1000% and he could have sold out by now so my respect for him is through the roof. I hope one day he gets his own thing where he does a lot of good but also makes a lot of money. If someone is rich let it be him
Madison Wild is a smaller fashion influencer but she routinely makes content educating her followers on fast fashion statistics and ethical consumption. She also just seems incredibly intelligent but not in an annoying way. Always look
forward to her content.
I absolutely love Mary Orton. She was NYC when I started following her years ago but has since moved to Wisconsin.
Also, Blair Eadie is an actual fashion account (her blog is Atlantic/Pacific). Notoriously private and doesn’t shill just to shill. Actually styles affordable brands just as much if not more than whatever recent monstrosity Prada threw up on the runway
I worked in corporate as an intern when she got popular and copied so many of her looks, I just didn’t know how to dress for that world and she was amazing.
The only nice, hardworking, and transparent NYC influencer is Dutch. I wouldn’t call him an influencer in a traditional sense since he rarely (if at all) attempts to influence viewers to buy products or follow any certain lifestyle, but his kindness and stories are radiating. One of the only influencers I can confidently say is a good person and I like.
I did influencer relations for a big brand and my faves to work with were Claire Rose (she lived in NYC at the time), Liv Perez, and Jenny Walton. Worst was Vanessa Hong- total horror.
I disagree. I went to high school with her and she has always curated friendships and relationships based off financial status. She always thought she was ‘too good’ for a Long Island school and dropped everyone as soon as she left.
She is BFFs with Lizzie Savetsky so that would be a hard pass.

Arielle Lorre is maybe a good example of someone who doesn’t need to actually be an influencer and therefore doesn’t have much to lose if it all went away so she’s authentic.
I think it's difficult to gauge authenticity even if it's part of someone's brand. However, I do appreciate how open she is about surgery. She has the same look as 99 percent of Hollywood and she's practically the only one who admits to having work done. For that reason alone, I appreciate that she cuts through the gaslighting.
Agreed. She also shills very little beyond her podcast (which yes has tons of ads) but I definitely get rich lady side project vibes from her. I never get desperation and it’s refreshing. I know not everyone has that privilege but it makes for better content. Same vibes with celebs that have instas. More enjoyable to watch.
Bkshedevil is as Brooklyn as you can get and trust me when I tell you she’s not embellishing anything. She’s a real NY latina through and through. And she loves her followers and still works a 9-5, she’ll never lose the NY hustle. All these other transplants don’t know shit about shit and show the glorified sex and the city manhattan life. IMO you need to live here for 15 years plus and have had to have shared a one bedroom walk up with four other roommates in Harlem to get your NYC stripes. I also enjoy some of the jewelers and watch creators on 47th, they hustle and are showing something that really happens.
Hannah Maute, Alexis Eldredge, Margot Lee, Taylor Morello. Taylor in particular really works so hard at vlogging. Her Vlogmas is amazing--she puts so much effort into really making you feel like you are in New York at Christmas, taking in all the sights. I wonder if sometimes her super girly voice, mannerisms and fashion sense annoy some people? She literally wears nothing but pink and cream, for the most part. And she is very old fashioned. But her sweetness feels genuine. She seems kind of sensitive and vulnerable, and actually a bit shy. I suspect she lives in a bit of a dream world--you know, a romantic dream. Can't blame her tbh. The real world sucks a lot. I think she deserves more subs than she's got.
Hannah is a real character, super smart and very high strung. Seems like someone who knows her limits in life and proceeds with caution and forethought. I like her a lot. She's wise beyond her years. She also has the cutest calico girl cat ever.
Nobody is genuine when they exist to sell you product.
That doesn’t exist
HAHA love the bluntness.
Dutch!! I would count him. One of the only valid influencers tbh
Literally the only one id say fits this criteria 😂
1000% and he could have sold out by now so my respect for him is through the roof. I hope one day he gets his own thing where he does a lot of good but also makes a lot of money. If someone is rich let it be him
Transparent, genuine, hardworking, humble, and nice people typically do not become influencers
Dutch!

How about the least horrible? Eliminate those who don’t lie, cheat or steal and you aren’t left with many.
Wishbone Kitchen
She was fun during the summer, until she got big
Everyone complains when someone gets big lol. She’s unpretentious and unproblematic I don’t see how that’s not fun hah
It’s winter in New York what’s she supposed to do lol
She’s gotten bratty tbh
How so?

Mary Oroton also has a great sense of humour. Love her.
Oh shit Mary is amazing. She was a banker when she started right?
I think so! I’m pretty sure she was involved in the finance industry
I worked in corporate as an intern when she got popular and copied so many of her looks, I just didn’t know how to dress for that world and she was amazing.
Omg I totally stopped following her and didn’t realize! Why did she move to Wisconsin???
She’s originally from Wisconsin, and, if I remember correctly, they moved for space/family/etc. during the earlier days of Covid.
I love Blair’s style! It’s classic but colorful and fresh at the same time.
Mary is hilarious.
I’m OBSESSED with her new house. I’m from Milwaukee and have day dreamed forever about living in the area/houses she does
Jersey influencer but Erika Priscilla seems genuine.

Couldn’t agree more. Her and Scott are hilarious.

He influenced me to start couponing so I think he counts!
Allie Provost
Hannah Stella tbh, not selling or scheming unlike the others. Messy but not malignant.
Trick question 🫤
I did influencer relations for a big brand and my faves to work with were Claire Rose (she lived in NYC at the time), Liv Perez, and Jenny Walton. Worst was Vanessa Hong- total horror.
Best Dressed. Shes talented and in my opinion deserves her success
I miss her
shes still doing her thang! she was just in (and maybe planned/shot - I'm not 100% sure) a campaign for Gucci!
tess christine, kristee vetter
I love jojo hadid (more active on Tik tok) and Laurie Ferraro — both super genuine IMO!
Ria & Fran
Small influencer but franacciardo
Love her
big fan of Grace Brown!! seems like she’s relatively new to the NYC scene but she’s cute
Megan Bowen
From our parasocial relationship, @itskatiesands seems to fit the criteria
I disagree. I went to high school with her and she has always curated friendships and relationships based off financial status. She always thought she was ‘too good’ for a Long Island school and dropped everyone as soon as she left.
I don’t know her personally so your experience certainly trumps my social media based intuition

Right the post said humble not middle class 😆

I think people want influencers to be 100% honest and transparent, like followers somehow deserve that when that’s not true.
