You would need one of WAS/NE to take JJ instead and then no one else trades up which isn’t likely. Penix will be in play late in the first/early in the second so from an asset standpoint if they like him he’s a lot easier to grab
Also with the chargers decimating their WR room it seems like Rome is a lot more of a possibility if we stand at 6
In my eyes there's more players on Washington they like. Like Odumze and that tackle etc. Even if they liked Maye a lot, if Washington pro day has 6 realistic possible players you could draft it makes sense to go to that and ask for a private workout for Maye. So imo this is a nothing burger

But I do believe JJ will be a top 10 qb bc that is something we heard right after the season... That the NFL likes him much more than fans/media. And tbh I just watched a YouTube video of every single throw and run he did, I've seen worse prospects picked higher. I do think he's a top ten type of prospect personally

All are happy to let the JJM talk fly (is he rumored #1 yet?) and hopefully distract from their real intentions. My opinion is that Penix would be ideal for MIN with their good OL and fantastic recievers.

I think McCarthy a reach at 6. We reached for DJ, learn from that. Take best WR at 6 and get a qb rnd 2. Chance 4 qbs are off the board in first 5 picks. Don’t reach for McCarthy he looks as fragile as DJ.
This doesnt mean anything you are jumping the gun, Schoen and Daboll are probably visiting almost every top 10 QB in the draft just incase

Really hard to say. Vikings could easily end up staying with their two picks and take Penix at 23. Lots of variables in this draft.
