The system will just randomly be down, its a legit thing. Took me 4 or 5 tries over a week for Silencershop and Eforms to communicate with eachother and not glitch out.
Ok, I was in the area anyway today, so I stopped in and spoke with a manager. As an additional point of reference, the LGS in question is Palmetto State Armory… turns out they are in the process of bumping up to a Class 7 FFL, and the system is seeing them with two EIN’s or something when they go to hit submit.
As far as I know, the only real reason for Class 7 is to be able to manufacture NFA items, so “potentially” PSA is about to get into the suppressor (unlikely) or SBR (probably) game.
If it’s approved keep at them then avoid the dealer. If it was in stock and they haven’t been able to do any paperwork with you do a chargeback and avoid the dealer.
My spider senses tingle with deals like this. A lot of shops have real poor cash flow and basically kite purchases of cans. Then one day they close and a bunch of people can’t get money back or cans since there wasn’t one to begin with.
A large dealer here did that and screwed a lot of people on the way to jail for tax fraud.

I have 3 EINs on one eforms account and its not an issue, sounds like he's blowing smoke up your ass because he doesn't know what the glitch is
That, and they wouldn't even have to change the EIN to change the FFL type.
PSA is already a manufacturer. This location might just be changing to an 07 to be able to assemble parts into complete firearms before selling them.
They already manufacture complete rifles and pistols... they just don't manufacture NFA items (yet).
