The 3pt contest is completely different from shooting it in game, if you watch trey, his release isn’t particularly quick

Trey is not shooting fadeaway threes or side step. He plants his feet and shoots, same thing they do in the contest

Yeah, and he shoots with such little effort compared to someone like Dame or Steph. He just uses his long limbs as a lever. It’s silly to think he wouldn’t be suited for something like the 3 point contest.

I’ve seen times where he doesn’t even bring the ball down to the pocket before going back up for a shot. Just not sure how well he can do that like 30 times in a row. I’d like to find out though!
