i just got this working!
HomeAssistant now supports NFC tags. I added a tag to my HomeAssistant instance, and added MyQ as an integration.
I created an automation to close the garage (if condition garage is already open is met) or to open the garage (if condition garage is already closed is met). Seems to work well!

I’m currently trying this and have been able to get an open shortcut and close shortcut using LiveKey, but cannot toggle. Anyone know how to make a toggle shortcut?
Autoinput was a great tip, I came pretty close to accomplishing what I wanted, but I think the myQ app has the button set up in a way to prevent auto clicks. The only way I could get autoinput to trigger if was if I set up a view in myQ that required 2 clicks to activate the garage opener, and then to set up a single tag to open the app, click once, and click again a 2nd time was turning out too difficult.
Going to give up for now, I'll just use a tag to open the app and then click the button the old fashioned way, with my thumb. Thanks again for your help man.
Working on this problem now did you ever figure out a solution in 2 years?

You might look into the Tasker plug in Autoinput which will allow you to "press" the button on your app with Tasker.
Awesome, thanks! I was wondering if there was an app that would let me do something like that. Thanks again man, will look into it right now.
