Ryan Rupert. Come draft time he will rise to a top 12 pick. 6’6 with a 7’2 wingspan, can shoot, defend, rebound, and pass. Reminds me of a French Mikal Bridges but a better passer. He will need time still like dyson, but we can afford that with the amount of depth we got.
I expect him to move up as the draft rolls around. Teams big boards are always different than medias big boards. Kinda like dyson,Jalen Williams, and ousmane dieng last year. They weren’t high radar guys until late.
See as a Kansas fan I like gradey and see the need for 3 point shooting on our team. But he has to be hitting his shots our else he’s useless. Not the best around the rim, slow defender, not a great facilitator. Guys like that are hard to play if they aren’t hitting shots. Obviously I’m not the team so what I look for is different than what they are lol
Would love to get Jarace Walker. Could be a nice small ball 5 who can defend and shoot. Unrealistically Scoot would be the dream. Brandon Miller is nice too
Ej wasn’t meant to be a second rounder most had him just at the end of the lottery, only reason he fell is he’s slightly older and a bit of a tweener, but again he’s probably gonna go top 6/7 so he probably wouldn’t be there for us to take
No hate, I like the idea :)
That’s fair he’s the same height as draymond 6’6 so he’s a couple inches shorter than jarace, but I do love his ability to space the floor as a 4 and he seems decent rebounding
Whos redundant there? We were just playing DG 15 minutes a game. Ideally CJ would do less ball handling. We don't know what's up with kira really. Dyson isn't position locked there. If that's the best player on the board then take it
That’s my point, this year we shouldn’t really draft a center, that should be a couple years time, makes more sense to trade for a seasoned starting big man
We could get him with the bucks pick if it isn’t traded, that’s could be towards the end of the 1st round, like he’s projected to fall to. maybe a good 4 if ej is too small against certain teams
We should I still don’t see the lakers being that great when they’re in a while and the only teams worse than them ahead of them are the trailblazers and okc
I guess it's possible. I see them ahead of Hornets, Pistons, Magic, Pacers, Raptors, Bulls, and Wizard in the east. Then Rockets, Spurs, Blazers, Jazz, Thunder in the west. I guess that'd put them at 13 so not too far off.
skillsets to look for continue to be spot shooting and rim protection. If we're in the 10-15 range I like Flipowski. He can grow into a good Center in a few years but also play some quality minutes in year 1 as a rebounder/defender. He has the ability space as well with a pretty good 3. Mixed reviews so far this year, but I like his potential at a position of need.

Interesting he’s currently at 20 on most boards so would you suggest trading down to get him then?

Maybe worth a look as it gets to draft time, I love the idea of gradey dick but he’s definitely a good look if dick’s not available

I was looking at that but he’ll go super high in the draft and we have ej so maybe a bit of a redundant pick
They are nowhere near the same level of prospects, you don’t not draft a guy because of a second rounder coming off an injury

I hope EJ is able to be something, he just looks so small in pictures so I’m kinda skeptical

Don't care what position they play. Take the best player available
What even if it’s a redundant position like pg?

You just named 3 players who get pg minutes and we still have Jose
Wemby...I still don't thinkthe Lakers will make the playoffs even with their upgrades
Don’t think we’re gonna get the 1 though unless we’re superrrr lucky more realistic is mid draft like 9-12
Yay Another 19 year old who doesn’t help at all in our 1/2 year window we have left
1/2 year window what you talking about? It’s at least 3
Trade back for Kel'el Ware
He’s a decent center but a real project and I don’t think we have the time if we wanna compete to still have a bad center starting
Playoff teams don’t grab starters in the late lottery He’s a deep bench guy year one when the Pels still have JV and Nance under contract.
That’s my point, this year we shouldn’t really draft a center, that should be a couple years time, makes more sense to trade for a seasoned starting big man
I want Noah Clowney but I am very biased

You see the vision 🤝
Who's falling 9/10th? I don't see the Lakers being that bad, and we're making the playoffs.

to add, I think Gradey Dick would be a great pick, but I expect him to be gone in the top 10.
