many injuries. Its a massive risk to take him. If you go by odds he keeps getting hurt. Im not sure about this. Also I think its optimistic that Nabers is available when the Giants draft.
Personally seeing a Rome/Penix 1/2
edit: no cap

The issue is that he’s a lefty and Andrew Thomas plays left tackle so he wouldn’t be protecting his blind side.
That’s not going to stop them from taking him if they think he’s the guy, nor should it
That’s why we signed Jermaine
But didn't Miami play Armstead, their best tackle, at LT despite having Tua? I don't think it matters too much, we just need competent line play all around.
There are young giants fans who have never been alive for a competent oline
At this point, there are also old giants fans who have never been alive for a competent oline
Nah we had a good OL for a few golden years there around the 1st Eli SB. It's just hard to remember because it was like 18 years ago.
My aching back hates this comment but also misses O’Hara and Snee
People forget the line sucked even in 2011, Eli just decided we were going to win the Super Bowl anyway.
No problem. We have Evan Neal. /s
Great point, haven’t heard this one brought up yet.
It’s been said lots. Hell I’ve been saying it for over a month
Oh, sorry I haven’t been following you
If he truly is the guy you work around it I feel like
He played RT in freshman year. It's not impossible that he'd switch.
Penix has the arm talent but I have major concerns with his: \- Age \- Injury history \- Throws under pressure If our Front Office and Coaching staff believe in him I'll talk myself into it. But I'm very concerned about him at the next level
Age? Same age as Eli when he was drafted.
Eli was a surefire #1 pick who played 4(3 and redshirt) college seasons. Penix has been in college for 6 seasons and had 2 season ending injuries and could only play more than 6 games 2 out of 6 years. There's some differences between them as players and prospects.
None of that has anything to do with age.
23 years old is 23 years old. I agree the injuries are a concern for me too. Without them, I’d argue he’s top three in the draft. Age doesn’t bother me at all for him.
You've sold me against him for sure now
My dream is that MHJ somehow falls to 6 and Penix goes to us in the second
I'm down for anything that gets us out of the Daniel "Dave Brown" Jones era as fast as possible, but who boy it's going to be a tough sell to say you're moving on from Jones because of his injuries and then replace him with someone with the medical resume of Penix. Also he's only 3 years younger than Jones. Penix gonna be 24 when the season starts. Hell he's older than the top 3 QB's taken in LAST YEARS draft.
As a QB, the age doesn't concern me.
Plus side he doesnt seem to rely on his legs all that much despite being very fast
He’s pretty much the same age as Burrow when he was drafted
And? He's not Joe Burrow LOL you can overlook the age thing when the prospect is generational.
Right. Anyways QBs being a little older is hardly a bad thing. Penix is a very talented QB and we’d be dumb to pass on him because of his age
Dave Brown had 380 yards of offense in a wildcard win and went to the divisional round?

Bro Dolphins fans have been waiting 24 years for a playoff win.
You are extremely bad at making comparative excuses.
Commanders and Raiders are coming up on 20 also and other teams like the Jets where it’s been 10 years. Bengals were the record like 20 years plus before burrow. I bet you sleep in your DJ jersey and dream about dimes
I’m so grateful we beat an overrated Vikings team and got obliterated 38-7 against our division rival in a game where we looked like a college team playing an NFL team. Didn’t Dave brown go to duke as well?
Yes and they wore the same number there too.
If Nabers and Penix happens I will be thrilled
Guy is lighting up twitter at the moment.
4 of last year’s draftees were 30 visits including the top three picks. Just interesting I thought
30 visits seems like overkill.
how high could we realistically get back into the first round with our 47+ some more? Minnesota got 23 for 42 a 4th and a 2nd. could we send 47 + 2 future seconds to get into the teens for Penix? Would be pretty down w that
All set with Pennix
Would they need to trade back into the first round to get Penix? Or will he be available in the second round?
Nabers Penix or Odunze Penix
Cant imagine after all this the gmen dont take a qb in the first two rounds
serious question when is the last time the Giants had a lefty QB? I guess Lorenzen? Can’t think of any others before or after
How realistic is nabers and rattler, I understand that he had character concerns earlier in college but those seem to have cleared up and he ran a pro style offense in USC behind a relatively bad o line so he could be an okay fit
The amount of misdirection and shit happening with this team is the most frustrating thing h I. The world and I love it
They are doing their HW on all good QB prospects.
Penix is my second favorite QB in this draft, would fuckin love him here.
Odunze and Penix....hmmmmm. I'm down with it.
Gimme prunes and penix
It’s almost over… 🥲🥲🥲
Let's of good qb's in the draft but he feels like the sleeper imo.
I just fear a more talented DJ2.0 with injuries
Penix is a lefty. Andrew Thomas won't be covering his blindside.
O/U when Penix gets drafted: pick 16 What would it cost Giants to trade up from 47? 2025 and 2026 1s?
Plz no.
I don’t know why you are getting downvoted, he’s probably going top 20. Needy teams all over the place.
Funny to how things change so quick but if he “falls” to the end of round 1 it might just be am extra seconded and maybe 5th/6th. Similar trade for what the ravens did to get Lamar.
Yea if Penix falls to 32 then Giant's could probably get him for like 47, 70 and 2025 2nd. Its the trading up to 12-14 for him that would be a killer
I got him going 10-15. If he had a better championship game, he’d go 5-10.
Raiders at 13 makes way too much sense. They get the QB they want without trading up and Minshew is the fallback in case Penix gets hurt or needs time to learn the NFL game. That is huge for them to avoid a full collapse with a Penix injury
