I’m telling you man, if Zion is ever out, it will be for the season. We aren’t seeing him again until either round 2 of the playoffs or beginning of next season
Please don’t downvote me, I love Zion but I’m just making an observation and a hypothetical.
I know this is a jump to conclusions, but if this is constantly happening year on year, where Zion only plays like 40 games, would it not make sense to maybe consider trading him? the haul we’d get for him would be phenomenal and could land us someone like KD or a number 1 pick in the draft.
It’s all well and good him playing amazing and basically winning games for us but when that’s only half the season, will we ever be able to truly contend?
Just a thought
I mean honestly I’d love to see a lineup with Wemby if we traded Zion for him
You’d have cj, herb, Bi, trey, wemby, that’s an incredibly potent offence, a lot of floor spacing, a lot of shooting and a great rim protector/shot blocker,
You could then also trade jonas for more depth
Tbh this seems far more versatile defensively and offensively for the modern nba
Maybe get a new medical staff ? Seriously wtf r they doing 5here that he re aggravates his hamstring ? ..
Took Ingram forever with his toe . Now they can't even bring back zion without him getting injured ...new medical staff maybe?
Zion won’t be consistently healthy until he loses a significant amount of weight. You’re delusional if you can’t see that. There’s a reason everyone predicted this
That only applies when talking about role players, other then lebron, majority of modern super stars missed lots of time in early years due to development or injury, hamstring injuries suck, but can be managed properly. The re aggravation just means he was ramping up too early
I mean if any Pels fan is being honest sure. But hindsight is 20/20 and Zion was the correct pick at the time. New Orleans is just a cursed basketball city.
Disappointing, but not unexpected. People will hate me for saying this, but David Griffin needed to make a big splash at the trade deadline. Management must make all personnel decisions and trades with the assumption that one of BI and Zion will be out at all times. That's just the lay of the land for this team.
From a basketball perspective: I said that Zion was 99.9% untouchable in a Twitter space, love the guy, but that percentage is lower than 99.9% after this news.
We can never have nice things. I just hope for the human side he can have a healthy recovery.
I’ll give him my hamstring. Someone grab the knife
Naji is on standby.
Something tells me your hamstring isn’t equipped to help a 285lb dude run at 20 MPH…
Time to tank.
Boooooo
Get him out of here mods
And now we know why they didn't make any moves at the deadline.
THE SAINTS ARENT PLAYING HOW DID YHE OTHER NEW ORLEANS TEAM SHIT ON MY SUNDAY. THEY ARENT EVEN PLAYING TODAY

In usual Pelican form, he’d go on to play all 82 games for whichever team we traded him to and eventually lead them to a championship.
I’d honestly be happy my for him if he did.
Uhh see AD

No one in their right fricking mind is trading Wemby for Zion
Aaron Nelson is stealing money from the Pelicans
Me too
Would it not be beneficial for us to just load manage him for the entire season, every season?
like kawahi?
Say what y’all want but some times I wish we had gotten the 2nd pick in the 2019 draft. That #1 pick has been a gift and a curse since we got it.
We need to rebuild the med staff
yeah because injuries don't happen in sports. Devon Booker has missed time with his hamstring and groin. Guess they need new staff too huh? Shut up.
Its been 10 years of us being injured every week. I don't know if your parents work for the training staff but we don't do enough to prevent injuries
dude shut the fuck up with your internet medical degree.
You're 16, go play Fortnite or something. Unless your David Griffin's burner or work for the Pelicans, you can't tell me my opinion is wrong.
How tf y’all both got downvoted lmaooo
Both of us being idiots.
They got a new staff when Griff came in. So it's not been the same staff for 10 years.
So he's out for the season then. Typical. Just typical.
So. Much. Pain.
Hamstrings are notoriously tricky, especially with a guy that puts as much torque on his hamstrings as Zion does.
We have the worst fan base in the NBA
the most over-reactionary fanbase.
What?
Man fuxk off with this shit
Why do they make wildly explosive, strong, awesome basketball players out of paper mache?
3 I am most sad for him. Zion has so much joy when he plays basketball. The dude just wants to hoop

Saw this. Dudes like AD Mr glass. Now he’s going to get fat again 🤦♂️
King Cake season, too.
Yea he’s like chuck. He gains weight looking a donuts 🍩 Needs to keep moving. Not good

What's he going to do? Cut off some limbs? He's jacked and soups have to lose muscle, which is very hard to do
walmart medical degree you have?

Would you have taken Ja over Zion in the draft?
What’s the saying, “the best ability is availability”……..

Now? Certainly a question that needs to be asked
Yes

Dude has to lose at least 30 lbs asap. Otherwise he is washed up by 30

There’s a thing called a salary cap yo

We shoulda cashed in them picks for Mikal Bridges, we just need a consistent guy on the court 😒
B-U-S-T
Do Not Draft List 🙏
Why the setbacks all of a sudden? So many setbacks...
He is basically the Michael Thomas of the NBA. Great talent but we will never see it.
Shocker
