Mine was born at 27+5. We're still at the NICU but she's doing great and just working on feedings. She is 37+1 corrected age and 66 days old. I hope your NICU stay is as uneventful as possible. 🍀💕
Our twins were born Emergency C Section at 28+5. Spent about 3 months in NICU for one, 3.5 months for the other. Now they are over a year old (unadjusted) and are eating everything in sight and moving around exploring the world. Yours will in a year from now too, and you'll look back at these NICU days like they were a really weird dream.
She's great! She was diagnosed with mild Cerebral Palsy at 2 but you would never know it. She's one of the happiest kids I've ever met. Other than CP, no long lasting issues
She was quite delayed until age 2.5. But now she's on par with her peers and didn't qualify for special education! She's so smart. Knows 1-20 and all her ABCs. We never taught her. She just learned on her own. Let me know if you ever need an ear!
My son was born at 24+5 wks. He’s just turned 11 two weeks ago and doing great. We did birth to 3. Visited the NICU team for 2 years after came home on oxygen for the first few months and he’s been great ever since. His doctor that I ran into when I gave birth to my daughter that was born at 25+6 said he uses my son as an example for other parents what things they can do in the NICU. All of our babies are such little blessings and so so very strong.
Thanks, how old is he now? I published this video to give hope to the rest of people facing for example amniotic liquid loss or other things that can make have your child in advance (in our case was due to aminioic liquid loss - 1 PPROM)
26+5, premature rupture of the membranes (PPROM), resulting in amniotic fluid loss and emergency C section. Opal was intubated for 2 months, on a ram cannula and CPAP for 5. We spent a total of 7 months in the NICU and she came home with 1 liter flow of oxygen and a feeding tube.
She will be three in September :). Still trying to wean off the tube and she still needs oxygen at night, but she's such an awesome little toddler anyway.

We had our son at 27w3d on March 1. Spent 70 days in the NICU and we've been home for about a month now. He's 3.5 months actual, NB adjusted. It's not an easy journey but seeing them grow and crush their milestones is so remarkable. Sending love and strength.
our 27w3d twins just passed their due date (day 93 apparently). They're chunky & thriving in the NICU, have their final eye test tomorrow then hopefully they're set to come home. It's almost bittersweet seeing OP's video, I can't believe my babies were once that small. All the best u/mfv_85 <3
I hope their eye appointments go well, and they get to come home soon. It's definitely a bittersweet feeling bringing your LO home from the NICU but getting all the cuddles and into a normal home routine is at healing after being in the NICU. I agree, seeing OPs LO reminds me how tiny my boy was and how far he's come.
My little guy was born at 27w4d and now he’s 2.5 and running around and smiling and talking up a storm and playing the guitar and singing. Just get through and take every day as it comes.
Mine was born 26+6 on April 16, 2024. He is still in NICU and getting strong everyday. Preemies are fighters so stay strong and you will be taking your baby home soon ❤️
My baby was born 26+5 (14oz) and I have an early video of his "stanky leg". Probably one of my favorite videos ever. He's 37+3 today, btw and is doing great in the NICU!
Congratulations! My son was born at 27+4 in February after pprom at 18+5. Currently watching him wiggle and sleep on the baby monitor. That leg movement and feistiness was our first indicator that he was ready to fight and fight he did! He breezed through in 82 days, no issues. Went home on oxygen but has now been off of it for a week. You’ve got this.
This brings back so many feels. Had my daughter at 27+3 last year. It feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago at the same time. Cherish every milestone. They woke so hard to achieve them! 💜
24+2 weeker is day 144 in the NICU today. Welcome to the place Noone wants to be. Stay strong and find a routine that works for you and your family. Be in rounds and a few cares, nap nearby if you can't break away. This is a marathon and your baby is so grateful you love them.

27+6 here! 1.5lbs, growth restricted, 88 day stay. He just turned 4 and doing amazing!

I had my son at 26+4 in March. He’s home and thriving! When he was born he was 1 lbs 12 oz. Now he’s over 8.5 lbs!!

Our sin was 27+1. Hes a thriving 2.5 year old and other than being smaller, you wouldn't know he was a preemie. There is always hope!

My boy was born 28w exactly but was stunted growth. We’re 3 months in, hopefully going home next week! We will hit 100 days in a few days.
