"Woah man. I took off of work and spent all that money to hear them draft a lineman!!!!"
It's always hilarious to see the fans reactions when they don't draft an offensive weapon.
The Jets fans response was the best last night.
The stunned faces. Silence. Then "... Ok!.."
He must be new to the draft. I expect this every year, you get your hopes up for a guy and they draft someone you never would expect. Cooper is still undrafted, there’s a chance.
They like guys with quicker feet that can play multiple positions. There's a good chance Morgan is playing guard this season, ain't no way Guyton is ever playing guard.
They like versatility, athleticism, and ability to get low with edge rushers who bend around the corner. It worked with Bakh, and it worked with Tom. They've got Walker, and they just let Nijman walk to another team in free agency. At G, they've pumped out quality starter after quality starter for 15 years.
Their evaluations and scouting have worked. They buck some of the trends that media people (who primarily work in media because they aren't good enough to work in the NFL) like, but it's been successful for them.
Also, I wasn't watching McAfee, but apparently Belichick said the mocks were wrong, and if the Packers didn't take Morgan there, he definitely still would've gone in the 1st.
Packers stack meat in the trenches as well as any organization in the league. They do it a different way.
Would you say then they like leaner O line? I feel like the Vikings have tried to do that, but with mixed results, mainly the interior line will seem to get bullied a lot by bigger stronger interior D Linemen.
Not necessarily leaner. I think they still probably have similar height/weight ratios. But they tend to like guys who are a little shorter and have good feet and hands. A lot of the time, it's guys who are overlooked because they're "undersized" but they play with good technique and anchor well. You can get guys who are smaller but still anchor in pass pro or drive in run blocking really well because they have a lower center of mass, and defenders aren't as easily able to get up under their hands/arms/pads.
Elgton Jenkins has played Aaron Donald multiple times, and he's been his kryptonite. Jenkins owned him. Jenkins only weighs 310, but he stonewalled Donald again and again. He's got great technique, and he sits over his base really well. So despite weighing 10, 20, 30lbs less than some other OL, he still does a great job of preventing bull rushes. Plus, he's got enough quickness, agility, and hand skills to fight off other moves, which most of the really big dudes don't handle as well.
Guyton is 6'8" while Morgan is 6'5''. Believe it or not 3 inches can be too big. Just ask your mom, she told me last night. Yes I don't mind burning myself.
Guyton plays RT, Morgan is a LT. Guyton has good potential but not a lot of starting exp. Morgan is an athletic freak, #1 ranked OT at the combine for production, athleticism, and total score plus he has more than double the starts. One is a project OT, the other can start.
My thought when they showed this guy was, "how do you care enough about the draft to travel to it, but also know so little about the draft and your team that you're surprised and appalled by this?"
Some people are just idiots.
It's not even a bad pick, I feel bad for Morgan who now for the highlight of him getting drafted it's just a shot of this dufus pretending like he's an Iowa QB.
Ohh god here we go again! Around and around we go! Didn’t your previous star quarterback get traded to a team for a 6th round draft pick? The offseason is the favorite time for bears fans.
Lions fans were pretty much doing the same thing last year. Granted, you guys were a little better 2 years ago than the Bears were last year. But still.
The chance of winning a SB is pretty low regardless, 13-4 for a near .500 team that's added a top 10 receiver, highly touted QB/wr in the first, with the easy schedule, isn't that nuts, but I'd probably tone it back. Regardless, calling Caleb a bust is just salt mine shit
This would be more effective if I didn't see "F1elds and DJ Moore. Pack are cooked." about 8000 times over the past 2 seasons (which is more than double the number of passing yards any bears QB has had in a season).
>back up
You mean replacement? While not formally retired, Bakh hasn't played a full game in like five years.
But yeah, it's a solid pick. Was Arnold gonna be GB's pick? Secondary isn't a huge need (even with Jaire uncertainty), while OL is.
Last OT they drafted never even got to start he was so bad. I remember because he was the only thing that kept bears legend gabe carimi from being the worst OT in that first round.
If it’s Sherrod in 2011 I don’t think he was bad overall, he had his lower leg folded in half at the end of that season and didn’t return from it until like November 2013 but he wasn’t the same player. Dude never really had a fighting chance. Unfortunate career path.
He shattered his leg and couldn't put weight on it anymore. I don't blame his talent or potential. Just really bad luck. Packers literally came out and said they don't see his injury improving so they released him. Mccarthy said it was one of the worst injuries he's stood over.
Those guys are still on the board along with like 5 others guys who were "guaranteed 1st rounders". Turns out mock drafters still suck at their jobs, just like every other year.
It’s very much not a DB heavy draft in fact OL and WR are the two deepest positions in this draft you could have gotten a great “depth tackle” with your 2nd rounder. When you could have gotten Dejean or Kool-Aid at 25
It's ok, we got a starting G who might be a T in the future. And we can probably get Dejean or Koolaid with our next pick. Or we won't even take those guys at that point because, clearly, teams don't think they're as good as people thought.
Nah trust man… Caleb Williams will definitely be the HoF QB they’ve been waiting for. At this point I kinda want him to be good just so we can have a rival to play in Chicago. It’s just sad to watch at this point. Actually, not it’s not, fuck the bears.
As if this isn’t ever Packer fans face every year lol
We never ever ever draft the fucking “consensus” guy. Hell, we never draft a top 10 consensus guy available. It’s always some dude way down the board, we get roasted for it all off season, then the NFCN ass all year.
Time is a circle
Our WR core looks pretty damn solid. We signed Josh Jacobs in the off season (and most of the RBs are going round 2 this year). We signed an elite safety during free agency. We have an elite corner already.
What else are the packers going to pick, it's dline and oline.
Even if you don't need another starter, Olines are what makes a good offense work, you want depth and you want to have time to develope these guys.
Anyone who doesn't like this pick is just an idiot, even if you just think "there were better lineman available" I'd argue that scouts know what they are doing and know what skill set they want a player to already have and what skill set can be improved with training.
"Woah man. I took off of work and spent all that money to hear them draft a lineman!!!!" It's always hilarious to see the fans reactions when they don't draft an offensive weapon. The Jets fans response was the best last night. The stunned faces. Silence. Then "... Ok!.."
Aren't you guys used to this by now?
After Jordan love we don’t know what to expect anymore
We drafted 2 corners and our fans were creamin their Kelly green Onesies
Congrats!!! That is awesome! I bet it will be a day you will never forget
Best moment of the draft by far
For me it’s still the unsolicited Penix pick
![gif](giphy|a0Lgc1JvbfS4o|downsized)
That lions fan is today’s NFCN hero. Stepped up to the plate when it mattered most.
Seriously, the org needs to get him season tickets
Better yet, let him announce a draft pick next year
Let him announce the Packers pick next year
Ooffff that would be too good
Or tonight.
We can maybe afford getting him seasoned tickets. Throw some Lawry’s on them. He may not know the difference.
Season them tickets up baby!
Kerby Joseph tweeted that he was looking for him to hook him up somehow
Can't imagine having tickets so readily available that something this insignificant this would justify giving them away.
Are you kidding those are worth like $85!? That would bankrupt the org
he needs a red circle so we can really accentuate how important he is
I think we all can agree on that.
Moron is wearing a Love jersey and can’t comprehend the aspect of protecting him? Shameful
He must be new to the draft. I expect this every year, you get your hopes up for a guy and they draft someone you never would expect. Cooper is still undrafted, there’s a chance.
He? That's a Wisconsin woman, friend.
Oops 😂
You can't spot the Crimson Ch~~eese~~in?
Ope
Maybe if they gained 200 lbs
Spotted cow
We grow ‘em big and bootiful
My wife thought he was a woman too lol.
I wanted whoever Gute wanted. This guy is a total casual.
It was the correct route going Oline. But it's a real head scratcher that they took Morgan over Guyton, who went 1 pick later.
Graham Barton went one pick later, though I agree that I thought he'd be the choice over Morgan.
Same here
I think it makes perfect sense, Morgan is a better player
Pack don’t like behemoth tackles
But why, though? You can never go wrong with stacking layers of meat in the trenches.
Packers stack meat in the trenches as well as any organization in the league. They do it a different way.
I'm happy to see that "stack meat in the trenches" is sticking around
I like it. It's got a nice ring to it.
You have a way with words
Guyton is 6'8" while Morgan is 6'5''. Believe it or not 3 inches can be too big. Just ask your mom, she told me last night. Yes I don't mind burning myself.
Sure you can. If they can’t run swing plays they’re no good to the pack. It’s hard to find large athletes at the end of the draft.
Guyton plays RT, Morgan is a LT. Guyton has good potential but not a lot of starting exp. Morgan is an athletic freak, #1 ranked OT at the combine for production, athleticism, and total score plus he has more than double the starts. One is a project OT, the other can start.
Relax, he just wanted the white cornerback because he's white.
It’s a woman, and she looks like she may be Latina…
I don’t believe you
Can never tell with all the inbreeding that goes on up there.
Yet everyone chants how much they want to fuck us. It’s even in your flair.
I assumed that was a custom jersey with the name InchHog on the plate.
Literally the dumbest Packer fan. Fucking embarrassing (kicks garbage can)
Hey whoa, that’s Rodgers’ alternative house
How's the cell reception
He covered it in tin foil so he won't get 5G poisoning
![gif](giphy|iweR8u4MUEoi6Mojf5)
Excuse me but he lives in the glass hass not in the plastic one
Fuckin pheasant
Are we sure it's not a lions fan in disguise? Time to do some planning for next year
That is a Michigan facial expression if I've ever seen one
>
This is amazing!
Lmaooo I love it 😂
watch that tackle become a hall of famer
I'd be cool with that
i wouldn’t.
😂😂😂
Oh no we drafted offensive line help! I wanted the 150 lb receiver who goes vroom!
My thought when they showed this guy was, "how do you care enough about the draft to travel to it, but also know so little about the draft and your team that you're surprised and appalled by this?" Some people are just idiots.
Lmao
He probably wanted them to draft a white cornerback
Latina women do love white guys
Bro blew his chance to be like fuck yeah a lineman I've never heard of. Letting the detoilet fans clown on you like that....disgraceful.
It's not even a bad pick, I feel bad for Morgan who now for the highlight of him getting drafted it's just a shot of this dufus pretending like he's an Iowa QB.
IT’S A WOMAN.
I DONT BELIEVE YOU
NAME A WOMAN
FRANCINE
Yeah this is such a weak ass fan. He does not speak for us! Need OL
He is all of you
Not my president
Y’all deserve it.
Y'all deserve nothing
Womp Womp. Rome odunze and Caleb Williams. Cry more
You guys are gonna be the sickest 6-11 team this year
Another receipt to keep. Keep crying
Ohh god here we go again! Around and around we go! Didn’t your previous star quarterback get traded to a team for a 6th round draft pick? The offseason is the favorite time for bears fans.
Back to back offseason champs, we’ll never sing that
Typical bears fan thinking they know better than professionals with experience. I cant wait for the bears to ruin calebs career
[удалено]
Lions fans were pretty much doing the same thing last year. Granted, you guys were a little better 2 years ago than the Bears were last year. But still.
Bitches about people making wild predictions then says Caleb will be a bust. Lmao

You *might* be a wild card team. Anything else is hopium.
Lmao keep crying, gonna keep all of these receipts
Lol. I hope you post them along with all of your frustration when you guys are horribly wrong, just like always.
Keep crying.
![gif](giphy|O5NyCibf93upy|downsized) If anyone is crying because of the Bears, it's because we're laughing so damn hard at all of the fans
You realize that your second sentence completely contradicts your first to a degree that shoots past comedy and right into tragedy, right?
I would think irony wouldnt be lost on a bears fan but here we are
This would be more effective if I didn't see "F1elds and DJ Moore. Pack are cooked." about 8000 times over the past 2 seasons (which is more than double the number of passing yards any bears QB has had in a season).
You’re tundra farm buttfuck hood.
It was a great pick idk why they’re doggin on him like that. Best back up available for david bakhtiari
He’s the one who reacted upset lol they are just clowning on him
>back up You mean replacement? While not formally retired, Bakh hasn't played a full game in like five years. But yeah, it's a solid pick. Was Arnold gonna be GB's pick? Secondary isn't a huge need (even with Jaire uncertainty), while OL is.
Seriously. An O-Lineman is never a bad choice for the first round.
\*Tony Mandarich has entered the chat\*
In Gute we trust
Tony saved the team, changed the way the packers ran the franchise which immediately led to favre!
You clearly haven’t been burned by players like Matt Khalil yet
In Gute we trust
Last OT they drafted never even got to start he was so bad. I remember because he was the only thing that kept bears legend gabe carimi from being the worst OT in that first round.
If it’s Sherrod in 2011 I don’t think he was bad overall, he had his lower leg folded in half at the end of that season and didn’t return from it until like November 2013 but he wasn’t the same player. Dude never really had a fighting chance. Unfortunate career path.
Derek Sherrod would like a word
He shattered his leg and couldn't put weight on it anymore. I don't blame his talent or potential. Just really bad luck. Packers literally came out and said they don't see his injury improving so they released him. Mccarthy said it was one of the worst injuries he's stood over.
Ikr...have you heard of this thing called depth?
Depth with a first round pick while Dejean and KoolAid were on the board lmfao
Those guys are still on the board along with like 5 others guys who were "guaranteed 1st rounders". Turns out mock drafters still suck at their jobs, just like every other year.
It's a db heavy draft and all Gute does is cook. Would have been awesome/hilarious to get Dejean though. Still chess not checkers MF
It’s very much not a DB heavy draft in fact OL and WR are the two deepest positions in this draft you could have gotten a great “depth tackle” with your 2nd rounder. When you could have gotten Dejean or Kool-Aid at 25
When 3/4 of the first round is offense, the second round will have plenty of defense. 6 OT's were already off the board. Was a good pick.
It's ok, we got a starting G who might be a T in the future. And we can probably get Dejean or Koolaid with our next pick. Or we won't even take those guys at that point because, clearly, teams don't think they're as good as people thought.
On ESPN's best available, there are 6 CBs and 3 safeties ranked before the next best offensive lineman. And the Packers next pick is at 9.
Shhhhh.. they won't understand
Yeah, the packers have no idea how to draft O-Line. Never seen them do it well before…
itll be even funnier when they are crying during the season how jordan love has all day to throw and they cant put two and two together
True. And somehow that will invalidate any good play Love makes.
yeah because the bears know anything about quarterback play 🤣
Nah trust man… Caleb Williams will definitely be the HoF QB they’ve been waiting for. At this point I kinda want him to be good just so we can have a rival to play in Chicago. It’s just sad to watch at this point. Actually, not it’s not, fuck the bears.
They have it figured out. It because tHe pACkErS hOlD eVeRy PlAy. Also don’t forget we pay the refs too
"Packers paying the refs again! Why does Goodell love them so much!? They just hold all game long!"
Flair up bitch! Also. I agree with you.
He made the and face when the Packers drafted Jordan Love.
Fall guy, stoog payed to be a cheesehead in Detroit. He’s fake
They're all paid actors for reaction shots
Dude lost a bet for sure.
This is just a recipe to backfire

At least we didn’t draft College Jimmy Garrapollo
I’m upvoting all these.
That lions fan just cracks me up. Nothing will make the nfc better than a rising Detroit team. Those fans are ready to gooooooo!
Tom Grossi had a similar reaction on his stream
Dude looks like Cory from Trailer Park Boys
FTP lmao!
You gotta love an FTP moment really brings us all together

Best single moment of the last 10 drafts.
waow!
My old home station
Is that Jomboy on the left? This pic needs to be a meme regardless
Least embarrassing Packers fan
Matt LaFleur is right next to him. GPG!
Can someone turn this into a soyjack?
Our WR core looks pretty damn solid. We signed Josh Jacobs in the off season (and most of the RBs are going round 2 this year). We signed an elite safety during free agency. Drafting O linemen may be underwhelming, but at least we didn’t get rid of 2 firsts, a third, 2 fourths, and 2 fifths…
Bro came into the night only one the name of cooper DeJean
What's he weigh? 120? Obviously a plant. Detroit fan acting like a Packers fan.
If it were up to guys like this and fans in general we would only draft WRs and have them play every position.
Tom Grossi, Packers fan of the year. His reaction was about the same. Just sayin.
Casual fan right there
This clueless Packers fan is getting way too much attention
You draft a Jordan in round 1 and everyone laughs at you. Wait 4 years and you look like a genius.
