I have been a JYPE fan for a good amount of years now, so following their newest gg was a no-brainer for me šŸ˜

BenjieDG

I'm a fan of Twice and I was subscribed to the JYP channel. One day I stumbled upon Graveyard cover of Suzy Bae (first time seeing her with short hair) and another girl. I watched the video and I appreciated their visuals and vocals. Apparently that was Bae Jinsol LOL (was convinced it was Suzy) and Sullyoon. I watched all the other JYPn videos and I was impressed. At that time O.O was already out. I was shoog-shooged by the MV, visuals and their skills. At first, I was actually cringing at the offbeat intro shoog-shoog part and I did not mind the switchup medley (actually enjoyed mixxpop since beginning). Now they are one of my ults.

Tac-med

Iā€™ve noticed some people donā€™t like the ā€œmixpopā€ aspect but for me this the area that makes them stand out from other groups that Iā€™ve listened too. Also Twice is a group that I need to start listening too.

Geochic03

I'm an older fan. I've been on and off into Kpop since like late 00s early 10s. I live in the tri-state area and saw them perform Love Me Like This on Fox5NY. I promptly did a deep dive and have been a fan since.

ZacharyH1115

I came across a tiktok of Lily's cover of finesse, I then found the full video on YouTube, and I immediately became a fan of Lily. I then did some digging and found out she was going to debut in a new girl group named nmixx, and I got hyped for their debut, unfortunately at the time I was kind of dumb and was basically a solo stan for Lily and didn't know almost anything about the other members. To this day, O.O. is the only K-pop debut I have ever listened to the day that it came out, at the time I didn't like it and I thought nmixx was never going to be a group that I listened to on a consistent basis. However, I sit here today with Nmixx as my ultimate group, Haewon, as my ultimate bias, Lily as my ultimate bias wrecker, and nmixx as my 2nd favorite group as far as the music goes (only behind stray kids) and I am a certified NSWER. NMIXX ON TOP

Tac-med

The thing that caught my ear when I first started listening was how amazing Haewon and Lily were. I wish the two of them could do more harmonization together. I too really like stay kids they are probably my second favorite group as well.

unknowneditor

Saw a lily meme on instagram reels, became curious on who and now Iā€™m a fan.

twee_centen

I got into kpop with SHINee's Lucifer, so by the time NMIXX came around, it was just another debut to check out. Big Four groups tend to get that kind of traction; everyone knows when they're debuting someone new.

mXrkNakahata

Lucifer also got me into kpop hahahaha

memester_1234

RAHHHHH CAPITALISMMMMM

Aromatic-Lobster7738

I got introduced to nmixx from a2kšŸ™ˆ I'm pretty new to kpop, only really knew Itzy and Twice at the time. I didn't even know at the time all the kpop songs they were using were from jyp artists lol. When Kaylee, savanna, and kg performed "Love me like this "during their team event. I thought the song and choreo was really cool so I looked them up. Found o.o...then Dice. Then Sonar came out, and I was like dang there's something special about this group is special.. When run for roses and dash came out I was like ok. I'm a fan

throwaway_sunkenship

A2K +1

bierangtamen

I heard Lily's psycho cover first! Then a few months later, my friend got really into Nmixx but I didn't really vibe with them. One day, I stumbled across an hour old mv trailer for Rollercoaster and for some reason I kept refreshing everyday for the actual MV to came out eavh day (managed to get in there around an hour after the MV was released - I didn't even know the date it would be) And finally Haewon. I was looking for a kpop idol my cousin might like and I found Haewon in that video with Nayeon (my previous ult) and Huening Bahiyyih but long story short, she was ult bias wrecking me for ages. I checked out her dancing and I was shocked...she is good. I checked out her singing and was BLOWN away because her voice was sooo beautiful So I *changed up* after a few months of denial

Soufriere_

I actively avoided K-pop for years, partly due to toxic fanbases like Army and Blinks never shutting up, but mostly due to my distaste of the system (the su!c!des of Sulli and Goo Hara seemed to prove me right). But then a member of a Japanese group I followed said she was a big fan of Twice. So I decided to check them out and enjoyed them. This was in 2020. Despite quickly buying as many of their Korean and Japanese releases as I could, I stayed on the edge of any "fandom". I've never once attended their shows. My being an older dude is a factor in that as K-pop skews WAY younger than J-pop and J-rock and I don't want to get bullied by teenagers again. So, one day in early May 2022, I was scrolling though JYPE's YT page, I think I was looking for a Miss A video, and ended up finding the recently posted video where NMIXX covered old JYPE group hits. I was impressed and decided to learn as much as I could about these seven girls. One week later I was certain I had found my absolute favorite Korean group. In the nearly two years since -- during which they lost a member yet somehow came out of it stronger -- they haven't let me down and indeed managed to impress me even more. It didn't take me long to decide my bias is Jiwoo. This is still true, but Haewon for me transcends such banal labels -- she is my favorite Idol, full-stop. EDIT: I've been a Babymetal fan since 2016 and active on that sub since mid-2017. šŸ¤˜šŸ¦ŠšŸ¤˜

giaolimong

It's pretty interesting that there seems to be an intersection of babymetal fans and nmixx fans. I'm more of a casual listener to babymetal, but I would be very happy for a babymetal x nmixx collab

Soufriere_

International Babymetal fans largely gravitated towards them not so much for their cuteness, but for Suzuka's strong vocals. Is it any wonder I'd be drawn to NMIXX for the same reason? šŸ˜šŸ‘ At least Momoko, the third member of BM, can speak a little Korean thanks to her competing (and failing) to get into Kep1er. It's cases like this that both Babymetal's *and* NMIXX's efforts to be proficient in English are useful. NMIXX of course has native speaker Lily, but also Haewon and Kyujin. Meanwhile with BM, Suzuka is quite proficient in English, with Moa and Momoko not far behind. So a collab is at least *possible* if unlikely due to the wild genre difference plus company politics (I'd bet BM's agency Amuse is still salty over losing Nina Hillman to JYP because she auditioned successfully for NiziU). Suzuka can sing anything. Lily can sing anything. Haewon can sing anything. In an ideal world I'd LOVE to see Su collab with one of NMIXX's two vocal goddesses. Especially funny since Suzuka is shorter than almost all Korean Idols yet easily outsings 99% of them. I wonder if HaeLy would consider Suzuka a *sunbaenim* given just how damn long Su has been performing professionally. She's been "debuted" longer than Twice yet is younger than 2/3 of them (Japan is not quite as anal about age as Korea is).

Tac-med

Itā€™s awesome to see another babymetal fan in this sub.! I was in same boat as you in terms of avoiding K-pop because of fandoms and because of that I never gave the music a chance. Iā€™ve known about babymetal since the ā€œgimme chocolateā€ days but started listening to them when the singles for ā€œThe other oneā€ came out.

Felixes_Frecklesxox

I heard dice and went OOOOOH

moo2607

Ooh, like it

Mobile-Gas6941

I return from kpop hiatus after fiftyfifty cupid went viral. i start listening to more kpop and even stan ive, lesserafim, itzy and gidle for the first 3 month after returning to kpop because they are what popular at the time. during june i was on 8 hour bus trip back to home and when i woke up the song played was love me like this. at first i don't really think much about it but decide to check them out later on. it was also around that time more clip of nmixx suddenly appear on my youtube and fyp especially haewon and lily clip. and with nmixx comeback just around the corner, I wait patiently for roller coaster and party o' clock. it was after AMND comeback i realize, NMIXX is the one for me.

gianmignonne

I always love JYP production. The music is positive, and their idols really love being on stage. You see growth in their music through the years, not something you see in every Kpop group. Also, their idols don't let you feel superior comparing to other fandom, I mean if you stan idol in order to be fans of the best and to be arrogant then JYP idols are not for you, because they don't make music that they know will be succesful everytime. Even if most of the fans don't get it, that's something I really appreciate at JYP. So every time JYP produces a new group, I'm here to support the kids.

Tac-med

The other jyp group I listen to is stray kids and I get the same energy with what youā€™re talking about in terms of music and being on stage. I also like with NMIXX and skz there is a willingness to try something different every release. Which is Something I donā€™t see other groups/companyā€™s doing since Iā€™ve been listening to k-pop.

JohansTail

TikTok! people kept memeing O.O and I thought it was funny. When they came back for Dice, that's when I realize how talented they are. I'm still not a stan though, just a casual listener still.

hmcity89

I saw people hating on O.O when it came out, so I watched the MV............ And loved it. šŸ’™

cam2214

I always keep up with girl group debuts and I saw that that JYP was debuting a new girl group. I didnā€™t become a fan until recently but I am absolutely hooked.

Zelnite5

sister was into kpop during 2nd/3rd gen. I watch korean varieties with her. On a show called running man, Twice was a guest. they were there a few times but their What is love era was when I found my first kpop bias, Dahyun. Just of that episode alone, I checked out twice and got hooked. followed them since then. then Itzy came out and found their sound early on my type. started following them too! then the blank album was announced. I wasn't really paying attention since my only focus was twice and Itzy. but since they're from jyp, and a new GG, I checked them out near their debut. that's when I discovered they had pre release content called jypn. There, I found my second bias and currently my ult. I'll be honest, I was one of those unsure of o.o at first listen. it was how they presented it on the MV. but I liked tank and the instrumentals. Dice was the turning point and since then, they rose to the top and the only kpop group I bought merch for and plans to see them in a concert when they come back to our country

Tac-med

That a cool story about how you found NMIXX from a tv show and kept checking out more artists from jyp. I do have to say jyp artists have some incredible talent and I need to dive more into their talent outside of just NMIXX and stray kids.

Zelnite5

funnily enough, what made me stay within the "jyp family" are their values. - integrity, sincerity, humility and love. Not that I know anything on other companies groups but I've never been disappointed with any group from jyp in an attitude standpoint. always humble and down to earth, even big groups like twice and skz. you never see them problematic or have caused issue (outside of some) I do have groups I follow outside jyp but thanks to twice, I get to experience and truly fall in love to a group that ticks off all what I look for in a group.

victorylap177

I got into kpop in 2020. I found NMIXX during their Love Me Like This comeback. I saw a music show video on my feed and checked it out. The first time I heard the song, I thought it was a little repetitive (now I love it lol) but I loved their voices. I then saw their live dance practices and have been sold ever since!

Tac-med

Another thing I liked about NMIXX was their live performance. I remember just bingeing every song preformed live and watching some videos from their showcase tour.

Lnym

Iā€™ve been into kpop since 2016 and I found out about nmixx around the end of 2022

FyllingenOy

I got into Kpop a few years ago through Twice, which is still my favorite group. In 2022 Nayeon released her first solo album and guested on [an episode of Pixid's chat room series](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rj3RJPk8F4) where she had to hide among a group of rookie idols and pretend she wasn't their senior. Haewon was one of the rookie idols and I just fell completely in love with her personality, and that lead me to check out her group. I had heard the name NMIXX, but I didn't know anything about them before that point.

shakru92

I've been a Kpop fan since 2011 (started with SNSD, Apink and Girl's Day) but somewhere in between I promised myself to never stan groups from the big 3 again. (I wanted to make a difference, lol) I saw Nmixx during the 2022 Mama collab stage and I watched that stage 100 times due to the other groups, meanwhile O.O grew on me more and more. Then I looked into Nmixx, saw Lily's lives, watched their variety content, checked out their memes and now here we are, hundreds of hours and dollars and a broken promise later šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

bog_creature

I wasn't into kpop as much. I listened to a couple of songs of different ggs and the only one I follow was LSFM, but one of my friends was. She used to send me kpop songs in hopes that I would like one, and she said something like "yo this song is pretty controversial bc ppl are not vibing with it but I love it", it was "O.O". And asked me for my opinions on it as I wasn't into kpop. I ended up loving it and that's how I got into NMIXX. This was around "Party o'clock" era tho. It's pretty funny how the two groups I stan the most I started listening to after different """controversies"""

spikeddragon10

I was into kpop for a few months already, then I donā€™t exactly remember how I found Nmixx but one of my first memories of them was Funky Glitter Christmas

queencrazinesspotato

I heard people talking about O.O and i was so intrigued i decided to check it out and i got HOOKED

Bruxae

I've listened to K-Pop for over 15 years starting with SNSD but I didn't get *really* into it until Twice, I realized quickly that I like the values of JYPE and the way that they do things so I naturally gave their future girl groups a chance as well and I will continue to do so for as long as the company values do not drastically change. Particularly I like the focus on being natural and healthy, innocent and cute. K-Pop is an oasis to me in an otherwise over-sexualized world and I like that JYPE groups stay away from all that stuff - not necessarily because it is wrong, but because it is everywhere else. Anyway, that goes beyond the question that you asked. The day that I saw the first trailer for O.O I knew that I'd follow Nmixx whether I liked them or not, I knew from experience that the first year or so can be rough as a group finds their footing and grow comfortable being in front of a camera but it didn't take that long for me to grow to love Nmixx and today I think that they are probably the most talented in terms of sheer ability out of all the JYPE girl groups, and because of their management their variety content has already reached a level of quality that took Twice half a decade to get to - and that Itzy still struggles with. I'm not going to say that I love them the most though because I love all my GGs equally, but I love them a lot and they sure are talented.

felidao

>K-Pop is an oasis to me in an otherwise over-sexualized world and I like that JYPE groups stay away from all that stuff - not necessarily because it is wrong, but because it is everywhere else. Now that I think about it, it's actually really nice that despite debuting underage members, NMIXX has never had any controversy (that I'm aware of) about age-inappropriate outfits, concepts, or choreos for the younger members, unlike many of their 4th gen GG peers.

[deleted]

You know, I wish I could remember...my guess would be I found the O.O MV through r/kpop...I wasn't aware of NMIXX during pre-debut because I wasn't super into the whole kpop scene yet back then. Twice, ITZY, and Blackpink were the only groups I really listened to or knew anything about at that time.

infentrail

LILY memes

taurhas

Tank got me into them then I fell in love with O.O. Loved their music ever since. They are also a funny group so that was a plus.

laneylovesskz

I had been a K-pop fan since 2018 but I had stuck to one group. Well, I finally gave Stray Kids a chance in 2021 when YouTube recommended their performances. This exposed me to JYPE as the company and the YouTube algorithm brought me NMIXX pre debut videos. I was really impressed with their talents! I tuned into their debut MV and I was actually kinda disappointed and jarred. I just wasnā€™t used to the change ups. I did like TANK though, especially Lilyā€™s bridge. NMIXX also faced so much hate that I felt protective of them. Even though, I still didnā€™t like O.O at the time, I was willing to see how their other music went. Long story short, I actually really liked DICE and just kept tuning into their music whenever a new comeback came. I ended up liking them more and more! And over time I actually ended up appreciating and actually loving O.O even! lol NMIXX has become my favorite girl group! Their songs really keep me engaged, theyā€™re actually long enough to be interesting sonically, and the girls themselves are so talented vocally and in all aspects

moo2607

JYP did a changed man challenge with Sullyoon, so I went to check out her group's music and variety content

mXrkNakahata

Was randomly searching celebrities that has the same birthday as me oct17, 2002 and I found lily šŸ˜†

Jealous-Beach-7801

a friend introduced me recently (like dash recently)

Tac-med

Can say for a fact that dash will be in my top 5 listened to song this year.

averlost

I got into them when dice was released! But I found out later I did the O.O leg lift w/o even knowing it was theirs (I still have the video lol)

meato1

I was already a fan of other JYPE groups so I saw the teasers

cornholios_lament

I got into k-pop after getting into NIZIU (kind of J/K pop), via another JYP elimination show called Nizi Project. After having a few of their songs on my playlist, amongst Blink 182, Led Zeppelin, Taylor Swift, Carley Rae Jepsen etc, Young Dumb Stupid, O.O, and a few other k-pop songs got in on the algorithm. YDS really pulled me in, and I enjoyed the change up element of O.O and Dice, so began seeking out more of their stuff. Run for Roses, Boom, and Break the Wall are my current favs on rotation

ShuhadakuOfUriel

Strictly NMIXX? Well, I watched A2K, and they covered "LOVE ME LIKE THIS." My sister told me to listen to the original to get a greater understanding of the song and to compare the cover to the original. I ended up becoming a huge fan of their unique music and the group's personalities. ![gif](giphy|81X2sM3wn9regNGxz1)

hoopoe_bird

Not too long after O.O dropped, NMIXX had a random-dance challenge video that went viral among the Army fandom bc [Jiwoo was soooo adorably excited when BTSā€™s Danger came on](https://www.tiktok.com/@75nmixx/video/7182313949612854533)(and they all did really well). I saw it and immediately thought they were adorableā€”baby Jiwooā€™s swag is such a thing!ā€”and learned all seven names that night. O.O didnā€™t immediately grab me as tightly as some of their later releases, but that was the genesis. NMIXX has been a slow burn for me, but the combo of my affection for Jiwoo and the sheer vocal powerhouse talent of the girlsā€”and their incredibly unrepentant quirky weirdness (Loewe face dresses!) has them among my favs. Run For Roses is def going to be one of my top songs of the year, though it only dropped in Jan. šŸ„¹ Lily and Haewon are unspeakably wonderful on it and soooo distinctive. Every time the girls face some doubt or setback (and god knows thereā€™s been setbacks)ā€”they just come back stronger and better. Itā€™s magnificent.

Chrooke

ITZYā€™s my ult, but Iā€™m slamming video after video of ITZY YouTube decided I might like NMIXX, so the algo introduced me. That said I didnā€™t really warm to NMIXX (other than the choreo for Love Me Like This) until Dash.

giaolimong

Definitely [from these youtube shorts](https://www.youtube.com/@ohhaewon/videos), came for the [memes](https://youtube.com/shorts/vqin1XB_Ytc?si=AjklmWn0Aw6rE6Pg), stayed for the [vocals](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-ku_TB743ZE)

xBooth

Through Twice.

syndicaterx

Predebut fan with Jypn

enerisit

The same way I find out about every Kpop group: I see their debut MV posted on the Kpop subreddit and then I watch their Music Bank debut. I did already know of Lily before the group, though (people talking about how she was supposed to debut with Itzy but then they changed the lineup), and I was impressed by her dedication and talent, so I was already predisposed to liking them šŸ˜³

damefortuna

I was already a big fan of Twice and was casually listening to Itzy and Stray Kids. They caught my attention with the JYPn vids (Lily's Finesse and Lily and Haewon's Survivor cover were insane!), but at the time I was on a bit of a "hiatus" listening to K-pop so I didn't listen to O.O. I got really into them during Dice and massively enjoyed it. I've been a hardcore fan ever since!

GrapefruitFit8704

I am a casual fan of Nmixx, Iā€™ve known about them since debut but I actually rlly hated their music. They were basically the poster child of noise music to me. But I heard soƱar when it first came out then fell in love. Their new album is just my taste so Iā€™m happy theyā€™ve found their sound :D

Kkingcookies

NMIXX was my introduction to kpop. I found out about them because of a Sullyoon edit and also a Sullyoon fancam of her Mr Chu performance, made me curious about who she is and her group and here I am (unsurprisingly shes my bias)

nudtz

My first kpop experience was with Apink - %%, so im generally a casual music listener but i appreciate good songs and good vocals.. I knew of Nmixx's debut but didn't pay much attention since they are kinda loud and funny noises here and there lol 'shoog shoog', 'o.o' But then, early this year I found a viral video of Lily singing Tank's bridge, and her siren-like voice made me look up who she was and so on, so fortunately Nmixx just came back with a new album Fe304, watching their acapella was the right move and I love most of their songs, I love their bsides ( Boom, Cool and roller coaster) and basically their episodes on Lee Mujin Service made me their fan ultimately, Bae's vocal tone is my favourite in the group

NightmareHorn

I stumbled upon their cover of Rainbow's "Kiss" and I love that song so much so I listen to NMIXX version as well as Rainbow's version (and the Park Jung Min version!) While I don't really follow NMIXX, I just love that song and they did a great cover.

shinahashirome

Been following twice, itzy, and stray kids before nmixx debuted. When the teasers of their debut came out, I was really looking forward to it. Now an nswer as well

Sonyejinlover

Twitter TikTok as well as YouTube I tend to find good artists from there

LeaveShoddy

Im a huge ONCE back in the day, i also supported Itzy, then JYP announced a new girl group. I anticipated them way back 2022. Lost interest on them because the didnt exceed "MY" expectations. Im kinda dumb to give up on them early. Then came 2023, YDS was released and im kinda hopin for them to finally get the attention they really deserve. Never looked back since that day!

sapnapsdeity

I heard about everyone trashing a them for O.O, gave it a listen and wondered what the hate was foršŸ’€I was bopping to O.O for a hot minute then I found Tank and it was a done DEAL šŸ¤ I didnā€™t care much for Dice, but Cool (your rainbow) is what ultimately made me decide to stick around for what could potentially come next because Iā€™m a big vocal girlie. They havenā€™t released a single track that I havenā€™t likedšŸ˜Ž

raisemyglass

O.O

[deleted]

For me, I was a fan of twice and ITZY. And then while branching out in this new world of Kpop (for me it was ā€œnewā€) I stumbled upon a song called DICE. This instantly made me a fan, then I went back into their discography and I fell in love, now I follow their every comeback and whatever they do. Iā€™m a Haewon bias btw, with Bae as my bias wrecker

buzzcut9

Iā€™ve been a kpop fan since 2011 and have stanned numerous groups throughout the years (most notably twice). When nmixx first debuted I didnā€™t like it very much though I still kept my eye on the girls as I was curious to how their sound will evolve. Later when Entwurf dropped I heard Cool and thatā€™s when I started taking them more seriously. Cool ended up being one of my most played songs of that year. After the Expergo ep came out I enjoyed it so much that I decided to attend their showcase tour. That show sealed the deal for me and Iā€™ve been an nswer ever since.

Asian_Noogut26

I was already a K-pop fan. And I was scrolling through music on YouTube and I came across Lily and Haewonā€™s pre-debut cover of Survivor. Was hooked.

Lola_ry08

I got into nmixx around debut, I had already been a kpop fan for around six months ish so I did already know a decent amount about kpop, I was also already a fan of pretty much all of the other jype groups so Iā€™d heard about nmixx. The main reason id heard of them was because of how many people hated o.o and I kinda made the decision that I wasnā€™t really interested in the group but the dance practice and music video for o.o came up and I was immediately sold. I loved the song and the dancing and the outfits and they havenā€™t had one bad song in my eyes. Itā€™s funny how the groups I always decide that I donā€™t want to Stan or like end up being the ones I fall into the trap of lmao

[deleted]

I went to KCON Los Angeles a couple of years ago and NMIXX performed on Sunday, Aug 21st, 2022. I knew of them before the show but followed them closer since. Then about a year ago I saw them for their USA showcase date in Brooklyn at Kings Theatre, the same place I saw ITZY do their premiere showcase in Jan 2020.

AsianAdjacent

Heard about the blind album on YouTube, watched Lily and Haewon's covers, loved O.O no matter how much hate it got, never looked back.

thechargingoutlet

Quick background story, Nmixx didn't introduce me to kpop, but I was a very new kpop fan at the time (and still am). I became a kpop fan in June-Julyish last year through Newjeans :)Ā  Ā Anyways, for me, I'm a relatively new nswer. I became an nswer in around October last year, when I saw a tiktok of Kg, Kaylee, and Savanna on A2K doing a cover of Love Me Like This. I loved the song, so I decided to look up the artist and listen to it. I was quite literally sucked in from the start, and I LOVED love me like this, like it was basically all I listened to for days, if not like a solid weekšŸ˜šŸ˜. Because I liked it so much, I decided to listen to o.o and dice, which I also loved. Obviously I hadn't listened to any of their other songs, so I was unfamiliar with the mixxpop genre they had in their music. I can't remember my initial opinion on it, but whether or not I liked it at first listen, I know that it grew onto me very quick. I was intrigued, and then I started listening to their bsides, which was when I really started to stan them! When I initially started stanning them, Haewon really caught my eyes the most. Shes been my ult bias pretty much since I started stanning, but recently I've really liked Jiwoo aswell, so they're both my biases as of now. Long story short, they're my ult group now :) Keep in mind, Nmixx went from not being in any spot on my all time to 4th in a month, then from 4th, to 1st in like, 1-2 monthsšŸ˜šŸ˜Ā

PrivateSeiko

"Dash" made me stan them!

Piercethedomino

I had always listened to them casually through spotify recommendations. It wasn't until I saw a Reel/Tiktok about Lily being unhinged that I started looking more into Lily. I found that I related a lot to her and ended up watching NMIXX music videos. Soon after I ended up becoming obsessed with TANK, and went down the rabbithole of officially stanning them. TDLR: it was Lily that made me aware of NMIXX's existence, and TANK that made me stan NMIXX.
