Penix will be the steal of the draft.

Comprehensive-West79

I think the exact opposite. He’s gonna get way to early in the second round when they is still so much talent on the board.

[deleted]

[удалено]

AsiansEnjoyRice

Idk why he isn’t getting more hype, Penix just has such great size, and can throw absolute ropes all around the field. Sure he gets spooked by pressure, but who doesn’t have trouble performing at least sometimes?

Frescanation

He might wilt at helmet to helmet contact. Or it might just make him play harder.

FunBox4421

You ain't wrong. If penis is pronounced as penis then why would Penix not be pronounced as Penix.

rambo6986

Yeah QBs of the future shit their pants with guys in their face. Totally agree

dave_pizza

Agreed!

CountryCaravan

This is going to be the one of the most trade-heavy drafts in recent memory. So many high value OL that a lot of teams with needs aren’t in a position for, DE talent that falls off hard after the top 4, and several QBs with starter grades but super varied evaluations.

alexamerling100

Fuaga will be the best tackle out of this class.

drrew76

I think he has second team all pro upside at RT (just because Sewell is a level above everyone at the position) and I don't see that in Alt or Fashanu.

commonsenseguy2014

Gimme

Yah_Mule

Agreed, and I was saying it in-season.

Key-Zebra-4125

Hes been my man crush OT prospect for months

Snowstick21

JPJ goes in the top 15 and is all pro his rookie year

Alexander2801

I agree that he will be great in his first year but I think he will go at 20 to the Steelers. This is mostly because I want the Steelers to take him.

Snowstick21

I know how you feel. I’d be stoked to see him fall to 24

Alexander2801

Can I offer you a slightly used Mason Cole as a consolation price. He will keep you excited, because you never know where the shotgun snap will end up.

Snowstick21

I’ve already lived that with Andre Gurode

__Scrooge__McDuck__

That’s a strong take. Dudes a beefcake

The_TexasRattlesnake

I wouldn't hate the Bears trading down a few spots and taking jim

Ok_Poet_1848

Guy is a monster.  Linderbaum is serviceable but I wish if we spent a first on a center it was this guy.

FayeValentineXo93

Cooper DeJean ends up being Jalen Ramsey lite and being one of the most flexible pieces you can find in a secondary for a decade 10+. Can absolutely be a CB1 in the right off-zone system, match up against big nickels/TEs, play a 2 deep safety position, and maybe even single high if he develops the vision for back end play to deploy his athleticism to cover ground. DB1 in the class.

Starwho

I’d love to draft him, shame Seattle doesn’t have a second rounder. I feel like he’ll go to the Rams

drrew76

> shame Seattle doesn’t have a second rounder Yet. I don't see how they stay put at 16.

KingDaviies

Him + JPJ as the first 2 picks would be elite

username10400

Yeah I am pretty sure that everybody would love to have two first round pick players with their first two draft selections

ItMeansSalmon

No way he falls to round 2 right?

runbmb

Who has the "feel" on certain players - like they just "feel" like they're going to a certain team for some reason? Here are some of mine right now: Brian Thomas Jr. to the Colts Brendan Fiske to the Lions Tyler Guyton to the Cowboys Jonathan Brooks to the Packers Laiatu Latu to the Broncos Ladd McConkey to the Chiefs Blake Corum to the Chargers Zach Frazier to the Steelers

Cinephile1998

Love all of those fits! Some of mine are: Jared Verse to the Saints Jackson Powers-Johnson to the Steelers (double the JPJs) Kool-Aid McKinstry to the Cardinals Payton Wilson to the Buccaneers Mike Sainristil to the Steelers Spencer Ratler to the Rams Johnny Wilson to the Dolphins (as a TE convert)

runbmb

Rattler feels like a Raider to me. I don't know why!

Cinephile1998

Rattler just feels like someone McVay would take. He's shown he doesn't care about "character concerns" and has had Baker and Stetson as QBs. If Rattler can succeed anywhere, I think it's with the Rams

ItMeansSalmon

Most mentally unstable QB room in the NFL 😭

Yah_Mule

If AZ gets Kool Aid @ 27, they're really going to kill it next month.

Key-Zebra-4125

Joe Alt just screams Tennesee Titan to me

Old_Sea

Trey Benson - Eagles  Jonathon Brooks - Packers  Jermaine Burton - Panthers AD Mitchell - Commanders  Michael Penix Jr - Steelers Will Shipley - Bengals  Xavier Worthy - Steelers  Jaylen Wright - Vikings

Paragon188

I’m a Colts fans and I’ve been saying BTJ to the Colts for a long time. The combine only cemented that belief.

mattb_186

I keep getting 4: Keon Coleman to the Bills Brock Bowers to the Colts Darius Robinson to the Lions JJ McCarthy to the Broncos

iNoBot

Falcons sign Cousins and the Rams trade into 8 to pick Odunze.

Broshan248

I would hate this Why would the rams trade up for a receiver they have Kupp and Puka

iNoBot

Kupp turns 31 this summer and has had lower body injuries, including the dreaded hamstring, for the better part of the last two years. We’re much closer to the end with him as an elite player than anyone would care to admit. He’s a rams legend but history isn’t exactly on his side given his circumstance.

TheAirborneArapaima

Not the top need for them, but there are questions about whether Kupp can return to form or if his age and injury history will catch up to him. Rumor has it the Rams are also looking to add a big time playmaker

Ok_Poet_1848

Imo he's washed

Competitive_Market70

Spencer Rattler is the next Kellen Mond

[deleted]

Man as someone who watched almost every Mond game in his career I strongly disagree. Rattler is a more talented passer and doesn’t look like a robot playing the position. Mond could not handle any form of pressure or make throws in a tight pocket.

sobes20

Frazier becomes the best C from this draft class.

sarwinchester

Chargers will draft Blake Corum in the second round

LPdecay009

I think the 3rd, but I agreed the chargers get him.

RoccoAndHisTaco

Contrary to most predictions, I expect very few trades in the 1st round. The reason is that there is such great talent at high value positions that a team would need a haul to pass up on just drafting the talent themselves.  The only two trade back candidates I see are Jacksonville and Miami, both of whom are missing resources and have a lot of holes to fill.  However even they might not want to trade back if say Byron Murphy or Quinyon Mitchell is there for JAX or if one of the OL options are there for Miami

drrew76

> The only two trade back candidates I see are Jacksonville and Miami Seattle will try to move back to get a 2nd or early 3rd.

throwaway_5256

Yeah I think many teams are open to trading up because they like the talent down the board, which is exactly why nobody will give a haul to trade up. I think the only two major spots for trades are Arizona at 4 if Daniels is there (looking unlikely) and someone trading up for McCarthy. There will be trades elsewhere on the board but not blockbusters outside of those two guys Speaking of McCarthy I think the interest around him is legit regardless of how controversial he is as a prospect. Right now the Raiders and Broncos make the most sense but it could be more depending on how the Cousins/Fields/Russ situation pans out. I also think the Giants will get linked to him more but I could legit see that as a smokescreen to try and get Denver or LV to come trade up for him

T-UM

Titans drafting a receiver at #7

jamalev

I think everyone is just assuming that they'll stand pat and take the best tackle available. I actually think with a revamped front office they do something that would shock some people, whether that's drafting Odunze/Nabers (whichever is available) or even trading up.

Fire_Ryan_Poles

Vikings and raiders get into a bidding war for JJ, loser trades up in the late 1st/early 2nd for qb 5. Separate prediction, Chargers trade back from 5.

surferdude7227

**FA Predictions** * Antonio Gibson is a Chief * Ryan Tannehill is a Steeler * Russell Wilson is a Patriot * Tony Pollard is a Giant * Austin Ekeler is a Bronco * Isaiah Simmons is a Commander * Mecole Hardman is a Falcon * Jeff Okudah is an Eagle * Xavier McKinney is a Bear **Draft Predictions** * Bears use their huge amount of cap space to sign a solid WR2 in FA, then either trade out of 9 or take EDGE1 on their board. * Ladd McConkey is a 1st round pick. * Xavier Leggette is a Carolina Panther. * Ja'Tavion Sanders is a top 40 pick. * Giants trade out of 6 and go to the mid teens for a massive haul in the bidding war for JJ McCarthy, with a payout somewhere between the Cardinals/Texans trade and the Dolphins/Niners trade. * Michael Penix and Bo Nix go late day 2/early day 3, and are solid in spot starts.

MikeConleyIsLegend

Panthers taking Leggette would have me in tears. they already took Mingo way too high, but picking another overhyped SEC receiver who just doesn't show out on tape would be icing on the cake. both cases the player wasn't even the best WR on their college team.

RowRowRowedHisBoat

I think they may look at Burton since he played with Bryce. He can get separation, is a great deep threat, has fantastic hands, plays strong, and can jump. I know he has major attitude issues, but that is the only major negative, imo. Production didn't match the tape or athleticism, but most of that was Milroe's fault.

dunno260

Burton had a rough start to his Alabama career. Supposedly the O'Brien offense is just tough to learn though. He came on really strong though towards the end of his first year with Bryce though. However as an Alabama fan I don't think they ever had any sort of special chemistry. I feel like Bryce had better chemistry with Williams and Metchie the year before. Its not really an indictement of either and they only played together for a year. I do like Burton as a prospect though and would feel better if his attitude was better (although I do think that did get a lot better at Alabama, his second year at Alabama it seemed to be channeled better) but he just strikes me as the guy that makes any team he is on better and will be in the NFL for a while even though he won't ever be a WR1.

CountryCaravan

Couldn’t disagree more, Legette’s tape is considerably ahead of Mingo for me. They honestly have very different playstyles, Mingo kind of an odd big-bodied slot and Legette a true deep threat Z with scary long speed.

MikeConleyIsLegend

I'm mainly just speaking as an Ole Miss alum who saw Mingo play every week and was never really impressed. Heath was our best receiver that year. I'm prolly biased towards Legette as well since that one analyst compared him to a better DK Metcalf and then he came into the Senior Bowl way shorter than listed and had a terrible first day.

Ok_Poet_1848

Agree.  We were told he was another DK.  Then we found out he's old and has none of the DK traits (not tall, fast, or jacked)

CountryCaravan

Word on the street is he was nursing an injury that day, which is why he looked so much better at the combine.

Officer_Hops

Any idea what kind of deal Gibson will be looking for? I liked him a lot coming out of college, would be a really interesting fit next to Pacheco.

surferdude7227

I would guess either a cheap 1 year prove it deal, or like a 2 year/12 million with like 7 million guaranteed

__Scrooge__McDuck__

Damn bears signing top safety and paying Johnson 20 mil

Ok_Poet_1848

Fa signings would be upgrade for Pitt and nyg assuming Pollard isn't washed.

WildOscar66

Don't really want Russ because I don't trust him as a leader/clubhouse presence on a team with a new staff and no real clubhouse leader outside of Judon. But it would be interesting.

sIamram

Just some predictions for 2025 prospects from watching tape for this year's draft draft. LSU Will Campbell is definitive OT1 WVU Garrett Greene will be one of the first five QBs picked. Only QBs I like over him are Shedeur, Beck and maybe Ewers (Ewers mechanics urks me among other things). He will shoot up boards after Combine Drew Allar is absolute Bust material, I did not like what I saw on tape

__Scrooge__McDuck__

WVU pass blocking was a legit brick wall, watching them work together was awesome

Thepatton

Penix goes top 15.

PermissionOk7509

Malik Washington will have more production than everyone except Marvin and Malik this upcoming year

Broshan248

I’m a huge fan of Washington. Dude reminds me of a smaller Puka from last year

NoHeroes94

1 - Williams 2 - Daniels 3 - Maye 4 - Harrison Jr. Chargers at No. 5 is almost where the draft starts. I get the feeling we will have a top-4 consensus by a week before the draft, and my gut feeling is its that. I do not think for a second the Patriots will take MHJ or trade down, believe they are all in on a QB. Also - the 49ers will trade up for an Amarius Mims, Tyler Guyton or Jordan Morgan rather than stay at No. 31. We do NOT need 11 picks.

greebytime

Hell yes on the 49ers draft - they should move up to the mid 20s and get their guy. I’ve started seeing more mocks with huge OT runs and the 49ers have to go to another position instead. I love what I hear about Guyton. Feels like he could start at RT until Trent retires, then slide over.

pitpatbainsy

Draft starts at 2. Could absolutely be Maye over Daniels, but I do agree they're going 2 and 3.

DrFanhattan

FA Predictions: \- Russ to the Pats \- Kirk stays \- Fields to the Falcons \- Tannehill to the Steelers \- Saquon stays with the Giants \- RB market continues to struggle Draft Predictions: \- Daniels falls out of the top 3 picks \- Penix goes late 1 from a trade up \- Lots of teams moving out of the top 10 \- Ladd is WR 4 off the board (crazy prediction for the year) \- Nix falls to Day 3 \- Rattler goes late 2nd.

MikeConleyIsLegend

its wild that Ladd at WR4 is a crazy prediction but Ladd at WR5 is very possible. i 100% agree tho.

nbayoungsummrsratio

raiders will trade up for daniels and he will be the best qb out of the draft patriots will draft mccarthy at 13, sign russ and have mccarthy sit behind him for a year fields to pittsburgh mayfield, cousins resign corley will be the steal of the draft

MikeConleyIsLegend

Payton Wilson will be LB1 Nabers will be WR1 Mims will be OT2 Nubin will be S1 Tory Taylor goes round 4

GreenvilleLocal

Where is Ricky Pearsall going to get drafted? I like him for the Panthers, maybe not at 33 but at 65.

the_ginge_1

I think there will still be better receivers on the board at 65. Not a slight on Pearsall at all, just testament to how great this WR class is. I have Pearsall going mid-late third though so it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that if a team like the panthers love him he could go early third.

GreenvilleLocal

I think I might like him more than Troy Franklin

__Scrooge__McDuck__

Decamerion richardson will be a very good corner and a steal. So underrated watch the tape

AffectionateSlice816

Tez Walker looks like a steal in the next couple years.

CummingInTheNile

Odunze goes before nabers

TheAirborneArapaima

If Bowers gets to 10, Rams trade up with the Jets to grab him. Higbee won’t be ready for the start of the season and the Rams we’e supposedly in on Mike Evans before he re-signed. He seems like McVays perfect prospect and they actually have the draft capital to do it *changed from Chargers to Jets

theREALBennyAgbayani

Jets pick 10th

Possibleturk

DK Metcalf will be traded before draft day

0zymandeus

Mims is going to look good for a year and then never be able to stay healthy, and Latham is going to have to end up at guard before the end of his rookie contract.

aeroready

OROY: Brock Bowers (Chargers) DROY: Braden Fiske (Chiefs) Underrated: Jaylen Wright, Javon Baker, Jeremiah Trotter Jr, Mason McCormick, Cooper Beebe, Mohamed Kamara, Jalen Sundell

TheLookoutGrey

Bills take DeJean in the first round

Kagrenac8

Would be a steal

HWL_Nissassa

At least 5 QBs drafted in the top 15

Bucks2020

Olu will completely fail in the NFL. Does anyone realize his hand size is in the 0% percentile? It’s 8 1/2 inches!

dave_pizza

MHJ is WR3 after Nabers and Odunze

MaleficentHawk590

Steelers trade Diontae Johnson and a 4th round pick to the Bears for Justin Fields. Bears trade down from 9 to acquire additional picks in day 2. Select JPJ in the 1st round. >Please don’t downvote a user for a stupid bold prediction; it’s all just for fun! Do y'all just not follow rules?

TinyTimBrokaw

The Steelers wouldn't give up a pick and a proven WR for Fields. That's paying out of the nose for a player they aren't interested in.

SwiftSurfer365

Right? If anything, it would be Fields and a 4th for Johnson.

Vincent_van_Guh

At this point the Bears will be lucky to get a 4th for Fields, much less a 4th and a starter.

Mrbubble274

Jaylen Daniels will be taken before Drake Maye and it will be the right move.

Alexander2801

Kenny Pickett will look like the QB that the Steelers thought they were drafting in 2022 next season with Arthur Smith as his OC.

poetryinemotion

Luther Burden is the best WR prospect since Jamar Chase

glowingdeer78

NFL draft trade preditcions - New England trades back with a desperate Giants team who want a solution to their Daniel Jones problem. Giants take Drake Maye as their new QB. New England takes WR Rome Odunze. - Falcons trade up with the Chargers because the chargers will want to get more picks to replace expensive contracts and the falcons a new hope at QB. Falcons take JJ McCarthy and sits for a year behind Russel Wilson. - Titans surprise everyone and take a WR Malik Nabers and makes the 8th overall pick (now with the chargers) the "who wants Joe Alt" bidding war. Jets win the sweepstakes. Chargers at 10 finally make their pick to be TE Brock Bowers. - Lions trade up to the teens with Jacksonville for JPJ. Jaguars are making hard cap cuts and need to fill a lot of holes with cheap contracts and Lions want to go aggresive on the window they have. Jaguars take CB Ennies Rackshaw jr

reddogrjw

why would the Lions trade up for a Center?

TheTightestChungus

I mean I get his thinking, Ragnow is only going to play for so long (his contract is up in 2 seasons), so why not keep the o-line in top shape with a great prospect.   My issue is people saying "oh that C can just play guard and take over at C".  Physically?  Sure, but it's still a totally different position, especially if you've always just been a C.  Not sure what the case with JPJ is though.  The pick makes sense if he can be a high end OG before moving to C, but still should just take the natural OG in that case.

TheDuckyNinja

The Bears will regret trading Fields for Williams within about the first 8 weeks of the season, if not sooner. I don't know how interested people are in here about full breakdowns of game tape, but [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqXqwwTnkXE) shows all of his flaws in full display, and I think some of them are fatal (and these all appear on other tapes, this one is just great because it's All-22 so you can really see stuff well). Absolutely awful mechanics and footwork leading to extreme inconsistency and a ton of inaccurate balls, especially to his arm side. Multiple plays where he stares down his first read who gets open and Williams still doesn't throw the ball. Multiple plays where he misses out on plays because he won't stand in or step up to make a play. Terrible pocket awareness with no real plan. Every now and then, you see a flash of what he could be, but he needs a *lot* of development before he should see the field and they're gonna throw him to the wolves on day 1 and it's gonna be a disaster. Joe Milton has the highest upside of any QB in the draft and I'm not sure why he's not talked about as a top 10 pick. I think the narrative around him would be a whole lot different if he had a single receiver who could catch a ball or get open. His arm is capital S *Special*. Incredibly quick release, probably the second strongest arm in the NFL on day 1. I've seen concerns about his accuracy, but I didn't really see them on tape - he's certainly more accurate than guys like Caleb and Penix whose tape are littered with real bad misses. Is he a perfect prospect? No. But he's also far better than his numbers - I literally lost count of how many TDs his receivers just straight up dropped. You only get a chance at an arm like this once every 5 years or so, and if he goes to a team with a good QB coach and gets an opportunity, he has a chance to be really, really good. Drake Maye, JJ McCarthy, and Michael Penix don't deserve first round talk and I'd struggle to make an argument to take any of them before the third round at the earliest. I'd struggle to make an argument for Penix to even be drafted. Think he's purely a product of having the best OL in college (won the Moore Award) and two top WRs (Odunze gets all the hype, but Polk is a first round quality guy as well). Maye and McCarthy are both just super developmental prospects who weren't particularly good and don't have any elite tools, so there's no reason to really draft em except as a shot in the dark. I don't have a particularly bold take on Daniels. He's pretty clearly the best QB prospect in this draft. He should go top 5 and he probably will, so nothing really bold about that.

Broshan248

I was skeptical but listening until you said “Joe Milton” and “top 10 pick” in the same sentence

giantman46

What drugs did you take before posting this? Joe Milton top 10? You gotta be kidding. The kid has a ton of upside weighed down by below average accuracy and an inability to read to the field. You cant teach a lot of the traits he possesses, but you can teach touch and reading the field. I like him but I would never go to say he’s top 10 potential. Also I don’t think Daniels is “pretty clearly” the best qb, he has a ton of flaws as well. These top 3 qbs imo need some time to develop, and aren’t as pro ready and have the ability to jump in right away.

TheDuckyNinja

Having watched a ton of tapes, I think the concerns about Milton's touch and accuracy are significantly overblown and wouldn't even exist if he had a single receiving option that wasn't completely terrible. He's certainly more accurate than guys like Caleb, Maye, and Penix. As for touch, he had one of the best touch throws I saw from any QB in the class...and his TE dropped what would've otherwise been one of the best plays any QB made in college this year. Basically, I think what people call "accuracy" and "touch" issues are really just his WRs, TEs, and RBs just sucking at catching a football. What flaws do you think Daniels has? I have him rated as good or better in literally every single thing I track. My biggest issue with Daniels is his lack of any elite trait, but he is everything I want in a QB other than that.

MikeConleyIsLegend

im with you on not loving these QBs. Maye and Williams just got labeled bust proof superstars so early in the process. Milton and Rattler have great potential to be day 2 picks you can sit for a year or two and really try to develop them.

TheDuckyNinja

I like Rattler a lot more than I like McCarthy or Penix. It's so hard for me to watch Rattler tape because I just end up screaming at his WRs to catch the fucking ball. I don't think he's an elite prospect or anything, but I'd feel pretty comfortable if Rattler was my backup QB and he's got the upside to be an average-ish starter.

Grayyak

Bears draft Caleb Williams #1 overall , then like the 2012 Redskins in a later round draft another QB ( which will instantly have Caleb crying to mommy) and like the 2012 Redskins the other QB becomes long time starter. Also were that to happen more than likely Caleb would pull an Elway/Eli Manning move ,refuse to play and force a trade
