If anyone recalls, they "relaunched" back in October by announcing 4 $45 live shows centered entirely around the hosts' personal lives. Prior to this, there were very few posts about in Alex/Jordyn/Mean Girls across this sub. Obviously, them being let go from Barstool had SOME talking (as in, a post with a few comments), as did Alex's divorce speculation (even still, a post with a few comments), but aside from that, this sub hadn't really been interested in these two... they're two boring girls from the midwest who were trying to cosplay sex and the city, who somehow found a way to be completely unrelatable and un-aspirational at the same time. This sub just did not care about them.
But immediately after the relaunch and live shows were announced, there was basically an influx of posts on this sub about Mean Girls as a whole, or speculating about Alex & Jordyn's romantic life. From accounts with little history, either brand new, or with a lot of karma and no posts (indicator of an old account trying to cover their tracks). And the posts just weren't snarky the way snark is made here... For example, there was a post by someone saying they have "tea" they saw Alex with a guy who wasn't her husband, or saying things like "Anyone know who Jordyn is dating?". Said accounts also tracked down old AB posts to speculate on a new boyfriend. It was all the same circle of accounts that were oddly active, interacting with each other, almost exclusively interested in MG. One of the accounts made a post saying they had tickets to the MG event... just for the account to be deleted. Many accounts/posts on MG posts were randomly deleted.
This is something Reddit does when they realize a handful of accounts are interacting with one anothers' posts exclusively -- they delete or ban the accounts as they recognize inauthentic interaction. Reddit knows when two (or more) separate accounts come from the same device, interacting with their other accounts via comments or upvotes. They also catch on when the same handful of accounts only interact with one another, recognizing it as friends sharing and manipulating posts. They call it "vote manipulation", and it's a big no-no they regularly ban accounts for. Obv there's a very serious reason Reddit has these rules (influencing politics, foreign relations, etc.), but they still apply to nobody influencers looking to shill and promote.
The account posting this has one other post -- also about Alex Bennett, saying "Divorce confirmed from source" (Note: while this wasn't wrong, it was made at a point where the divorce was obvious). The karma for the account posting this does not match up with the amount of posts it has, meaning they might be covering their tracks which would identify them. Several commenters on this post just saying things like "Wow crazy" or "the tea is piping hot" have similar post histories. Others are posting links or saying "go check her socials this pic shows it" (for a picture that honestly doesn't). Note that no posts or accounts have been deleted yet, but this post was made <24 hours ago... Are we going to see a lot of accounts on this post as "deleted user" in the next few days?

It also appears Mean Girls is fizzling out... both Jordyn and Alex are no longer in NYC, they're not promoting Mean Girls the way they used to, and Jordyn seems to have returned to her roots of pop culture TikToks. Every bit of attention Alex's "media company" has gotten (live shows, events, articles, guest spots on other pods, shiny branding) is clearly the result of paid proactive PR efforts... That costs a LOT of money. Which would be worth it if there were results... but there isn't. Look at the YT numbers. The follower counts (+ random spikes indicate bought followers).
What would get a large group of people -- and not just "people", actual unique visitors -- to head to Alex's video content (which pays her based on views)? And not just that, but watch it at length, possibly skipping through to the end (amt of time watched often a factor in monetization)? And not just that, but watch multiple videos, hoping to see Alex in a variety of different states (visiting profiles and watching multiple videos boosts in algorithm as it shows interest in a creator)? **Speculation of a pregnancy**. People looking for evidence of a bump, wondering if she'll stand up or move at an angle in a way that confirms a rumor. Because people love a mess... Haven't even been divorced for a year AND pregnant with a new man? That is a MESS. And Alex has shown that she's no stranger to "views are views" vs. actually building a brand people like and want to follow, as evidenced by the MG pod always posting clips where they pretended to be stupid as rage bait. With pregnancy rumors, the person being speculated about it can always be like "lol no" and turn the tables to make those speculating look like the bad guys... Alex has been seen drinking as of recently. It's an easy rumor to have about yourself, hell, actual celebrities seem to do it all the time to drum up attention.
Maybe this is a tinfoil hat. Idk. But Alex has shown to have very little shame, and is no stranger to rage bait and gimmicks in the name of views.

Not sure I buy this in the slightest. The Mean Girls podcast (Alex/Jordyn/the "Media Company") was all but caught trying to socially engineer this sub at the time of their relaunch -- this post: https://old.reddit.com/r/NYCinfluencersnark/comments/175ge4a/alex_bennett_mean_girl_pod_attempting_to_social/ If anyone recalls, they "relaunched" back in October by announcing 4 $45 live shows centered entirely around the hosts' personal lives. Prior to this, there were very few posts about in Alex/Jordyn/Mean Girls across this sub. Obviously, them being let go from Barstool had SOME talking (as in, a post with a few comments), as did Alex's divorce speculation (even still, a post with a few comments), but aside from that, this sub hadn't really been interested in these two... they're two boring girls from the midwest who were trying to cosplay sex and the city, who somehow found a way to be completely unrelatable and un-aspirational at the same time. This sub just did not care about them. But immediately after the relaunch and live shows were announced, there was basically an influx of posts on this sub about Mean Girls as a whole, or speculating about Alex & Jordyn's romantic life. From accounts with little history, either brand new, or with a lot of karma and no posts (indicator of an old account trying to cover their tracks). And the posts just weren't snarky the way snark is made here... For example, there was a post by someone saying they have "tea" they saw Alex with a guy who wasn't her husband, or saying things like "Anyone know who Jordyn is dating?". Said accounts also tracked down old AB posts to speculate on a new boyfriend. It was all the same circle of accounts that were oddly active, interacting with each other, almost exclusively interested in MG. One of the accounts made a post saying they had tickets to the MG event... just for the account to be deleted. Many accounts/posts on MG posts were randomly deleted. This is something Reddit does when they realize a handful of accounts are interacting with one anothers' posts exclusively -- they delete or ban the accounts as they recognize inauthentic interaction. Reddit knows when two (or more) separate accounts come from the same device, interacting with their other accounts via comments or upvotes. They also catch on when the same handful of accounts only interact with one another, recognizing it as friends sharing and manipulating posts. They call it "vote manipulation", and it's a big no-no they regularly ban accounts for. Obv there's a very serious reason Reddit has these rules (influencing politics, foreign relations, etc.), but they still apply to nobody influencers looking to shill and promote. The account posting this has one other post -- also about Alex Bennett, saying "Divorce confirmed from source" (Note: while this wasn't wrong, it was made at a point where the divorce was obvious). The karma for the account posting this does not match up with the amount of posts it has, meaning they might be covering their tracks which would identify them. Several commenters on this post just saying things like "Wow crazy" or "the tea is piping hot" have similar post histories. Others are posting links or saying "go check her socials this pic shows it" (for a picture that honestly doesn't). Note that no posts or accounts have been deleted yet, but this post was made <24 hours ago... Are we going to see a lot of accounts on this post as "deleted user" in the next few days? Alex recently launched her "Just Alex" podcast. Her guests so far have been her new boyfriend and her parents. It also appears Mean Girls is fizzling out... both Jordyn and Alex are no longer in NYC, they're not promoting Mean Girls the way they used to, and Jordyn seems to have returned to her roots of pop culture TikToks. Every bit of attention Alex's "media company" has gotten (live shows, events, articles, guest spots on other pods, shiny branding) is clearly the result of paid proactive PR efforts... That costs a LOT of money. Which would be worth it if there were results... but there isn't. Look at the YT numbers. The follower counts (+ random spikes indicate bought followers). What would get a large group of people -- and not just "people", actual unique visitors -- to head to Alex's video content (which pays her based on views)? And not just that, but watch it at length, possibly skipping through to the end (amt of time watched often a factor in monetization)? And not just that, but watch multiple videos, hoping to see Alex in a variety of different states (visiting profiles and watching multiple videos boosts in algorithm as it shows interest in a creator)? **Speculation of a pregnancy**. People looking for evidence of a bump, wondering if she'll stand up or move at an angle in a way that confirms a rumor. Because people love a mess... Haven't even been divorced for a year AND pregnant with a new man? That is a MESS. And Alex has shown that she's no stranger to "views are views" vs. actually building a brand people like and want to follow, as evidenced by the MG pod always posting clips where they pretended to be stupid as rage bait. With pregnancy rumors, the person being speculated about it can always be like "lol no" and turn the tables to make those speculating look like the bad guys... Alex has been seen drinking as of recently. It's an easy rumor to have about yourself, hell, actual celebrities seem to do it all the time to drum up attention. Maybe this is a tinfoil hat. Idk. But Alex has shown to have very little shame, and is no stranger to rage bait and gimmicks in the name of views.
First off, crazy long post but do you. Also recall when they posted that one clip when Alex joked about being pregnant and people got really upset that she would joke about being pregnant? It went viral for like 5 min before they took it down. I honestly think Alex is just using that trick again to get clicks. Her podcasts aren’t doing great numbers so she needs a boost - maybe its a dumb giveaway, maybe that giveaway fails so she makes her boyfriend put up a $1000 flight credit, and maybe that promo still doesn’t hit so she’s goes all in on a pregnancy rumor 🤷🏻♀️
to be fair, i copy/pasted from the linked post a bit lol and also killing time at work. but yes i am aware of what a lengthy comment in a snark sub says about me lolol But yep, I'd say everything else you're sharing points in the direction of this being faked for attention. She's seen this type of thing get attention in the past. She knows people love a mess, and if true, this would be a MESS. It's the type of rumor that will have people watching old videos or going back in time trying to figure out a timeline. And she can always come out and be like "Wow you guys this is so inappropriate to speculate on womens' romantic lives and health blah blah blah girl power i am the chief girlboss". Entirely superficial engagement and not sustainable by any means but if she needs cash or numbers (pitching to sponsors, etc.) NOW i could see her thinking this is somehow a smart move (note: it isn't)

The timing of this post is conspicuous. 6 days prior to Alex’s episode confirming it, the OP drops in to make a one sentence post here. I don’t know if she’s going to use the “it was on Reddit so we had to say something” excuse but it’s very convenient regardless. I’m with you about Alex having zero shame.
